Gheorghe Zamfir just played the pan flute in this recording. The creation of the composition "The Lonely Shepherd" has nothing to do with G. Zamfir or Romania. G. Zamfir managed to get the right to release this recording from 1977 beside J. Last , because he had played the panpipe solo. But this does not make G.Zamfir the composer of this music piece. My wife convinced me to go and see Mr. Zamfir in Toronto in the mid eighties. I was completely blown away. This brings back those wonderful memories so dear to me. Rest in peace, my dearest Jan.

I saw James last literally on stage I got a kiss and a cuddle. We were at his concert in Preston, My whole family in 1978. My mother even danced in the aisles. It was magical never stop listening to him now. They have all passed but no one can take my memories.
