thanks for taking the time to post i feel lucky just to turn a key these days but at one time of life someone bought that machine and it was the top of farming technology ,,, really makes you think about how lucky we have it these days ,, bet they thought the same when that was new ,, awesome stuff
Thank you very very much, fella, by sharing this pleasantfully sweet machine of you with all of us! And a video making of the best level available in TH-cam.... Thanks!
Very nice video. I have been watching video's on old tractors and always wondered what they were doing to get it started. Thanks for explaining as you went around it. Great job.
@Mitchell Cowan no ihc did make a 10 20 mogul and a 8 16 you can tell the two apart by the clutch style this one is a 10 20 mogul cause of its band type clutch similar to the 10 20 titan.
Things I have learned from this video... junk is the rule, not the law. Steel wheel tractors are an open invitation to play a fun game of chicken with your neighbors. They must be able to afford to get a new tractor every single year considering the fact that not a single person in the entire country can drive one !
How else is he suppose to turn the engine over? This is from a different time, and that was just the way you did it. Comes with collecting those things.
I would love to have an old tractor like that. My international was made in 65 but it's still got everything a new tractor would have for the most part. Not nearly as cool as this one.
When I was on dads farm, he had a Allis Chalmers WD-45, then we got a International H and then later a Super M, on my farm I got a 730 John Deer diesel. I really liked the old put puts.
This is amazing machine and I like the sound it makes I have some Stationary Engines of my own and are amazing and I have some videos on TH-cam if you want to See them running all you need to do is type up SPANNERS ENGINES ON TH-cam and you will get to see them running 🔧🛠🗜😺🌟
Garrett Latsha No, it really wouldn't. It has a low ass compression ratio and an enormous flywheel. the flywheel would take the brunt of the force as its so heavy. Not to mention it has a de-compression option meaning the already low ratio is even lower. And tell me I know nothing, my grandfather has a DIESEL with a hand crank and a decompression ratio that keeps the intake open for a full compression stroke to get some momentum for the next. Now that, is liable to break some bones.
I had a chance to buy a John Deer A, but I was always afraid of the old crankers, just to dangerous for me. Dad would crank up the old Allis Chalmers, I forget what model , but not me.
nightlightabcd If you hold the handle properly and use the correct posture you're fine. I've been cranking things for a few years now and stuff has gone wrong, but I've never been injured.
@bigfatface777 This tractor is I think a 1915, To find the answers to all your other questions, Go online & do an Ask or Google search on "International Harvester Mogul Tractors" & see what comes up.
dont hang on the fly wheel like that ever ! if it would kick back it would throw you so far it wouldnt even be funny and youd probably have a few broken bones! just saying....

that's nice, even for an IH--lol boy, does that run perfect or what after adjusted? thanks for sharing.
Sweet
Is that knockng noise at idle, normal for that tractor? Or is it needing some mechanical work?
I would have like to know what you were turning twisting and doing step to get it to start. Love old tractors
Be sure to have your tie tucked in when starting your tractor lol

Almost think it starts easier than modern tractors.
Super fuel efficient.....
😁👍
I want one too
:):)

What year is this model? Do you have any idea what a tractor like this is worth in this shape or how many remain in existence?
That is pretty fiddely...
great

From the overalls and the buildings, I'm assuming this is in the UK...
If it is a mogul tractor it would be a 8-16 mogul, bit if it is a 10-20 it would be a Titan.
The age wormwheels got important at 0:26

I didnt add, it's a 1.3 liter single cylinder engine with a god dam high compression ratio for pumping water, runs at like 300 rpm at most.
I had a chance to buy a John Deer A, but I was always afraid of the old crankers, just to dangerous for me. Dad would crank up the old Allis Chalmers, I forget what model , but not me.
nightlightabcd Won't do you any harm if you're not silly with them.
*****- What?

Seems to be pretty dangerous...
But still cool
