I like your no nonsense approach and I like that you talk about safety too, even wearing a helmet when you do skateboard reviews. Thumbs UP to you Chris.
I like to use the OEM brake pads / shoes due to the quality. Not all brake pads / shoes are created equal and my life is worth the price. Nice video.
Yep me too all my Toyota cars and my Tacoma I use nothing but OE parts and have always gotten great service life out of them I have a 2005 Tacoma and just put all OE parts on from new rotors pads and hardware and new calipers because the piston was stuck on one I also did the rear new shoes drums and hardware got everything from a dealership selling packages on eBay saved a lot I figured my truck is coming up on 20 years and I never had to spend a lot on it so I figured it was worth spending the money
WTG Renaissance man. Working in 28 degrees outside I will forgive the Elmer Fudd hat.....lol. Hopefully Jen was cooking up a hot meal for you when you were finished.
Great video. About to tackle drum brakes on an 01 Tacoma. Very enjoyable to watch & learn. Keep ‘em coming.
In ct we don’t have any sort of physical vehicle inspections. Just think of all the “safe” vehicles that are riding around up here.
Another great teaching video by master Chris! Thank you and please keep the mechanical repair videos coming!
Thanks Adan
I live in Karachi Pakistan and I like your comment
Funny how you did not record how you put back the big spring on the top.
That is the one thing I wanted to see how it was done.. took me forever to do it myself.
Another great production from NNKH Studios.. keep em coming brother !!!
Thanks man!
Don't forget to pump the brakes before you go people!!
You are one busy guy :-) Great video
Question do the drum brake adjust them self when you step on the brake?
Why can't you be my neighbor, did that job exactly like I've done. Older now and layed up after surgery. Should probably hand in my man card.
I thought drum brakes were a thing of the past?
Not on trucks
Toyota loves them on the Tacomas, but thank god they are moving away from them on the 4th gen
Hate back breaks .... 😎
Good video. These people who do “bare minimum” on safety related stuff are idiots. Penny wise and pound foolish. Also just a suggestion - your vids are better without background music.
Thx man. And I appreciate the feedback
Dude, thank you for the video but couldn't you simply SLOWLY show the details when disassembling and reassembling? What's the point of the video then?
To give you an idea of what's involved with the job.
you need some more youtube bucks to get a nice big shop and don't have to do that in the driveway
I don't mind working on the ground. But yeah maybe a bigger garage one day with a lift
