At 48 years old I finally realized my dream and bought my first horse. I have been binge watching your videos and heard before you were from Oklahoma but the Broken Arrow Tigers shirt made me laugh. I am from BA and my daughter went to school there. She graduated 2017 and played for their softball team. Had no idea you were so close. Wish we could have met before you moved back to Virginia. Thank you for all the instruction. My Boy Champ and I are both learning a lot!

That is amazing 😊 how are you and your horse doing now?
I recently started riding at 35 years old, and I am loving it.
      Greetings from the UK 💫

Oh this is a literal life saver. I have been tying the knot so weird that's still like.. easy to get out, but a bit too easy. And too hard to put in.
I was just to scared to ask how to tie a knot since I forgot.

My 21 year old gelding watched me untie these knots so many times he figured out how to do it himself so when i walk to get a grooming kit or something he quickly unties himself and follows after me lol

Learn it well and make sure you do it correctly. I would also specify that it is good if there is another direction the knot could be accessed from, like here you could duck under and easily accessthe tail of the rope. I witnessed an incident where the horse freaked out and ended up breaking her neck.😨 It was the owner of the barn and I guess his knot jammed and he couldn't stay close enough with the horse throwing herself around. But we get into horse training territory, maybe tying and letting them fight it out isn’t the only and best way to teach a horse to accept standing tied. 🧐

a few tap cons in a concrete block are nothing to tie a horse too. If you want to teach the horse to pull back use break away anything and it totally ruins a horse. If you want. a good tier use a neck rope and tie to something that will not break. As for length of tie , arms length
As for the quick release don't pass the end of the rope through the loop. A horse sitting back can be dangerous

Please don't skip ads! These are $. I try to watch all of ad 1 of 2 and at least 30 seconds of ad 2 of 2. I've read various remarks over the years that we must watch at least 30 seconds for the ad to count as watched. I also Google this and found 2 articles confirming 30 seconds count as ad watched. I often just let them play and go check my email, leaving the TH-cam window open.
