- In this video we show you what the active exhaust sounds like on the new Camaro SS with the 6.2 liter LT1. We rev the car in each mode and we show what it sounds like during casual driving and full throttle driving. This car has the 10 speed automatic transmission. This car is completely stock. Hey bro, im 15 turning 16! Im really into cars and nobody believes I should be getting a 2020 Chevrolet Camero SS 2SS😂 I do know how to drive for my age tbh and I wonder what people will think! Me and my dad are car enthusiast and he owns a Camero ZL1 so I was wondering! Is the SS a good buy? That 6.2 sounds amazing😍
@@defaulti2964 Actually, if he has a ZL1 and not the ZL1 1LE the 2SS is the same car with more equipment. Im 17 and drive with a 2018 2SS EU Edition and this thing is great. We also own a Corvette C6 and the only difference is, that the camaro is more usable for daily driving. But it has super handling and responsiveness. I would get a 2018 model tho if im you. I think after 2018 they dont always have the Active-exhaust and the rearlights dont look that great anymore. But thats up to you and what you like more :D

Get the base exhaust and replace with a Borla axle back. It sounds better than the NPP for sure and no annoying NPP rattle (that comes eventually). I've never changed exhaust modes. Never a need.
May look into that, thanks for the info! We've already done something with the exhaust, I've got a video I'll be uploading soon on that.
I ended up racing one of these yesterday, sounded badass. The driver wasn't the best though, as I nearly beat him in my GMC Savana

They have 4 cylinder Camaros too. This one is a V8.
I like how in each example he drives two miles down the road.
Be sure to have your volume up, driving far away is showing everyone what the car sounds like at a distance. The sound is there too because I cut out any parts of the video where the car can't be heard.

2021 1SS Owner here, with the NPP quad exhaust. I stay in track. Do a video with all the backfires....shift to 3rd from 60-65 and to 2nd from 55 or 50.. right next to the exhaust :)

I personally like the new lime-green looking color on these cars, I can't remember the exact name for the color but it looks great! I've only seen one that was that color in person.

Nah it sounds better. The Stang stock exhaust sounds like a river. Corsa makes active exhaust that's a plug and play upgrade to Ford's. Sounds way better.

In a few years I'll be done with grad school. I don't know which one to get: Camaro SS, Lexus LCF, new Corvette, or 718 Cayman...
Well your choice directly depends on how much money you want to spend on the vehicle and how much money you want to spend on insurance. Also it depends on if you want back seats or not. If you don't want back seats I'd go with the Corvette all day, if you want back seats I'd go with the Camaro.

Well, this car is the Camaro 2SS, and it costs 46k dollars. A ZL1 Camaro has a few more options, 200 more horsepower, a more aggressive look, better brakes, and with just a few small mods a ZL1 can make 800+ horsepower. Being only 20k more dollars over a 2SS Camaro I'd say a ZL1 is a really good deal.

They have that rev limiter on the 2019 and it doesn’t sound as good as 2018. If they had a way to disable I’d buy one
Eh, you can tune the rev limiter off the car, if you start modding it and stuff, it's not that bad, certainly shouldn't make you not want one of these cars, they're really awesome!

Good exhaust. Sports car exhaust are usually designed and tuned to project the sound better because that’s what most people want with them.
The big 3 all sound great stock.

Honestly the valves closed or open sound identical somehow lol, i almost don't believe there's any valve. I made my own active exhaust for my NA 150hp 2012 subaru impreza, valve closed everything goes through a straight through vibrant resonator and medium magnaflow muffler, sounds almost stock but with a hint of boxer rumble, valve open, everything is bypassed right under the center of the backseats, loud as hell to anyone nearby but not ear-shattering, sounds Hella good for what the car is, but the valve COMPLETELY changes the tone (probably due to the resonator), but im wondering if the valve on this camaro only bypasses the muffler, hence only reducing volume partially, not tone?
The valves on these cars only bypass the muffler, so there's still 4 cats that muffle it down and a resonator that muffles it down no matter what exhaust mode you put the car in.
In person the car gets quite a bit louder though, very noticeable in person.
I just had to lemon law my 2016 due to a rattling/ squeak the dealers couldn’t repair. Don’t know if I should purchase another..

2016 and newer V8 Camaro's should all pop and have active-exhaust as an option.

Depends on what you want really, the Scat Pack will have more interior space, but it's a slower car and gets worse MPG. The Camaro SS is faster than the Scat Pack and gets over 32mpg.

It's the factory active exhaust on a 2019 Camaro SS. Some of them have active exhaust and some don't. If it has 4 exhaust tips like this car then it has active exhaust, if it only has 2 tips (one on each side) then it doesn't have the active exhaust option.

Yes.
What is stealth mode ? Tour mode ?
You can go into the settings on the car, and go to the vehicle tab, and there you can find the exhaust, steering, and suspension settings. The exhaust tab is there on all Camaro SS cars, even the ones without the active exhaust. If you don't have the active exhaust, changing the exhaust setting won't do anything. To find out if you have active exhaust, look at your exhaust pipes, if you have 4 tips (2 on each side of the car), you have active exhaust, if you only have 2 tips total, you don't.

With the active exhaust it's a lot louder when you put it in sport mode, in touring mode it's still really quiet which is good, cause you can be loud when you want to and quiet when you want to.

Yes, without active exhaust the sound of the Camaros is kind of in between the sport mode sound and the touring mode sound.
