Yep, you're 100% correct about BB8 not fitting properly, my Son's X-Wing has the same issue with BB8 sticking up quite a bit. 😕 Oh well, at least he's fairly tight in there; great review! 😁👍
Great vid Kevin, Jazwares did a really nice job on the T-70. Indeed the microfigs are definitely getting better with each wave. Yeah my T-70 has that same issue where the wings sometimes have a hard time closing easily.
Thanks for the comment and glad to hear that mine is not defective. I really need a flight stand for this though because it looks really awesome with the s foils open.
These are nice, got the Luke Xwing. Just wish the bottom screws were hidden.... maybe jazwares can give us a stand also, and I wish the nose and foils were a bit longer
Agreed. Certainly the screws are much more apparent on this black model. Totally agree on the stand also. These things look SSSOOO cool with the sfoils open. I am going to get some other action figure stands to display these in flight position.
@@superfunforce8052 I removed the wash on the Luke xwing with isopropyl alcohol and it looks much better. There is actually a lot of paint detail under the wash. I have a video of it in here somewhere.
They are coming. Looks like some stores are starting to finally push those out. There has been S4 hitting stores but if you aren’t the first one there when they go out people are buying them all once they see them. Not sure what the deal is with S2-3 but I am sure we will see them eventually.
Looks great. The T70 body seems a more thick than it should be. Probably to fit the pilot at that scale. Anybody know why the thrusters are shorter on the bottom? AF does the same think, but I have never seen that stagger in other models.
Great point and thanks for the comment! Thrusters are shorter as a safety feature, so it can’t stand vertical. Action fleet did the same thing. Yes I think they cheated the scale slightly also to fit it in the packaging.
@@robbates4704 haha me neither! This is another reason why the Gauntlet has a rubber tip on the wings and the nose of the ship since it can be oriented to point vertical.
I got my bb8 to fit better by taking a 2mm drill bit and deepening the hole a bit. Seems like that stud inside the xwing is a lot longer than the hole on bb8. Found this out cause r2d2 fits perfectly and his hole was a lot deeper than bb8s.
I don’t believe so. That said there can be some variability from the factory if there is a paint change or if the wash they used is applied differently.
for me is something is a little off, I think that the main body is a little too big or too wide(?) i mean, i look the wings and look awesome, i look the main body and looks great!, but together i dont feel it as agile as in the movies (and other secuel x wing toys), but i can be wrong, obviously hehe thrusters don't make sense how good they look, it's amazing the figures look so good as well can you put an R2 in poe's x wing?
Yea I think they had to cheat the scale a little to make sure it fit in the packaging and for other reasons I am not sure about. In the flight position it looks really good. I kind of want to keep it in that position instead of having it in the landed position. I haven’t tried putting r2 in there but the cavity is pretty big so I would imagine it would fit. There may be some gaps though on the front and back since R2 is more of a cylinder than a ball.
Dear, I love your review videos. But... Can you show us all those diferent Tie Fighters, that appear in the back there... That yellow one, and those up... Pleeeease.
@@imtoys23 I have two different yellow Tie Fighters. One is a custom Mining Guild Tie Fighter. The other is a 3D printed tie defender. I am hoping to do a video on my collection but it’s big and will take some time to get through it. Haha, I do have some pictures of it up on my Facebook page for MGS that I run.
Looks fantastic, great addition and X-Wing variant!
nice review 🤘

11:22 My favorite is Luke and Poe's X-Wing Starfighters, much to Queen Cersei's dismay

And I want a clean OG Xwing, unwashed lol

@@kmtanner04 yes I saw! I had some alcohol hand wipes only 70% but I used a few and it did help. I'll get some 91% soon and wipe it down some more!
You can fit an R2 unit in the back socket.
All the stores near me still only have series 1..... it's so unfortunate. I feel like I will never find a chase of any kind lol.

Great idea. I did the exact opposite just trimming the peg inside the port.
Was there a second run of these with darker orange?

The design of the new X wing while looking good makes no sense. What functionality are the half pipes rather than round turbines supposed to serve?
