This is the fifth video of my tutorial series on how to build your own “Flaura”, which is my Do-It-Yourself, Open-source project.
Flaura is a smart, self-watering plant pot that comes with the following features:
    - 3D printed housing
    - Integrated water tank
    - Soil moisture measurement
    - Automatic watering
    - Rechargeable battery
    - Arduino Code
    - App control and data display
    - Push notifications
Consider watching the introductory video, to learn more about the features and my future plans with Flaura: • Flaura - Automatic, Sm...
I will release more step-by-step video tutorials here in the future on how to build such a plant pot yourself. Stay tuned! 😉

The easiest way to get solder off of a short or from within a through hole is to warm the solder properly, and use momentum to tap the solder off or out of the board. Generally pretty accessible as well, cuz all you do it is tap it against the table.

Love this project!! I would like to use the "water level" setup you designed. Could explain more on how it works? thank-you

I saw something similar yesterday to your product although I have no idea how similar it is 🤷🏼‍♂️ it was on the UK program called The Gadget Show

You asked if we would be willing to purchase assembled units. I never heard the results of that survey and if you are going to sell completed units or Kits?

I will initially offer kits and later also completed units. There are a lot of things going on in the background right now, so I'm very busy. Stay tuned ;)

Theres no way to use newer lolin D32 board? after like half year hunting and getting scammed, because false advertizing. Lolin offical store is full of these new ones and cant find that older anywhere or if I somehow I find one it cost more than 50€. Starting to lose hope with this. D32 is now like my 7th board that I got

You (the viewer) may have a 'maker space' or 'hacker space', and they may have a collection of components (the resistors and diodes, and likely more), a soldering iron, and they may well have people who are willing to help out a newcomer to either hobby. Be friendly and polite. "I would like help assembling this. I have not done it before or I would like a more experienced person to help boost my confidence." is generally preferred over "I would like someone to assemble this for me."
(written in my capacity of Board of Directors member of EugeneMakerspace in Eugene Oregon, US)
Seriously if there is one close to where you are, go check them out. They may offer a scheduled open house and a tour of their facilities. Who knows, perhaps some day you will enjoy designing something of your own.

Habe noch nie gesehen, dass jemand auf der Bauteilseite lötet. Kann das auch nicht empfehlen. Also schon immer auf der Unterseite löten!
