We have to have all our vehicles inspected every year (Over 3 years old) and if they fail you cannot use them on our roads until repaired and re-inspecfted.!!! Suspect there are vary many "unroadworthy" vehicles using US roads every day and no doubt causing accidents/crashes/deaths. OK that's a decision that your country has decided to take but there must be many such accidents/deaths which could have been avoided if problems had been properly dealt with. As usual your abilities in repairing such vehicles is miraculous and I am sure you have contributed to the health of both your customers and their vehicles over the years. Keep up the good work!!! Stay safe and well.

Well after three attempts I finally got to watch the whole vid.
When you talked about the lub system and disconnecting the drive shaft it brought back some memories.
Waaay back in the early '70s I was heavily involved in the vw bug thing. There were companies that made adapters that were sold to go between the rear brake drums and wheels. They allowed the rear wheels to "free wheel" when the car was towed, just had to lock the E brake. Those things were life savers for the transaxels.
    Good show Wes, thanks

Wes I love the videos and your snarky commentary on the lack of integrity in the 'parts' situation in this disposable society we've created. Two final words "Indian Head Shellac"

Pre 1980 we hardly ever didn't have a time without a manual ransmission out for rebuild and or repair, one of my faverot jobs, Spicer and Clark units. After 1980 we switched over to fuller road rangers. Didn't have to do much to fullers at all.

The Eaton is more of a truck transmission. I’ve seen lots of failures of the New Process and other pickup transmissions used in bigger trucks.

Wes, I watch a few towing channels and knew they removed the drive shaft. I didn’t know how it would burn up the transmission but now I know. Excellent video and thank you for educating us.
