Excellent tutorial about using a mask. Thanks a lot. I have a question not related to the mask. When the mouse is over an icon, it shows what function it is. I have changed the settings recently and could not figure out how. Could you help please. Thanks again.
@@RicoResolveswhen the mouse moved over an icon, it shows which function. What happened to me, I did modify some settings. Now whenever the mouse is over an icon, it doesn't show which function, e.g. in Retouch module, the mouse over a circle or eclipse icon. There is an annotation "add circle" or "add eclipse". I hope this makes it clear.
It's quite funny how all the Lightroom videos you see these days are all "Unlock the power of MASKS!" like they're new while us Darktable folks are like "uh, yeah..." 😂
I feel that your demo of the parametric mask using the color equaliser module was a very poor example. By using the dropper to select a color or a color range (using ctrl key) you don't need a parametric mask. Also, if you want to only edit a specific area, you can just use a drawn mask.
This was fantastic. Thank you. I needed this.
Awesome to hear, I'm glad my video was helpful!
Short, and to the point. Thank you!!!
Glad you like it!
Thank you for the excellent guide. I have learned multiple new tips with this...... 👍👍👍

Thanks Mick, it's good to receive and read comments like these. I appreciate you
I think the dog at 4:50 probably understood more than I did, but thanks for the video, I'm sure it will be helpful to many people 👍
Anything I can clear up in a new video for you? I'll be glad to dedicate one to troubleshooting or extra help!

Hi, thank you for your kind words. I'm not sure if I understand the question. What settings did you lose, and which ability got lost with it?

Lightroom users be like: "Let's slide the clarity slider all the way to the right"
