In early 1990’s me and two friends would head to Long Key the first week of October for a week of hunting lobster and yellowtail. Those are some my best memories!
I get so stoked when yall's videos come out. Takes me back to fishing with my dad back in the day. We used to make a whole weekend of it in the Gulf of Mexico and running up the Mississippi Delta. Im pushing hard to get a boat and start taking my kiddos out and make those same memories. You guys inspire me to do it. Plus you guys make probably the best videos on TH-cam always motivates me to get my family on the water one day. Thank You for sharing

You can back your boat slow up to trach in the water. If your see triple tail there hold a dip net because the fish will move to the new bigger home. As it starts to swim to its new home dip it up. I worked on charter boats in the 80's in the Keys.
Completely stellar day nailing fish on the Contender’ you guys. I almost made it down for this September’s tuna run but thanks for reminding me how cool it is. So much fun to see you both living life to the fullest. I could taste that tuna!

It was Friday, so I would have guessed everybody would be South bound, instead of North. Also I could notice the traffic jam at one of the launching pads before KW. Rods are going to have a medium action and come in 3 different sizes. 10-20, 20-30, & 30-50. And I would say the best time to launch is during the week. Thanks for enjoying the newest episode!

We have African Gray's, gonna try it haha! Found a floating piece of bamboo and caught a tripletail and a big mahi off it as well, thats coming up in our next vid! That tripletail is SOO GOOD sweet potato crusted on top of a delicious salad!

Been watching your channel dreaming of fishing there so so long. We just ordered our new 25 foot boat and are from Kentucky. I’m making the 17 hour drive with my fiancé to get married in key largo 9/28/24 to get married! We will be in the area for a week before. Me and a couple people would kill to get to fish with you and with someone being so familiar with the area! 31 yo and fishing has been my passion my whole life!

What’s causing the fish to get smaller and smaller in the keys? Over fishing from commercial fisherman? And I love watching the preparation of that fish! It looks delicious.
I would definitely assume that there's a great percentage of it coming from overfishing, but there's also their environment that could have a lot to do with it. Glad that you enjoyed it!
My family has a place in Freeport, I've only been 4 times but never have any luck with Dolfin or in that case much of anything except deep dropping. Maybe I need to try harder... lol,. Our best fishing is off our Hometowne in Va/N. Carolina where nice Yellowfin and occasional Marlin are caught regularly, IMO by far the best fishery on the South/Central East Coast.... Nice boat!
Haha no it's just a little more patience. 😂 I would think that the yellowfin and marlin are a much harder catch than a mahi. Thank you so much for watching.

Awesome video! One of my favourites for sure the edits are so good even the transition from shallow to deep blue you had the radar in the same spot i notice the little details. Also wandered besides spinning your boat in that dredged area wouldn’t it be easier to just back in from the bay to your dock?

Been watching your channel dreaming of fishing there so so long. We just ordered our new 25 foot boat and are from Kentucky. I’m making the 17 hour drive with my fiancé to get married in key largo 9/28/24 to get married! We will be in the area for a week before. Me and a couple people would kill to get to fish with you and with someone being so familiar with the area! 31 yo and fishing has been my passion my whole life!

What’s causing the fish to get smaller and smaller in the keys? Over fishing from commercial fisherman?
And I love watching the preparation of that fish! It looks delicious.
I would definitely assume that there's a great percentage of it coming from overfishing, but there's also their environment that could have a lot to do with it. Glad that you enjoyed it!
My family has a place in Freeport, I've only been 4 times but never have any luck with Dolfin or in that case much of anything except deep dropping. Maybe I need to try harder... lol,. Our best fishing is off our Hometowne in Va/N. Carolina where nice Yellowfin and occasional Marlin are caught regularly, IMO by far the best fishery on the South/Central East Coast.... Nice boat!

Awesome video! One of my favourites for sure the edits are so good even the transition from shallow to deep blue you had the radar in the same spot i notice the little details. Also wandered besides spinning your boat in that dredged area wouldn’t it be easier to just back in from the bay to your dock?
