This scene just goes to show that Ferris is just naturally lucky. This is why his sister is so aggravated by him because he can get away with anything. But at the end of the day she still loves him and the face he makes when he realizes his sister is saving his ass is priceless
You can see here that Jeanie actually ended up taking Charlie Sheen’s advice, she’s finally like “You know what? He’s right, why should I care about what Ferris does? It’s not my problem”

@Jeffrey Knowles eh, principal brought all his misery on himself with his illegal breaking and entering. He already knew that Ferris wasn't at the house after he rang the doorbell the second time and should have just left then. Not sure exactly what he was trying to accomplish after that by going inside. Other than of course it's a movie and made great comedy.
For that matter, makes it seem like this song or soundtrack could be an alternative to The William Tell Overture, in terms of a song or music you hear in your head when you’re barely going to make it somewhere and are in a TERRIBLE hurry.
It’s also so perfectly synced with the bounce, notice how he bounces on it about half a second after the kid does, as the momentum built from the kids bounce was added to the momentum he gave to it (double bouncing)
Did anybody else notice that when Ferris is running alongside his dad, he's either jogging comfortably at 20 mph, or Mr. Bueller is going painfully slow?

I kinda like how this is a suspenseful and bit of fast paced scene, but the music is almost calming and slower to the point that it reminds the audience even when Ferris doesn’t have complete control over it, it’s still going to work out for him
She may dislike her brother but she knows him having to do another year of high school is simply way too much. Their petty games and one-upmanship against each other is one thing but having their school principle waiting for hours outside the back of their house and acting all psychotic by promising to make her brother's life hell for the next year always meant she was going to step in and bail her brother out. The fact that he now owes her a massive favour and has completely changed their dynamic doesn't hurt either. She took Charlie Sheen's advice to heart once she saw shit getting real for Ferris. She can be resentful towards her brother for the rest of her life OR she can be part of his schemes and revel in the luck he naturally enjoys instead of being on the wrong end of it by constantly trying to stop him.
Yes because she's in the year below him or if not two years below him and can't face another year of him in the same school and living in the same house.
John Hughes makes a comment on this in the DVD commentary. He says something like, "Yeah, I know they're facing the wrong way, but it was late and we were losing the light."
