Hey Tim. Thanks for commenting. To be perfectly honest with you it could be a number of things from the processor in the unit slowing down/ malfunctioning. Or it could be something to do with the coil. I've had my vanquish 540 since 2020 and haven't had any issues like that. Sorry I can't be of much help. I would recommend emailing or calling Minelab customer service. Is your warranty still good?
Hi Shane, Julie uses the 540 in Jewelery mode with the Iron bias on low the same as you, but she has it in all metal mode because we want to hear everything thats down there, good informative video brother. ATB Bill and Julie 👍😊❤

Great videos new scriber! I learned 3 different things that i didn't know and i have owned this machine twice. Im having an issue that just started a month ago so maybe i need to reset my machine. I like to go for silver coins so i setup 24 and up on the machine.. however i was at a park a month ago and thought it was weird that i was not hitting anything so i waved a dime over the coil and it wasn't showing anything at all until i notched at least 20 and up??? Hope my machine isn't messed up. Thanks

found a vanquish 340 on craigslist. $60. found my first junk ring seems to be in good working order. with head phones.

I'm struggling to use these headphones they connect then all of a sudden the sound is coning out the detector and the headphones
Yeah, I'm at a loss on that one. Never an issue I've encountered before. Maybe contact Minelab.
