I love my ninja 300 ABS. I've been riding for 3 months now and I'm getting more and more comfortable each day. The learning never stops. Thank you for sharing your views on this bike.
Great video, enjoyed your insight about the ninja 300. So far that's where my sights are set on for buying my first motorcycle. The ride would be about 80% commuting for 10 miles a day in Long Beach, CA. After all the videos I've watched and the research on going... yeeup, ninja 300 for sure! Wooo! Let's roll! 🏍
I'm 6 ft 2 and I weigh 300 lb and I own this bike right now currently. I started on a ninja 1100 and I've ridden up to 1300 cc's. Been riding 16 years. I absolutely love this bike and it is the most fun that I have had since I've been riding. I put a 15 tooth sprocket to make first gear longer consequently though every gear is a little taller now so it's slightly less torque. I wish we would stop calling these beginner bikes. Powerband kicks in over 8,000 RPMs and then that thing just wants to rip for a small bike that's where the fun is. 8000 - 13000 RPM. Fun little bike. The bike is plenty fast for City riding and she does the highway fine. You won't break any sound barriers and you'll have to plan your takeovers when passing. But this bike is absolutely perfect for around town in the city and through twisties. Still faster than most cars. A smaller lighter Rider will have different results. I'm telling you man this bike is great
Dewey Jacks ABS is absolutely worth it imo. Check out some of the demonstration videos on TH-cam. It's even required on all bikes sold in Europe now because of how effective it is at reducing accidents.
Everyone says ABS is worth it, but I don't have it and I'm a total noob. First off, I'm not going fast enough to where I'll need to worry about stopping on a dime, but I was taught that in my safety class and I've come to some fairly quick stops. On a motorcycle you're more observant than ever, sometimes even paranoid, so you're more careful than ever. My friend told me as I get more confident handling my bike, to practice getting up to speed, and braking hard to test it out, see if it skids, how hard, and mostly get used to handling it when that happens. For me, I don't really feel I need ABS right now. It's not like you'll brake slower without it. It's just built to prevent you from skidding/locking up. Will you be racing around and have a need for that? That's the question. Your bike will still come with fine brakes without ABS. I did hear the Yamaha R3's have bad braking systems, so upgrading or getting ABS on them may be more important than the Ninja 300s. At least from what I've heard.
Alamo cycle plaza, I’m guessing you’re from San Antonio? Lol I’m from Corpus Christi and I’m trying to go up there to get a 2015 ninja 300! I know that’s a good bike to start on
Nice video, I'm a beginner motorcyclist, am small 166cm so which bike of this equation is right for me? I drive daily to work in the city and also the highway and sometimes during a weekend round of recreational so, which one? Ninja 300 or Yamaha R3 or Suzuki GSX250R
My biggest problem as a beginner is stalling. I can emergency brake, shift well, and u-turn, but i always seem to let the clutch out a bit too much/fast. Does the slipper clutch help that in anyway? (All my previous experience is on a HD street 500)
135Jaeger531 It just takes time and practice. Slipper clutches help prevent your wheels from locking up when you downshift without rev matching. They don't have anything to do with the friction zone as far as I know
I don't fit on them, my legs too long, oddly I fit comfy on old second gen Ninja 250. Have you seen the 300x Versys? It's the 300 engine in adventure frame.
I hate when people call this a “beginner bike” !! You don’t call a Mini Cooper a “starter car” it’s a “ small displacement motorcycle!! I’ve been riding for years and I recently, bought one . I love this bike! I’m 5’6”/160 , I can flatfoot this bike ...and I beg to differ, it has plenty of power *unless, your carrying a passenger then well... your right. But if you’re not a big person 5’5” -6’0 up to 200ish you’ll love this bike 🏍! Also, inexpensive, cheap to operate, great for short road trips, and commuter, wicked fun second bike, awesome gas mileage. Huge gas tank. With my weight, I can get to 100+mph, 80 all day long. Cons: 1st gear! Useless!!
The new market exists for a number of reasons [a] Sell updated models [b] appeal to the "it aint easy to be cheap when you got the money type of cocks" [c] you guessed why. Income status and finance options can mean the difference between buying new or used. We can use your point in the lateral terms; why buy a 4000 miles 300 when you can buy one at 12000 miles and be able to it sell for nearly the same price. The truth is, every point of wealth seeks out a certain amount of guarantee and that is why we have the balance of economy model [demographics, psychographics, macro-economics etc of those factors ultimately influence buying decisions.

Im getting this bike next week can't wait!!!
Mr Jones did you ever get your ninja 300
I love my ninja 300 abs I have had for 3 years now and still not tired of it and also if you know how to shift right you will never have any problems
how does it do on the freeway?
now if places could stop selling used 2014-2016 ones at $4k that would be great.
Yeah this is the bike I want but prices are high
I am looking to get a Ninja 300 in the next few months. Is ABS worth the extra $300.00? I'm a new rider! Going with a new 2017 model in Candy Blue!

The brakes without ABS will be not very efficient as if there was ABS on
get a used one
MJ Noob )
Hey! I got my first bike at Alamo Cycle Plex. But I much prefer Universal City Kawasaki for buying the Ninja I have.
Good recap! I like the CBR 300, I still enjoy my R3 both are pretty good I would say
I got a R6 as a first bike 4 weeks ago. I wish I got a 300. I’m looking to trade it for a 300
Dude you should have these two vids in one, so I don’t have to hate on you on 1 video and love on you on the other. #Ninja300forLife
Got my 2015 300 abs with 400 miles for 2500 pretty good deal
I got a 15 white 800 bucks it need a little work. clutch. and seals

I consistently see early-mid 2000s ninja250s on craigslist for $1500.

Still loving mine, getting a cbr soon though
I really want to get a motorcycle (like the ninja 300) mostly because I don’t have the space for a whole car. What shoes should I wear while biking?
You recomend this bike as a first one?
This is a much better video than the other one where you saud the ninja 300 is not a good beginner bike
My first bike was a blood red Ninja 300, traded her for a Yamaha R3 upgraded
5'4 will I be fit in this beast kawa300😊
yahuda sektak i'm 5'2 still fits on it

Qwahzi IRL gotcha thanks for the reply appreciate it
135Jaeger531 Np, good luck!
Is it good for a brand new rider?
I don't fit on them, my legs too long, oddly I fit comfy on old second gen Ninja 250. Have you seen the 300x Versys? It's the 300 engine in adventure frame.
Plenty of people bought new ones and the used market is flooded with them. Boom saved you 6 minutes
What frame sliders are those? Hard to install?

How fast can the bike actually go?
I have photo at 191.. I'd say light rider. some tuning you could push 200 max
Why would you ever buy a 250 or 300 new? You outgrew this bike months ago.
It's called the economic cycle chump.
Why not buy used and sell it 6 months later for exactly what you paid for it?
The new market exists for a number of reasons [a] Sell updated models [b] appeal to the "it aint easy to be cheap when you got the money type of cocks" [c] you guessed why.

I believe that all bikes should be bought used. Motorcycle manufacturers should stop making new bikes, only used bikes.
Try investing some change for a new brain, maybe it will make sense.
Yeah, I was looking at a ninja 300 for my first bike, but then I got a gixxer.... 1000.
