I also got in the habit of using a granite pad on top of different height platforms so I could keep things warmer under the torch easy cheat to keep small peices color to strike

Go visit the Blauschka Glass Flowers exhibit at Harvard, botanical & flower specimens all made of glass and very realistic. You really have to see them in person to appreciate how delicate they are!

The first pink you were using needs to de stress as it heat start it in the end if your far cone or the tails of your flame spin wave slowly through then gradually pull it closer it won't do that there was a random set of years many producers punk did that
