Makes me happy to see you pick products I have purchased or wish to have. I bought a Kershaw Camp 10 and two Voodoo Hawks from a local store and paid only $25 for each. I have been extremely lucky to find good deals otherwise I would not have some of the knives that I own now. Reviews like yours, Gideonstactical, EverydayTacticalVids, SurvivalOnPurpose, Sootch00 and your cousin GhostKamo, help me to focus and target the stuff worth having and avoiding wasting money on junk that won't last.
Love blackjack blades need one but I did get my first bark river yesterday when I traded My Esse 4 to a buddy for a highland special its a real little gem im really happy - cheers Tac
Too bad the SCHF52's are having problems with tips breaking... Ya takes your chances on Chinese heat treat, I guess... but my "Leroy" SCHF45 is still going strong. Took a file to the jimping and some grip tape filled out the scales. Thanks again! Great job!
Great vid. So I am going to put on the spot with two questions. Question one, You are going in the bush for 2 weeks, you can only take one knife with you, no ax no ting else. Which one would you choose?Question 2, the SFTH, you get on your rice burner and head into the a suburban area, Can only take one knife. Which knife will you take?
Great show! Unfortunately I have no access to any of the mentioned knives. They are not sold where I live. Can I get your advice on which of the following knives is the best? And why? The knives I can buy for a reasonable price are: - Gerber LMF II - Gerber Prodogy - Buck 650 Nighthawk - Buck 863 Selkirk Which one would you recommend? Thanks in advance.
+MaverickIQ Not a fan of gerber, their mystery steel combined with their... honestly low craftsmanship really gets you. Idk about buck though, for me knives from super low to high that are good are: Mtech (the highest quality of the low end knives imo), Schrade which is a great company that turns out good 30-50 buck knives, and finally Ontario and Ka-Bar. Spec plus series are 30-40 bucks USD (50+ Canadian) and they work amazing, and then for the rest of their stuff that goes from 80-100+ are stuff like the BK s, and the RD s.
God dam that selection is kinda ass. Is this from like a local tool/department store? Where do you live (generally, you don't have to gimme specifics). When I go to local large department/tool stores like walmart and Canadian tire, I do see only the crappy blades there, so I get mine ordered online or go to specialty stores or military surplus stores. I would STRONGLY recommend googling for a local military surplus store/camping/w.e store that isn't where you are currently looking, OR order online. But if thats reeeeaally all you got there and online isn't an option, then I think SoG (Tell me what models they have first though) or the Gerber LMF and Prodigy is your best bet. I've heard a lot off good things about those 2 Gerbers and very very few bad things, but the brand and steel still worries me. But let it be known that I am a Schrade and Ontario fan.
Nice vid bro, glad you just showed the blades instead of making a mini halfassed review out of each model. Are you not into small EDC sized fixed blades at all?
I meant pocketable size. I been carrying more EDC fixed blades lately like a Bark River Bravo EDC, TOPS Baja 3.0,Izula in the bare sheath, Bravo Necker etc...3" or so blades with slim handles n the like, basically a folder replacement. I know a lot of people aren't into this size, was just wondering
I think that at the end of the video you present swords instead of knives Nice video and channel. I like it Sorry, but I have recently watching your videos and I am not very familiar with your video library. If I may ask do you have an opinion or experience with Mora knives? In particular I'm interested in their woodcarving series, made of laminated steel. I know that they are low class, but the only reason for this claim is their very low cost or i miss some? Recently i use Mora Erik Frost 106 knife in the mountains and I love how easily carved wood Greetings from Bulgaria!
Q: What is the mfg name/model number, street name of the one that RATTLES? you beat the heck out of it all the time and it refuses to break? (Order History, Order E-mail if you can go back 4 years (LOL) according to the other vid would give clue to info.)
Id have to say im surprised you didn't show the ontario 18" machete , i have one and it kicks ass like the kangee and chogan, but ill say i have a hell'uva time deciding ont 18? or woods kangee? depends on the time of year
I would take it as a personal favor if you'd test a Mtech raptor bowie. I know, I know, Mtech, but I love the cheaper knife tests and reviews. Thank you my friend and keep up the good work.
I know its an old vid, so ya might nt see this comment, but..for those knives with the slippery handle, or maybe aggressive checkering..try some cheap old Wilson tape..ya know for tennis rackets? The shit is phenomenal for wrapping the handles of a knife..makes it so much better..no slip, no slide, and makes for a very comfortable grip. I love the stuff!
Say Heah Tac't, Once again Bro Thanx for sharing your Fav's. I really understand why you showed that Hard Use, Believe it or not, But mine so far don't rattle, But when Nissan did a destruction test on it, Alot of guys I know put nice handles on that nearly invisible blade, You like your Black Jack's, I like my Swamp it's, The Ratmandu started it all for me and prolly still is one of my Fav's, Infact I was elated when I was able to get it in the INFI Steel. Up to date I have three Ratmandu's, One in the SR101 and two in the INFI. One of my Fav. 2Knife carry is my Rodent 7 and my Rodent 4, My One Tool Option is my Ratweiler which I teamed up with my Rodent Solution, My Potbelly I also use as a One Tool Option but I teamed that one with the Top's Mini Scandi 2.5., It wouldn't be fair not to mention my Rodent 9 with the Ratmandu as my Ultimate 2Knife carry when we go North on trips, Then usually my Husqvarna All Purpose Forest Axe and the Bob's Buck Saw comes along, But that's for some serious trips in colder weather, Because my Rodent 7 and my Rodent 4 suffices around our States. I also have very similar knives in the INFI Steel and I never planned it that way but it just happened I also have three Khukuris, Two Traditional and a C. S. Kukuri Plus in O1 The smaller H. I. M-43 I had a Battle Horse Attitude Modified with white Handle to sort of match my White Handle Himalayan Imports M-43 that Bill before he passed (R. I. P) Yangdu's husband she owns Blade Forum surprised me and made my Smaller Khukuri in white, It's Simply TiT's, Beautiful, So I had my Attitude to match, Yeah, You can see the Battle Horse Attitude modified on Google Plus just search Paulie 4X, Yeah Bro themselves some good ones you have buddy. I also got almost all of the Beckers because of the steel it's the same as the older CarbonV they use to make. I also have a 4Knife set of O. K. C. Gene SP's because of the 5160 and I got the SP-53 to team up with my Ranger T. F. I. I really liked the steel on one particular trip where the Ranger RD-9 did a great job busting through some tough knarly logs in a storm that came very fast, It bent and I thought it was ruined, But it straightened up perfect, I have it teamed with the Ranger Afghan in the 5160 which is a pretty similar to my BK-2, But with a choil that I really like. But I had a very pleasant surprised recently when I found out that a serrated knife makes great curls when making feathersticks, I had two knives with Serrations, I'll try to keep this post short heh heh heh, But one of the knives is a Benchmade 156 CSK in D2, Last weekend I took both of them out and sure enough they preformed great making curls, I feel like I got a great Christmas gift in August. Well there's more, But Heah, Thanx for reading my post and I do like clowning around with you alot of times, But seriously I do enjoy watching your videos, Keep up the good work, Your a man of means, and it's nice to know you, Job well done, Thanx.
Hey Tac. Everyone is going to give me a bad time for this question, but what are your thoughts on the Buck 119? My friend is interested in buying one. I know that there are hundreds of better knives out there, but those Bucks have been around for decades so they must have some merit.
The Junglas's price got jacked way up recently... that ones in mint condition compared to mine... the Arizona trail beat that thing up far as looks go... any more ESEE reviews up in the future?
brother tac I loved ur blades! that Kershaw is amazing. I dnt have anything that big or anything to baton with. I got folders and some fixed but none that I could baton with.
I'd definitely watch the "Monster Chop Off" video if you make one. I have the SCHF 45 on my bug out bag right now. I've beat the shit out of it and it still asks for more. I smiled as soon as I seen it in your video. :) Enjoy your day man! Greetings from Australia!
Merry Christmas and Happy new year, so for the late congrats but I was away on an island and no time for the net lol, tested my kershaw camp 10 there being in a cabin and stuff and it rocks.
Can you do some testing on some of the Mtech knives, quite a few of them look pretty stout I believe the one you beat up the most ,9 dollar knife is a Mtech.
Hey man love your reviews especially the spyderco vids just a question do you or have you owned a Full size USMC(or Army or Navy) KA-BAR or do you have any particular opinion on it? if so I'd love to hear it! thanks
Hey Tac another great video Bro!!!!.Speaking on the schf45 i have it and its a monster for the price but the handle scales suck, do you know where i could get custom scales for it.Thanks in advance and keep up them videos!!!
you need a tops Bob and a dragon fly I swear my tops is my favorite woods blade so far even over double priced blades like bark river Bradford busse they really are that good
I still have my 9 dollar beater from ctd. I wanna start wailing on it but I just can't bring myself to do it. but, I vow to do it this year. I should have bought more but, I got in on the tail end of availability and by the time I wanted to buy more they were gone. a buddy of mine gave me his when the guard came loose (just like yours.) so I cut the damn thing off and used the knife as a froe for batoning. gave it to a friend after a few years so he could baton during his camp outs. I love my camp 10, gfb small forest axe or crkt chogan, melnor telescoping bypass loppers, silky bigboy 2000 and katanaboy 500 for woods adventures. with all these there ain't a fire I can't make or a shelter I can't build.I know it seems odd to bring loppers but, as a short chick I can tell you loppers are a godsend. it allows me to do things I couldn't do otherwise. plus, I am trying to practice sound discipline so I can be as stealthy as possible....not just for shtf but, I like to animal watch, track and hunt. being as quiet as possible doesn't scare the animals as much. just saying:)
***** you don't have to. I just wanted to hook you and ms tac up. you can make a vid of you and the ms enjoying the saws...lol do you need some yak traks or anything else? let me know.
haha yak traks :) I think I got somthin similar.. you do enuff just being a loyal sub, but thanks for the kick ass saws, me & the mrs. will have some fun with these :)
Hey!! Hope youall had a great new year 🤗 Tac I was wait'n on one of those TMB Rants for the new year 😹😝😹 Great vid as always 👍 And the year end over view Best knife hands down is the $9. Peace of 💩haha ain't that always the way 😹😹😹 Peace ✌️
Hey tactical I live in the rockey mts snd I'm a hunter and I hunt deer elk and birds what is there in the area that you live thanks for the great vids best knife tester on TH-cam can recommend a knife the Uncle Henry Golden Spike keep up the great vids
good vid, I like most of them, but there is some $$$, there. stay strong brother, hope you had a great new year, and some good beer to bring it in with....
please do a comparison chopping Test with these blades. make a great series. Call them your A-Team Blades test ;). or the A-Team Qualification Series...
Hey Tac, if you ever get a chance could you do a review on a blade called "U.S. Gladius Thaex VII". I would love to know if this blade is legit or just poo. Also, what ever happened with "Man Woman Wild"?
been a while so had to do a backlog on your channel. Thanks for this video, just what I was in the mood for :) Kershaw camp 10 looks interesting btw. monster chop off video are herby requested hehe
Surprised you Blaclk Jack Halo Attack did not make the list , that blade is ripped, buffed and diesel ! Kinda thought the eating hatchet with the stacked leather handle would have made the list.
Say Heah Tac'ie, Yeah, I have an older S. R. K. mine is in the CabonV I also have one in the SM III, I also have a SM Iii Master Hunter, But the 3V is a diamond in the rough, My vintage TrailMaster is awesome, the ricaso is different than the new ones, But never the lease, a beast. My Rodent 9 watch Mer's video. But my Anneversary Straight Handle Battle Mistress L. E. and my Nuclear Meltdown Fusion Steel Heart (5/16") and my Ergo Battle Mistress, watch the Battle Mistress destruction video's, But for the money, my O. K. C. Gen2 SP-53 is defenetly a sharp Hammer. and my Rucki is one of my Fav. Chopper long knives. my Ratnandu both in INFI and SR101, Rodent 5,6 which I had modified now look's like a Ratmandu on steriods is one of my Fav. 6"+ blades along with the super strong A-1 that I teamed up with my H-1, and my new line of Fox knives show alot of pronide. I like that N690Co. for my wet and snowy weather knives and all weather too. Yeah, we should start a K. A. Knives Anonymous , heh heh heh, LaterZ.,,.
Doesn't that piss you off when a quality brand name blade snaps in two after average use, but then a $12 BudK knife is virtually indestructible and becomes your most reliable blade?
I'm not really a CRKT fan but i bought the woods chogan and the chance in hell and have been beating the shit out of them for a while now. I like the handle on the chance in hell a little more than the camp 10 but yes the blade thickness is a bit on the thin side.
***** too bad,i feel like if it were made of better material then the blade would have kicked ass ,it worked as an smazing throwing knife but lossened the handle a bit
+Tactical That's cool to revisit stuff you've reviewed in the past I know shit I thought was awesome 4 years ago dosent do the same for me nowadays thanks for the vid
I just have to say you have a great collection and kudos to you for working hard to enjoy your hobby...Good vids...
+Scott F. thank you sir
Makes me happy to see you pick products I have purchased or wish to have. I bought a Kershaw Camp 10 and two Voodoo Hawks from a local store and paid only $25 for each. I have been extremely lucky to find good deals otherwise I would not have some of the knives that I own now.

Sorry, I don’t know the knife...The Large knife that rattles. What is it please?
Dude, I don't know how many times I gotta say it...I love your videos, man. You'da man, bro.
Always wanted a junglas bro, looks so well made. Good video
I laughed out loud when you rattled the beater knife off camera!
The kersha camp 14 looks like something I'd use for the zombie apocalypse. Great video tac
Love blackjack blades need one but I did get my first bark river yesterday when I traded My Esse 4 to a buddy for a highland special its a real little gem im really happy - cheers Tac
Awesome blades, Tac! Made me remember the Condor Dundee (that vid is great!)
Too bad the SCHF52's are having problems with tips breaking... Ya takes your chances on Chinese heat treat, I guess... but my "Leroy" SCHF45 is still going strong. Took a file to the jimping and some grip tape filled out the scales. Thanks again! Great job!

That Monster Chop off vid would be awesome! Great job Tac!
I love your videos man, and your really entertaining!!!👍
I have that same black 9 dollar knife that rattles. It’s tough as hell. I use it as a thrower too.
Great show!
Unfortunately I have no access to any of the mentioned knives. They are not sold where I live.
Can I get your advice on which of the following knives is the best? And why?
The knives I can buy for a reasonable price are:
- Gerber LMF II
- Gerber Prodogy
- Buck 650 Nighthawk
- Buck 863 Selkirk
Which one would you recommend?
Thanks in advance.
+MaverickIQ Not a fan of gerber, their mystery steel combined with their... honestly low craftsmanship really gets you.

+AquaAriaSachou Thanks for your recommendations.
I have heard from those brands but, unfortunately they are not sold where I live.
Which brands are sold? Aside from Gerber and Buck I mean
+AquaAriaSachou The only other brands that I have seen is SOG and Beretta. Very limited and not all models are available.

But let it be known that I am a Schrade and Ontario fan.
I like my Russell Green River 5" hunting knife. Walnut scales, carbon steel full tang and made in USA!!!
haha, i have that big Budk knife, and you're absolutely right, that thing just wont break.
Nice vid bro, glad you just showed the blades instead of making a mini halfassed review out of each model. Are you not into small EDC sized fixed blades at all?
+RealBushMonkey I thought the tac ops 4 was small :)
I think that at the end of the video you present swords instead of knives
Nice video and channel. I like it
Sorry, but I have recently watching your videos and I am not very familiar with your video library.
If I may ask
do you have an opinion or experience with Mora knives? In particular I'm interested in their woodcarving series, made of laminated steel. I know that they are low class, but the only reason for this claim is their very low cost or i miss some?
Recently i use Mora Erik Frost 106 knife in the mountains and I love how easily carved wood
Greetings from Bulgaria!
nice blades.
Did you ever get the faucet working ?
+Jeff Gibson oh shit ya I did lol thanks man
Q: What is the mfg name/model number, street name of the one that RATTLES? you beat the heck out of it all the time and it refuses to break?
(Order History, Order E-mail if you can go back 4 years (LOL) according to the other vid would give clue to info.)
Id have to say im surprised you didn't show the ontario 18" machete , i have one and it kicks ass like the kangee and chogan, but ill say i have a hell'uva time deciding ont 18? or woods kangee? depends on the time of year
I would take it as a personal favor if you'd test a Mtech raptor bowie. I know, I know, Mtech, but I love the cheaper knife tests and reviews. Thank you my friend and keep up the good work.
That Kershaw Camp 10 is calling. AwwwwwwYeah!!
Nice to see some one like big ass tactical beasts!
Hey I'm a big fan of ka bars and where did you get your ka bar knife
Great video and tools,
I know its an old vid, so ya might nt see this comment, but..for those knives with the slippery handle, or maybe aggressive checkering..try some cheap old Wilson tape..ya know for tennis rackets? The shit is phenomenal for wrapping the handles of a knife..makes it so much better..no slip, no slide, and makes for a very comfortable grip. I love the stuff!
Great collection man!
Hey Tac. Have you ever tested a Buck Hoodlum?

I like the handle on the chance in hell a little more than the camp 10 but yes the blade thickness is a bit on the thin side.
laughed when I heard the rattle of the 9$ knife
+kevin lin :)

***** i respect your opinion tac, just one of my favorites along side the koga black ninjato
I bent the tip stabbing wood & chipped the blade choppin white pine :(
***** too bad,i feel like if it were made of better material then the blade would have kicked ass ,it worked as an smazing throwing knife but lossened the handle a bit
