I've come to notice that the songs and the way Morten sang in the "East Of The Sun, West Of The Moon" album are still within Morten's vocal range on present day, unlike the older albums in the 80s.
Sasha Siregar agreed, you lose power as you get older. I’ve always loved morten’s lower vocal range, but a-ha became known for his falsetto right from the beginning. East of the sun and west of the moon, October great examples of his lower range.
Very much agree, morten has an incredible lower range. Always felt he didn’t use it enough, but as said here already a-ha are known for his falsetto. To me the only song he really struggles on these days is train of thought, he struggles with the chorus.

Yes! Would love to hear more of that voice! The first time I heard that deep voice, even any scratchiness, gravel, raspiness, the grit, those extra embellishments he used to do…can’t go back. The lighter, more polite, softer, higher tones just don’t do it so much for me. I know it’s beautiful, but feels so overdone. I always crave more of the other voice, any way I can get it. That is what makes this man hot to me. He could weigh 300 lbs, shave his head and paint it purple with pink polka dots, and wear a sweatsuit. Morten is so beautiful, and sounds so good in this show. This is a great song. Love the ending part when they are all just playing, Magne is great on the keyboards here and as always. Love at about 2:30 how Morten is just singing away as he walks around with that tambourine but you can't hear a word because he's not by his mic. :-)
