Cool, I'm planning to get a new Losi 5ive T 2.0 in Blue next summer or for my 25th birthday in 2025. But i'm wondering what receiver battery i should get either the Spektrum 4,000Mah 2s or the DDM Racing 7,000Mah 2s if it fits the battery tray in the 5T 2.0. I'm starting to love these big 8th - 5th scale rigs more than 10th scale.
Hi yea I’m glad buddy. 1/5th scale are definitely one thing different. Battery choice does not make a difference. So feel free to choose what you like 👍🏽
@@SmithRCStudios That's good to know, I have recently considering the 30 degree north v2 clone of the 5ive t 2.0 but i'm unsure of which one i should go with. the 30DN is cheaper and comes with a 7075 chassis stock vs the 6061 of the official truck. But the RTR of the clone comes with an offbrand 29cc 2 stroke engine and a cheap radio whereas the official one comes with the Zenoah 32cc and a Spektrum radio system just the receiver.
Question for you? We are approaching spring soon. I have a RCMK XCR 1000 ( you can buy them on Dave’s). I received it used but blew the engine as it wasn’t in shape when I got it. The chassis and everything is really good shape. Do you think I should look into a OBR engine for it I was thinking somewhere along 30-34cc. It stock comes with a 29cc engine. I’d need the engine, new fuel tank and a new front shock tower. I was a bit worried bout parts support although I hear these cars are built pretty well and Dave’s has some parts for it. Or should I just sell as a roller and get into something more common for the parts reason like a Losi 5T 2.0 or Kraken machine. In the end the RCMK and everything I’ll need to get it running will cost me just about as much as a Losi 5T 2.0. I’ve only ever had a HPI 5B original buggy and a HPI 5SC BAJA so I have had 1/5 and I build quite a few 1/8 kits for racing like Tekno and Mugen. Thanks. Love your channel 🇨🇦👋☃️

Looks good. Do you race or just thrash around. We dont have anything car rc around me. It's hour and a half to a track but hoping a track is being built down the road. I noticed a driver's stand & bleachers as I drove by.
Conversion??? The 5T 2.0 is pretty much a race truck right OUT THE BOX! That tube extension you have coming from the exhaust pipe is gonna be a problem. It’s too long. You hit a berm wrong and it’ll either break, rip, or shut the car off from getting clogged.
Hey thanks for the comments. But just so you know, that exhaust tube extension is not a part i was planning for running lol... during the break in process i don’t like the black oil splatter all j over my white wheels. So i redirected it with the extension. Cheers
No hate here, but it IS a race truck out of the box. He can build it whatever way he wants as it is his money and he'll just end up in a different spec race class. They've got classes for all. From full stock all the way up to full mod. Smith knows what he's doing and he's doing it his own way.

Yes. There is a brace towards the end of the pipe that attaches to the chassis.
