- Wow.. What a sight as Blue Peter roars out of Severn Valley back onto the Mainlines for the first time in over 20 years! What a fantastic scene as the A2 loco makes it's move back to Crewe after a successful testing and running period on the Severn Valley over the last couple of months.
See LSL loco 37667 arrive from Crewe to form insurance for the return trip back to Crewe. The formation is created with 'Blue Peter' then to grab it's moment of glory blasting through Kidderminster station northbound.
Hopoe you enjoy the video! Thanks for watching.

Wonderful..I swear I could smell the steam as it passed by..💯👍👍
The whirlwind, and the baby blue...will soon meet each other again.
You've captured great footage of some gorgeous vintage precious metal, especially of Blue Peter. It looks like the only thing left to do is stencil the BR Early Logos on it's tender, before she heads off onto the excursion circuit to recoup the refurb costs.
just amazing seeing her out on the Mainline after 20+years thank you
Superb video. Great to see Blue Peter back on the mainline.
Looking forward to coming to England in September to see family and trains
Just beautiful. Thank you!
Yes 2001 which is 23 years ago was the last time 60532 had ever been seen on the mainline
Oh, how I love that three cylinder chatter!
Brilliant vid again, who would ever think Blue Peter would run again on the main line and looking so cool.
Great to see it back in full motion 👌
Massive amazing video of Blue Peter returning to the main line 👍👍
Amazing, cant wait to see him on a railtour at full pace!
Great to see
That's Absolutely Fantastic - I really can't wait to see 60532 on some Railtours.
Stunning ❤
🎉 nice little video for a birthday treat.
Enjoy - Happy Birthday 🎂👍
@@trainsplanes thank you bud
Excellent video 👍
Great Video
Looks like Gordon in real life!
Soon there will be 2 Peppercorn Pacifics on the mainline together
Exactly because tornado the new build A1 loco is coming back after the work is done with her and blue Peter the sole A2 will be on railtours once again for the first time in 23 years
What a loco!
Great vid, seeing this Thursday in Chester
Do you know the running code for this test run?
Another lovely video well done great camera work as usual I am really looking forward to seeing your next video I hope you get a nice video next time also when is your next video going to be on TH-cam bye for now Philip
Thanks Philip 🙏👍
I can't remember what the item was for the Blue Peter Appeal, which was set up to help fund the preservation. The only item that comes to mind is milk bottle tops but that might of been for the Guild Dog For The Blind Appeal
Supa livery on the class 37 and Blue Peter looks great, even better if they applied a tender emblem...
You mean the Blue Peter Badge?
@@nedseagoon5101 no the BR tender lion and wheel.
@@JR-SCOOTOh ... I'd assumed you meant the double arrows (I'll just get my coat)
@@howardrisby9621 No problem Howard, just my personal preference. BP is a superb loco and it's great to see her back in action.
@@JR-SCOOTIsn't it just?! As a sprog, I followed this loco's story on "The TV Programme of the Same Name".
Oddly, I always thought Henry Greenly's RH&D stud resemble Peppercorn's locos more than HNG's, on which they're always said to be based ... but with the 15" gauge pacifics being from two decades earlier, perhaps that ought to be Peppercorn's locos follow Greenly's design cues!
The A1 is a superb design and I'm glad there's one to be seen, but have to confess I always find the proportions of the A2/3 more to my taste. Odd? That's me!!
Hello mate , it's daz who you met a crewe ( the one with the spongebob hat ) , great capture ,
Will you know when I'll be able to see it at Crewe??
Good to meet you that day
Hi Daz, Hope all is good. A loaded test run is looking likely this Thursday. No guarantees however you’d stand a good chance then 👍
@@trainsplanes thanks mate 👍
Why does ever Steam Locomotive need a seporrt Coach or Brake Coach behind the tender ??
Any supporting equipment and crew travel in the support coach 👍
This time round, don't overfill the boiler, lads.
Nice do u know where it’s goign
Headed back home to Crewe 👍
@@trainsplanesthen in a couple months it’s doing a rail tour
Is she the same class as Tornado?
Nope. 60532 is a 'Peppercorn A2'. (Arthur Peppercorn was the LNER's last Chief Mechanical Engineer). In LNER speak, an A2/3 (A2/1 and A2/2 were by Peppercorn's immediate predecessor Thompson). All featured 6'-2" driving wheels, making them suited to 'mixed traffic' duties and hilly routes.
Tornado is a 'Peppercorn A1', with 6'-8" driving wheels, a fullblown express passenger loco.
I suspect you've picked up on Peppercorn's 'house style'.
If you want more/better info, Google 'LNER encyclopedia', which is a treasure trove on the locos built by the LNER and it's antecedents (those which worked after 1923), plus biographies of their designers and some other key personnel.
A diesel in a polytunnel😃
Plant those seeds and Choppers will grow 😜
Not a steam fan but shes chucking up some rubbish, the SVR definetly didnt let her go full on proper!
