This is just the video I needed, thanks Ben, I recently got nunchuk multisig but because my laptop iOS version is pretty old I can’t install nunchuk desktop. I was panicking because I had already sent some funds to my wallet and didn’t know how to send/spend them so watching this has helped my anxiety and stress levels massively 😂 thankyou
Nice to hear your intro. Us Seniors need hand holding as tech speeds up. I remember when Windows 3.1 ... DOS and learning hard disk management was leading edge. We didn't need to be connected to the 'Infernet' to get viruses or updates or be spied on.
Hey Ben. Is it important to verify receiving addresses on the CC itself, or are we okay trusting the address shown on the Nunchuk wallet? I’ve always been under the impression it is critical to view the address on the hardware wallet itself.
Coldcard does indeed have an address section where you can cross-verify! I wanted to keep this video as basic as possible, but I show that in my longer in-depth coldcard video. As with most things, taking the extra time will be more secure. If you don't do it, there's a degree of risk. Nunchuk itself is also open source, so there's at least eyeballs on the code.
Exciting times in the crypto world! The latest analysis reveals a bullish trend for Bitcoin in the coming week, especially intriguing following its recent weekly closing patterns. Very interesting but very complex. I think Coldcard with Sparrow for the main storage and then just have a mobile phone hot wallet or even a Tangem for small amounts.
I tested my iPhone X with two different connecting cables to see if they power up the ColdCard and... they didn't. :( Seems like the iPhone will not provide power to accessories. Maybe I need a newer iPhone...
I prefer bluetooth with Jade or Ledger to all this extra work. That said, I usually don't use cold wallets on mobile. Just transfer some spending cash from cold to hot and protect with a pin or biometrics and it's much smoother for day to day spending. If you really want a cold wallet on mobile, I would think tangem or tapsigner are better options with less friction. Easier to be an every day carry too.
With Nunchuk you can operate the mobile app without giving up any personal information. This includes connecting to your own node so you're not even using theirs. If you have a login for their multisig service (something totally optional that I covered in another video), it can be a dummy email address, and that service requires no KYC.
Hey will you please make a video on an android to coldcard anonymous btc purchase and coinjoin using Tor, gift cards to purchase the btc, dongle/ microSD for TRUE anonymous air gap storing?
What is the purpose of virtual disk mode. I wish you would explain the why and not just the how. I notice in all your videos you explain all the steps of how to use a feature but never bother to explain the actual purpose of it.
it sounds like it's a convenience so that you don't have to deal with microsd cards. it saves the psbt file to the vhd on the coldcard instead, but it's technically not airgapped since you have to plug in the usb.

I think trading with an expert is preferreable for those with little knowledge about crypto trading mostly now with the current condition of the market
One of the best channels for crypto tutorials, great work
My 67 years old mum will definitely get that no drama...

This is good. Watch tomorrow. Best tutorialist.
Ben: thank you !
Question : did you talk about the BullBitcoin wallet yet ? Can we use the NFC mode from the coldcard ?
Someone hacked the 9v battery and stole all of my BTC.

You would be correct

Can you use sparrow wallet on the mobile phone?
Great video Ben. Glad we are
Getting more options other than SD card swap and NFC… fingers crossed that the iPhone will work with this method
I tested my iPhone X with two different connecting cables to see if they power up the ColdCard and... they didn't. :( Seems like the iPhone will not provide power to accessories.
Maybe I need a newer iPhone...
Same issue with me. Dang
Thanks!

What are the privacy concerns having an account with Nunchuck and importing you wallet into the app?

Using NFC seems better than connecting the wallet to the phone with a wire
11:43 would have been hilarious: Rug …Pull 😂
Coldcard has a Ledger mode.
What does this mean
@@Btree33 Because plugging your COLDcard into an internet connected phone defeats the purpose of owning an air gapped signing device.

Does this work with a MK3?
MK3 doesn't have virtual disk mode, so unfortunately no.
