My girlfriend lives 6 hours away while she is at school. She has been home for just over a month and she has been acting different, the other night she was at my house to watch some Netflix and she was acting weird so I stopped the show and asked what’s up. We had a long talk about how she feels different these days and doesn’t see us getting married anymore and doesn’t know if she wants to do 4 more years of long distance. Ok, as a female that is reading these comments I feel the need to just say this; just because a women says she needed space doesn't mean she has found someone 'better'.... I asked a guy to give me space once as I was going through mental health episodes and did not want to burden him with my pain.
Please please do not just assume she isn't interested, don't be shallow. Be patient, and assess the women you are chasing to begin with, because a real women will not play you if she sees value in the relationship and won't just go find someone else. Please don't overthink it.

I don't know why everybody jumps the gun that there's a new guy or there's a new girl I've told women myself that I needed some space some time to work on myself I didn't date anybody I wasn't entertaining anybody I was trying to figure stuff out in my life and I couldn't give 100% of myself to the relationship and I didn't think it was fair that's what's wrong with people they're so quick to assume because they hear I need space. Wow thank you so much for this video! I’m going through this right now with my girlfriend. At first I was having a hard time not talking to her. I felt like if she didn’t see that I was trying or fighting to keep her, it would make her leave.
But you’ve made me realize that the most powerful thing I can do is just GIVE her that space.
And that’s what I have been doing....it’s been 24 hours now and still staying strong lol. It’s a hard thing to do when this person is your best friend in life.

Give it freedom, and focus your efforts on providing the most desirable perch, for it to return to. If it does not return, then it does not recognize the value of what you have to offer, and likely would have left eventually, anyway. If it feels smothered, then it cannot focus on your admirable qualities. It just wants to fly. Remember - freedom leaves the perch open for the right bird to see it. It will recognize it’s incredible value, because it is looking for it, right now.

when i was dating my ex, she needed space, and mainly because she wanted to focus on school. So i gave her space and decided it’s best to just not say anything to her. Unfortunately, months came by and she broke up with me. In the end i was glad that we had the space so i wasn’t really hurt in the end. We weren’t fit for eachother and i decided it was better to leave it in the past. I eventually found a girl who i know that I’m more fit for. Been with her for a year now and it’s the longest I’ve been in a relationship without any issues. No fights, no arguments, just pure affection and love between me and her that Ive been missing from my whole life :). Guys it’s not the end of the world, things happen and we just have to move on. Better days will come

That jest happened to me. About a week ago. And I sent her a text. Letting, her know that my time is limited. And that her actions speak louder than words. So she did what I expected, her to do. And that was blocked me immediately. Lol... after, ("being the nice guy!") And being played. Them taken advantage of. Not to mention! I even purchased a "brand new" ("car battery.") for her (:Chevy Tahoe.") And didn't even know that, I was being played... Also found out that she would only contact me. So after further investigating... the situation, and her personality! I had basically told her to go kick rocks that I would not be taken advantage of anymore. and as I stated she went ahead and block me. which is okay with me. Because, I'm worth more than, jest being, someone else's puppet.

I have been making every single mistake u pointed out, I call I text constantly, I show up unannounced and even uninvited I question I assume I abuse i do everything except give space. After watching this video the cringing in my stomach the gears in my head they have all calmed down. I'm going to give that space. I backing all the way off, become a stranger and see what she does. Just happened to me. I gave her space she had her friend message me that she’s okay and I don’t need to worry. I sometimes message her friend asking if how is she doin. But I felt like I’m still not giving her the space if I kept messaging her friend just to ask about her. So I decided to wait for her patiently. It’s been 5 days now since she deactivated her account.

Although this video is 6 years old it has opened up my eyes and the best thing that I can do for myself. This be a better person to myself. That way I could be a better person for her. I’m currently dealing with this right now. We broke up almost 6 months ago, given a second chance, I blew it. I wasn’t involved in her life as I should’ve been or maybe I was, but I wasn’t involving her in my life as I should. I’m learning more and more about what made up to this point and what I can do to make it better the next time around. I hope it works out in the end because I still love her and I I’m not a perfect person. He briefly brought it up, but that was it. And side note, I was giving him all the possible space I could when he wasn't reaching out even if it was difficult. A little later, he canceled a date and postponed another one - while he was very busy, which apparently didn't stop him from hanging out with friends and going about his life. I said we need to talk. Days passed, we didn't - he was busy... I said I need space - now he's mad. Do I want space - No. Do I want to be with someone who's not even willing to talk or is avoiding me - heeeeellll No. Because believe me, if I upset someone this clearly - a fucking natural disaster wouldn't stop me from giving an apology and making things right. I believe you should never be up a woman's butt, however if she likes you, she'll continue the efforts of wanting to get to know you better. Simply saying that I'll match (to a degree) her efforts into making it work. If she's asking for space (out of the blue); I'll give it to her "No problem", because I also am a communicator; however, if there's issues that weren't discussed between us, then there's something else there. Like you said, "It could be situational", therefore giving her that space may be "key" for allowing her to figure it all out, "who knows"? All I'll say is, my life and time will continue, and I may, or may not be available when she wishes to return.

I have to say.... you pretty much nailed it. I studied masculinity & feminine energy for 10 years. I learned to observe her mood & body behavior and I give her space naturally. I'm going through this right now. I got to a point where all my focus was on her and nothing else . It was suffocating her and I didn't realise . She must have felt like I had her on a chain and was watching her constantly, and I was. This caused her to start pulling away from me and I found she had been confiding in a friend of mine (male freind) behind my back . This made it worse because I would say things like it's as good as cheating, and if I catch you speaking to him again I'll have to sort him out because I've always been a straight in your face aggressive kind of person.so this only got worse and worse. I had people telling me to get rid of her, your being played but I didn't get rid of her and that's because instead of being my old ",I know it all and it's not me , self I stopped and thought for a change. It was my fault she was confiding in someone else because I wasn't doing my job as a man and giving her what she needs as a woman. So she asked for space and I did all the wrong things ,so we are living a part atm but she still drives an hour every few nights to stay with me for the night and now I realise it wasn't her it was me ,the anger I carried with me about her talking to another man has gone and i now tell her everyday that she's beautiful or how funny she can be but not in a needy way and things are changing. I don't take her for granted anymore and I realise people do strange things and that I am miserable when she is not with me but if I don't respect her alone time and give her space and trust then i will lose her and be miserable always. So I've learned "don't try to understand women or try to figure them because we are two different creatures , just enjoy them .

Also, try not to look at her Instagram right now as it's not going to help you. She can also be posting photos to make you jealous. During your no contact time, I invite you to stay busy. Apollonia Ponti she didn't say she's exclusively breaking up with me. She did say " hey I'm going through my final exams and all. I need some time and space and put this "relatioship on hold" to process this and after I'm done processing and finish my exams we'll meet up in person and she'll let me know as to whether or not she wants to continue this. Hello Raza. You will hear from her again but you need to get some control back into your hands from this relationship. 30 day no contact is the way to go. Then, think about the activities that you like to do. What are you interested in doing activities sports? Once you figure that out do it and stay busy! workout and post photos of you doing new things and happy as well. You want to take this time to focus on you as she will be more attracted to the confidence you have when she reaches out again. Remember she will reach out again but you want to make sure you are happy when she reaches out to you as woman are attracted to this. Apollonia Ponti I did exactly as you suggested after watching this video I work out more than I usually do. Work on my goals more everything more to compensate and sooth my anxiety. I in fact bought a ticket to India and am in India right now to keep my thoughts occupied. I'm pretty gung ho when it comes to succeeding and I hope and pray that I'll succeed with this relationship too. Anywho after posting several videos and pictures of my trip she slide me a DM and said " take good care of yourself wherever you are. Be safe. Hope you'll find peace" My response was casual and slightly aloof. I kept it short and simple afterall if she'd really care she can call me via whatsapp. She read my message but hasn't responded but I'm not going to force a continuation and let her do all the reaching out. Maybe her attraction is slowly creeping back up. I don't know. I'm gonna keep doing what you suggested , trust the process and and order a private coaching soon. Just like I mentioned in tip #1 that as woman when we see that you are ok without us it shifts are mind and we tend to gain the attraction back and see that we don't want to lose what we had. From reading these comments amd watching the video, I am glad I have found these Ponti videos. I had been watching this since the first week of grad school (May 20). And I have to say...these videos are educational and pragmatic. I have never been good with relationships and often give in to my insecurities because I felt I was at fault. And I would break my neck to make things right.

I’m in a weird predicament because I wanted a break to focus on my issues with communication, being a better supporter and everything. Our communication became better, how we dealt with stuff became better but I still felt individually stuck. She asked for space because she has alot going on with family issues, so I respected that and am giving her time. But, at the same time each time we are apart, I grieve a bit, I cry, I get sad and question it all, but then I snap out of it so quickly and I sink back into myself and am happy again. This is really something that I have learnt. just passed this situation where she asked for space, been asking myself what will come out later after the space. I gave her a partial space, been nice to her and been giving her gifts to show I still care for her. We later talked about the misunderstanding but she seemed to still wanted that space because she never accepted that we start all over new. I've been through this recently was with my (thought to be soul mate) when after 15 years says she wants a break we have been together since we were 17 years old. It was out of know where and completely unexpected to me. For the first time in my life, I am with a woman who sometimes tells me she needs space. The hardest part for me, is that this is also the woman I happen to be more in love with than anyone I've deeply cared for. When she tells me she needs space, I honestly freak out because she'll tell me like this "Babe, it's nothing you did, I've just had a bad day/night and don't feel like talking to anyone right now. Well, this happened most recently Sunday night and then yesterday early evening I see her at the gym with her gf and she's smiling, laughing, looking like she's perfectly fine and having a grand old time.
