Sounds great. And reminds me I need to work on my picking. As a new player, it's easy for me to get stuck in a clawhammer rut. It's so easy and sounds good.

I hear you, and I agree. Learning picking styles definitely gives you all the more utility as a banjo player regardless of the style. I highly recommend learning both picking and clawhammer techniques simultaneously, even from the beginning. They inform each other greatly, so it isn't as hard as it sounds.
