Wow another beautiful model! I personally just finished building a Class B Shay. I suggest when building the instructions to take advantage of subcategories. They seriously help in complicated builds. You can have a subset, inside a subset, inside a larger subset to simplify a build. Start with larger parts as you have done already, each set of drive wheels, the boiler, cab, and tender. From there makes more subcategories like tender wheels and roofs to your boiler. If you think something needs to be assembled prior to installing on the main part, sub it. Making it into smaller and smaller parts makes the entire model less daunting. With my Shay, the side gears were challenging to install. But using subsets I was able to show the builder how/when they fit together right. When choosing where to start your instructions, I found it easiest to start at the end and work your way back by using the New Step After. Working on surface plates/tiles, then supports, then the main frame and so on. It's easier to dismantle the entire thing then start from the beginning. With your wiring, I would just show as.many images in the build as possible using insets. Hope this helps! Happy Building!
Another amazing build. I'm definitely looking forward to being able to buy instructions since I'm trying to build up my fleet whilst I learn to build locos.
I actually debated between the Q1 and Q2. The biggest problem with the Q1 is with the skirts that cover the tops of the drivers... it's very difficult to do these well unless you actually implement a rigid frame, which leads to all sorts of other issues. Maybe on a long enough timeline though!
@@nav1347 It's a tough build for sure. The Q2 is already longer than the T1 and the S1 is even longer. There's a lot of complex curves as well. I think you can't do it with the skirts either, but it does look like they were removed throughout the unit's lifetime.
@@nav1347 they were removed to make maintenance easier. My buddy is making the TSC (Train Simulator Classic) Freeware model using the Builder diagrams. And both versions are included. We found out a lot about the S1 and what went on in its development
As usual, another fantastic model! Just out of curiosity, have you considered using a BuWizz battery/receiver brick for power instead of stock Lego electronics? Feel like that may solve some of the power problems you've been trying to solve, since the BuWizz bricks can output up to 11.2v of power compared to the 9v you'd get from Lego
Generally speaking I really prefer to use official parts where possible, especially if I'm going to make instructions. For this model it's a bit of a wash since I already need to use XL wheels, but at least for now that's unavoidable... That being said, I actually do want to get more hands on some circuit cubes to play around with some smaller builds. Maybe this year!
i also have a suggestion to what you could make maybe a prr s1? its another duplex and it would be a good challenge to make because of its size its ur choice tho

Im making a Lego K4 1361
with sounds

Beautifully done mate! I love how close the drive wheels are to the front wheels. Very realistic.
Thanks! R104 really helps meet those spacing constraints: not just the 2nd and 3rd axles, but the 4th and 5th too!
I may have misheard at 0:13 second. But, the Q2, was not a sibling of the T1. It was a successor of the Q1.
You are correct; I only meant it in a broader sense.
This is all kinds of awesome, the Q2s are epic locomotives.
If I had the right LEGO bricks I could possible build something very similar, that is a very SWEET LEGO steam engine PRR
Hey thanks!
Finally a lego Q2. Looks fantastic my guy great job
Was so tempted to get the bricks for this. I'll save myself until I see someone create an S2 however
Nice! Now you gotta try the bullet nose Q1!

@@NonsenseWarsi have done a deskirted Q1 with rigidframe and XXL drivers
This is amazing! Awesome work bro! I would love to see you attempt to do the Milwaukee A class Atlantic! Or even better.. A Deskirted PRR S1 Duplex.
Lol, looks like there's two votes for the S1 already.
@@NonsenseWars i think that is because there is not really any good S1 mocs out there
i have been looking for a while and i cant find one

@@NonsenseWars the skirts were removed because of the engines size
it is still a stunning engine tho.

Very impressive.

that is so nice
good job once again!! 👍👍

Probably take a poll at some point, I'm pretty close to the end of my own shortlist of engines!
Please make instructions to this amazing locomotive. I'd love to have it on my layout and also I'm a big fan of the T1
Hello, you can buy instructions for it on our Rebrickable: reb.li/m/139300
@@NonsenseWars Thank you :)
Love to buy instructions on this ...
A lot of people have asked now, so maybe next week or the week after :)
I want to build this how do I do it
Hello, you can purchase instructions for this on our Rebrickable. Do note that it is a complicated model to build though. reb.li/m/139300
Is Legoboyz21
hey... I think i know you from rebrickable!
im building a PRR k4, in case i havent told you yet
We link the videos in all the Rebrickable listings lol
