I have watched other videos of corn snake care and they were very informative, and yours is my favorite because it's straight to the point and easier to follow. I've written everything you've mentioned in this video as I will hopefully be getting my first corn snake very soon. Thank you!
Love how informative this is! Thank you. We were told yesterday that we have been chosen for the adoption of an adorable 10y/o cornsnake. We pick her up tomorrow! So I'm doing as much research as possible. I have a ball python, and always wanted to add a cornsnake to our family too♥️ The og owners are giving us her full set up and enclosure free along with her being free, which is great since there is less chance of her becoming stressed from a set up change.
- since she'll be familiar with her same set up. So I'm thinking that should keep her comfortable. Doing reservations since I want to make sure I give her exactly what she needs, substrate, hot and cool sides, humidity, hides, proper regulations and tons of room.
i really want a corn snake… it’s my dream pet. i just don’t want to feed them those kinds of foods😭 and also i’m scared of losing it and not being able to find it!!! but i still really want one. since i’m scared of like every other animal i just really want one 😊❤
Planning to get a corn snake next moth last time I had a snake it was a garden snake and I was 13 I’m 35 and really want a corn snake and really need to know what to do and how to do it.thanks for the advice and tips miss.😁✌️
Pretty sure Hendrix is Anerythristic (Anery). Have you had him since a baby? Curious when the yellow starts to show and where? I have an Anery corn snake as well, and she's only 10 months...but just now starting to see the yellow come through on her cheeks. Was wondering if that yellow will spread??
Yes absolutely! Corn snakes are escape artists and baby’s can fit through very small holes and cracks. I would advise maybe starting with a smaller more secure enclosure until it’s bigger.
I have wanted a pet snake since I can remember, and am finally getting one. Can you recommend the best place to get a young corn snake? And a place to get the food? It seems like something I couldn't just buy at a pet shop, but I could be wrong. (I've never had a pet before. Doing lots of research before I get my snekkie)
Pet shops like petco etc and reptile shops pretty much always have corn snakes and feeders. However, I recommend checking out rescues first! There are usually many corn snakes in need of a good home. Otherwise, you can find a reputable breeder on morph market. Feeders can also be purchased online if that's easier too!
I have been getting into snake morphs corn snake morphs, because I wanna be getting a corn snake soon and he looks like a Anerythristic morph or maybe a Charcoal / Charcoal Banded
This is an informative video for sure, BUT, do a lot of research to get other points of view, opinions, practices and experience. Again, great video, but I have definitely done some things differently over the last 20 years of owning snakes.
No, a 50 gallon is not big enough for an adult corn to thrive. Adults need a 4x2x2’ (120 gallon) enclosure or larger. The enclosure should be at least as long as the snake.
Longer. Corns like climbing opportunities, but they spend most of their time on the ground. They can get really long and need enough length to stretch out. My 7 yo corn snake is a bit over 4 feet long and his enclosure is 4'x2'x2'.
Aww! I wanna get a corn snake! But since my recent hamster died bc I accidentally (it was an accident) dropped it and my dog tried to eat it, I think I might be idle until I'm 13. Then I can get a corn snake...
I keep hearing from ppl who hate snakes that they will “seize me up” to eat me?? Is that something i should be concerned about and do they have a point???
I think Hendrix is an axanthic (my baby corn snake Moonglum has the same color palete, although he's so tiny he makes a zip tie look chubby). Great vid!
Hey, I’ve got a question about my corn snake, people who see this and know the answer, please reply. I have an albino corn sake she is about a year and 6 months old, she will make these noises that are like small bits of compressed air being let out and I have no clue what it is and I have been wondering what I should do. Please help me someone.❤❤😊😊
I’ve had my corn snake for 11 years now still have it. She’s my first snake so it’s gonna be here for its whole life
Thank you so much for listening to my request!!

Me to!
Maybe you can let another member of your family feed it for you? But that isn't a very good thing,if you have a pet you need to be responsible of it.
@ wdym that’s not a good thing??
@@zbr0 because it's YOUR pet, which means YOU have to take responsability and take care of it,feed it
@ ok??? never said i wouldn’t, what’s the point of ur comment😭????

If I get a tank with a sliding door for a baby corn snake, should I be worried about it slipping through the gap in the door panels?
Yes absolutely! Corn snakes are escape artists and baby’s can fit through very small holes and cracks. I would advise maybe starting with a smaller more secure enclosure until it’s bigger.

pet smart sells frozen mice and you can also buy corn snakes there or you can buy corn snakes from breeders or morph market.

If my corn snake is born 2022. She only 20 inches long why is she so small ?
Mine is very small as well! They grow a bit slow and usually reach their adult size around age 3. And some are just smaller than others
Can i ask? which is better for a starter. A female corn snake or a male corn snake? or does it not matter?
Honestly either one! There won’t be much difference in personality! The only difference is that females can get a little bit bigger 😊
@@newlightpets Okay, ty!
I know you said 4 x 2 x 2 is good for full grown. But is a 50 gallon good for a full grown?
I heard the lowest you can squeak by with these days would be a 76 gallon for a smaller corn snake like 4 4.5 feet
No, a 50 gallon is not big enough for an adult corn to thrive. Adults need a 4x2x2’ (120 gallon) enclosure or larger. The enclosure should be at least as long as the snake.
After my gecko I want a corn snake sooo bad but my parents are afraid of them! But then again my dad was afraid of m gecko when I got her
I know where I live. There is an abundance of both corn snakes and ferns, so im assuming ferns would also be fine in their terrarium
Definitely fine!
Are longer or higher tanks better? for the bigger the snake
Longer. Corns like climbing opportunities, but they spend most of their time on the ground. They can get really long and need enough length to stretch out. My 7 yo corn snake is a bit over 4 feet long and his enclosure is 4'x2'x2'.
Ideally an enclosure at least as long as your snake and some height with climbing opportunities is an excellent thing as corns tend to be very active.
Aww! I wanna get a corn snake! But since my recent hamster died bc I accidentally (it was an accident) dropped it and my dog tried to eat it, I think I might be idle until I'm 13. Then I can get a corn snake...
Aw I’m so sorry to hear about this
@@newlightpets Its alright! Happened when I was probably 8 or 7.
I keep hearing from ppl who hate snakes that they will “seize me up” to eat me?? Is that something i should be concerned about and do they have a point???
Absolutely not! This is a very silly myth!
Is a 48 x 24 x 24 okay for a corn snake??
Yes!

This sounds like it could potentially be a respiratory infection! I would take your snake to your vet ASAP
@@newlightpets okay, thanks for the advice! I’ll get her there soon!
Is your corn snake doing alright? She may have been hissing, hopefully.
They are just smelling
can you keep Rain Frog pleasee!
