The TDS will show you true airspeed, it's under Utilities I think, the brown brief case looking button. What's the Deutch website with the VFR airport info, etc.? We have NOTHING like that on this side of the pond.

You should be able set the baro on the Bendix King autopilot unit, separately from the altimeter, I'd assume. Obviosuly if the two don't match, you will end up busting your level or levelling short of the target.

It looks nice but unfortunately I have only the Standard version of MSFS so a definite purchase may not be quite so ‘definite’. For me it’ll have to be outstanding to get to the top of the tree over the Cessna 414, which for similar money you get the whole plane, opening doors etc and it has been updated and refined far more than any other of my purchases. It also flies very ‘realistically’. I say this as someone who flew a Baron 58 around Namibia a fair bit and a C401 for a few hours with my instructor who’s employer owned one. Did my initial IR in a Baron too.
@@superskullmaster Just to clarify. Are you implying I can buy both the basic Baron plus the new avionics update in one package at Simplaza? (Or maybe separately ie two purchases)
@@stephenmckinnell7791 I would recommend upgrading to the full MSFS version. Don't base your hobby on piracy. That brings damages to the entire ecosystem.
@@jompiii I have no idea about ‘piracy’ and didn’t know what Simplaza is. But when it comes to ethics, I wonder if ‘Microsoft’ is a good place to start the discussion?

@@jompiii I just get uneasy when someone appears to see things a certain way, when all the facts are difficult (or impossible) to know. I want the Baron a lot, but am I willing to be ‘unethical’ when getting it? Probably not, but then there’s other questions that could be asked. Like how easy might it be for MSFS to make available individual types in the deluxe or premium option at say $10 a pop in the marketplace? I’d be paying more than I need to, but at a more acceptable price than paying a lot more for planes and airports I’d never use.
Can’t wait to use my discount. Baron always has been my “if I had this amount of money I’d buy one” plane.

Couldn't find any way to do that in this unit. This doesn't seem to be the type of autopilot that needs a seperate QNH to be set.
