I had a similar experience, back in 2012 I was playing some Ron Massey cup rugby league which is one level below reserve grade, I had the misfortune of marking up against a young fella named Taqele Naiyaravoro
This shows that you CAN tackle anyone, given enough heart! Can't imagine how much respect the guys who managed tackles on Ardie and CJ Stander would have received!
Josh Kronfeld was a substitue teacher at my highschool when he was an All Black and played in the 7th form vs teachers match. Students weren't allowed 1st XV players but the teachers were allowed current All Blacks...
Damn you couldnt have those games anymore thats for sure, too much PC trash. I went to southland boys, plenty of lunch time games with teachers, or the Brown V whites games at lunch were always good games, polynesians V europeans, Lasted a few years until it was banned lol, atleast ya knew who was on ya side.
Jerry Collins playing for Barnstaple 2nds in 2007, just after getting knocked out of the RWC in France. Even wore Barum sock when playing for the BaBa’s a few weeks later
The step up from National leagues to the professional ranks is massive. Most amateur players have watched an international game and thought to themselves that they'd be able to last 20mins or so. Not a chance 😂
Kind of unsurprising to see that this video is made up of mostly Welsh and Kiwi players. Know neither nation is having its purple patch at the minute but make no mistake, these are proper rugby countries! Great to see their love for the game, no matter the level.
Yeh mate some of the top countries in the world have an amazing pro comp but they have nothing at grassroots level, Everyone talks about rugby is dying in NZ but when you actually go to watch grassroots level there are so many kids playing its ridiculous. Maybe in the big cities maybe only one city Auckland its dying😂 but when you go to small town NZ which is the majority of NZ fields are packed out on a saturday with rugby then there packed on sunday with the same kids playing league
@@rodesianRogers yeah when people see the half full stadiums in super rugby and npc games and declare that rugby is dying here what they forget is how deeply ingrained rugby is in NZ culture at grassroots level. There's a lot of small towns where the rugby club is the heart of the community
The Oxford 12 who tried to tackle Roberts with his head was the Oxford captain, it was his first action of the game, and he went straight off with a head injury.
I remember being 18yo fresh out of high school in 2015. I remember one game the opposite team had Namani Nandolo 😂😂😂 I was a speed bump, I was 115kg at the time playing prop. Humbling. But that guy is an actual giant. He’s bigger in real life. 😂😂
Great idea! If you do a part 2, there’s loads of instances of players in Scotland playing in the Super Series as there’s a recovery and spare player protocol. There’s clips of Niko matuwalu playing for a local side and tearing it up with a coast to coast try 😂 There’s also that clip of Antoine Dupont playing for a local side too from a couple years ago.
Naholos brother Kini is a weapon, there was a season maybe 2018/2019 that Hastings boys were flogging nearly everyone, he was a massive part of it, he plays provincial taranaki and maybe hes on the NZA squad 2024.
This footage looks like it's from the Hong Kong Tens... You do get some miss matches in one or two early rounds but in the cup tournament, they are all pros and include all the backup players for the HK 7's...
"A.1 We agree - jumping to hurdle a potential tackler is dangerous play, as is the act of a ball carrier jumping into a tackle. Even if no contact is made, we believe this act is in clear contravention of law 9.11, and runs contrary to the game-wide focus on player welfare. In this specific case the sanction should be a PK against the ball carrier." www.world.rugby/the-game/laws/clarification/2022/3/
Great idea for a video - footage can't have been too easy to come by either!
Imagine turning up for some Saturday footy and finding out you have to play across from Jonah Lomu 😂
I had a similar experience, back in 2012 I was playing some Ron Massey cup rugby league which is one level below reserve grade, I had the misfortune of marking up against a young fella named Taqele Naiyaravoro
I thought the same thing. I'd probably pull a hammy in the warm-up to avoid getting Mike Catt'd
But he’s dead so can’t be that bad

It made me so happy to see the clips of Jonah!
I played against mike Tindal (former England and Gloucester centre) he split me in half with a tackle I can still feel it now ten years later

Such a brilliant video Andrew Forde. I can imagine this was hard to make

That Sean O'Brien footage blew me away 😂
In all seriousness, great video
Unfortunately the only incident I found of his from that game!
The Oxford 12 who tried to tackle Roberts with his head was the Oxford captain, it was his first action of the game, and he went straight off with a head injury.
Tough gig marking that guy. They all (the 1's with test caps) look like they've got so much time on their hands.
Gavin Henson turned out for Pencoed the other week!
@@offwithhishead2556 that was the inspiration for the video!
Crazy how Nadolo subbed for all 3 dudes at one time. :D
The match was very exciting and dramatic. Thank you for bringing fans to the audience
Sam Cane with an illegal clean out at 5:30
He doesn’t clean him out he loses footing and abandons it
@@kurupt7154 abandons it and falls directly on the knee. Same as what Frizzel did in the RWC final
7:28 So are they allowed to tackle Dan Carter now? 😏
Tell Andrew hore...
This is just a crazy difference

I saw Nadolo once in person. I thought he looked normal enough in size. Then he kept walking towards me and kept growing and growing.
People on the back of a lorry watching Carter 🤣
I have a teammate who was a Centre in the Scotland U23. He's now a prop/no. 8, and at our level he's a freaking steam train.
Dude! You missed Jerry Collins playing for Barnstaple!!!

Former Irish international Sean O Brian plays for Tullow RFC there's TH-cam videos of their games maybe you can use some of the footage !
When the huge Fijian bloke subbed in the fans screaming "give it to him" wanted to see someone get murked lol
Shame you haven’t got the clip of me absolutely smashing Ex England fly half Paul Challenor 🤣

What club is McKensie playing for?
can you expplain to me how does this system works? who play for what club and why?

You should do a video on renzo du Plessis
Beauden Barrett had a stormer
Good players vs great player
Te Rapa vs Fraser Tech
Theres some mean footage of tavavnawai wrecking peope for his club in nelson bumped a dude off into space
within 15 sec
Ive always hated the way Quade Cooper plays
Think even this level is too much for Sam Cane haha
is jumping when being tackled permitted? th-cam.com/video/Yh_YLqac7SM/w-d-xo.html
