    This is a great recreation. I recreated HeroQuest in full 3d, using an Elegoo Mars 3d printer and 3d builder, the board, walls, doors, traps, all tiles all 3d now. Currently have KK and RotWL Expansions done in full 3d all tiles including the Throne Room, gonna start on The Frozen Horror here soon.

    Hey! Wow this is absolutely beautiful! I’m currently researching into making a 3d printed HeroQuest board and other extras. I’ve come across the ‘Ye old inn’ and I’m blown away by how amazing the things people have done on it. If I were to print the cards at home what type of paper do I need for the ‘premium feel’ and also do I need a specific type of printer or will my £100 Epson do the job? Thanks very much!

    • @pedrowayne4675
      @pedrowayne4675  ปีที่แล้ว

      I have everything professionally printed. You could use your home printer but there is just no beating the DPi of big office printing …

    Incredible! Do you print the tiles yourself then mount them? Or do you get them printed somewhere?

    • @pedrowayne4675
      @pedrowayne4675  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I get the tile art printed in glossy card stock at a professional printers. There is just no beating the dpi of those printers. …then I mount them on chipboard and cut them out myself. They’re very sturdy!

    • @danroberts007
      @danroberts007 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Pedro they look great. My local Fed Ex/Kinkos would never print those; they are incredibly militant about avoiding any potential copyright infringement. It’s quite annoying as they have some quality printing capability. Wish I could recreate what you’ve done here! Where do you buy the chipboard?

    • @pedrowayne4675
      @pedrowayne4675  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Try Office Depot if there is one near you. …I bought the chipboard from Hobby Lobby. You can buy large sheets there to accommodate a full board and then some.

    • @040055
      @040055 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@pedrowayne4675 I am totally doing this! So you buy the chip board, print on glossy cardstock, how do you adhere the cardstock to the chipboard? Did you say you downloaded all these files from ye old inn?

    • @pedrowayne4675
      @pedrowayne4675  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There’s non need to explain anything…I email the file and tell them what I want and they print it …when I’m ready to mount it. I use glue stick. It is very forgiving and you can use a moist paper towel to clean up occasional glue spots.I cut them out with a metal ruler and an 18mm Olfa knife

      @@pedrowayne4675 your whole process intrigues me. specifically, I was curious what your process was for fixing the images for the tiles and components onto the mdf, cutting it, etc. do you seal them to protect them? if I were to try something similar, what tips would you give so as not to have it become a disaster, haha. anyway, if you don't have time to answer I understand. either way, awesome work!
      thanks for the response!

    • @pedrowayne4675
      @pedrowayne4675  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Kyle , I used a 60 point chipboard…some call it gray board. I print the images on a glossy card stock then use a glue stick to mount them to the board. Once mounted I use a metal ruler and 18mm craft knife to cut them out. I use a heavy black marker on the edge to dress them up. …that’s it.
