Thanks for posting this. Been a Waterson fan for ever and it's great to be able to revisit the lovely BBC programme. Saw Marry Waterson recently and bought the lovely book of her Mum's art, with a CD of some demos of Lal's songs which finally emerged in Bright Phoebus. Wonderful record. That Bob Davenport contribution still brings out goose pimples. I've got the album but it's a travesty that it's not available in digital format - so thanks again!
Sounded like a classic the first time I heard it. I was a bit surprised by the poor sales and bad reviews. I also think the stripped-down sounding demos recently added make it even stronger.
It's absolutely shameful that whoever owns Celtic Music owns this and is doing nothing with it, or any of the other stuff they own. I missed out on the Domino release unfortunately.

Listening to this programme again enjoying it just as much as the first time.watersons are my all time favourite singers.
