They are quite unreliable though, I went to a supercar experience day and the Porsche broke down because the gearbox broke and it was a PDK so had to pick another car, and it was only a 991 Turbo, so not that old. Have known people with Porsches who sold them because they didn't like the running costs because of all the electronic gadgets that break.
4:28 i cant believe that theyve managed to extract another 40bhp out of that engine which already makes 500bhp naturally aspirated just by putting a titanium exhaust on there. just goes to show how fantastic that porsche engine really is.

This is the kind of sound that makes me curse all those stupidly strict EU laws about emissions. As if it's the cars' fault for all this, as if there are no aeroplanes, no dirty boats, no trucks without catalysts.
There's something heroic about a propper shakedown. I'd rather break it on a dyno then out and about & you just have to try and see if it works how it should. If it does sustain that initial punishment then there's nothing that could shake it in the real world, and that's an awesome to not only believe but truly know!

I mean it’s not like they sit on the limiter for 10 seconds, it’s like 1.5 seconds at the most… which I realize can hurt the engine, but in reality, Porsche engines are made extremely well and can handle the ‘abuse’ if that’s what you’d call it? Though I do agree and acknowledge that it is horrible to sit at the rev limiter👍

The 991.2 GT3 RS is actually rated at 520 PS (513 bhp) in stock form, but +20 PS from an exhaust is still not bad.

I guess rear part of dyno is connected to front part. So when rear wheels spin the rear dyno, the front dyno spins the front tires.
