For my part, this is THE one mission in ALL of the original Generals which I never did complete -- although I did get within sight of the GLA base on one of my playthroughs, but the Scuds and the counterattacks were just too much for what was left of my tank force!
Just nailed this mission by using lots of hackers for funds captured the first supply depot of the gla then i used their workers to build a barracks and just pumped out 27 mobs and upgraded them with ak's they obliterated everything so technically i won with gla vs gla 😂😂
Worst of all, if you accidentally exceed your funds above 5k, the scud storm can hit your defenses which means youll get overrun easily by the whole GLA army on you
Capture the warfactory and supply stash, and make sure u build a scudstorm before their timer hits 0:00, then you can destroy it with the scudstorm and mortar
Change the Gamedata.ini file which has a setting called "maxcameraheight" which allows you to change the camera height. The Gamedata.ini file is located in installdirectory\EA Games\Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour\Data\INI Editing the "Gamedata.ini" file, set maxcameraheight to something below 1000, 600, or 700 is good usually. Make also sure to set the resolution in this file to the resolution of your screen. Widescreen resolutions like 1600x900 or 1920x1080 are possible. If you haven't done this yet: set this resolution also in the "options.ini" file which is located at username\Documents\Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour Data Make sure to do not to change the options in-game because it will screw up these changes! You can finish this one with the original 2 overlords, a gattling and 2 infernos just by going through the left.
I find that AI doesn't build production buildings back. Either hitting them or building nukes at once is the best solution for me.
I managed it just with the 2 overlords.

How did you get such zoomed out camera in Generals? Everyone is hyped about zero hour, but the same fix doesnt work for the original.

The most annoying thing is those towers that the MiGs target instead of going at GLA forces. I don't know how that level hot past their QA.
EAs biggest mistake is to give China generals all tanks and aircraft while American generals get no tanks and no sequel to generals.

Yes and it was just as bad as Tiberian twilight due to no tanks for American generals especially crusaders and Paladin tanks.
