I love how we are obsessed with high-end, extremely luxurious things just so us, Filipinos, can prove to the world that we are "world-class" when existing cities in Manila doesn't even have a decent flood control system or even decent roads that does not degrade every two years (or before election season if you know what I mean). Even if this project does happen, pretty sure most of us won't even be able to afford to go to it and only the ultra rich can benefit greatly from it.
We need to study hard so that we can have a good job and a good income, and this will be the key to our development and so that we can afford such things.
Abolish the 1987 Constitution and change reforms with 3 Points Agenda are the answers with permanent solutions. Phillippines need the change into a new reforms Parliamentary System-Federalism and Open FDI

This is a city of diamond indeed. The project is ultra luxury and hi-tech on par with Dubai and it makes Manila a top class among other SEA capital cities.
That why the manila bay is slowly being transformed and a lot of families in slum areas are being relocated in a more decent community. Trains are being constructed. These little steps are in preparation for a bigger and better City of Pearl maybe in blueprints right now. If you look at the city map presented to Isko, you will see that the City of Pearl lies North East of Horizon, entrance at Baseco... I think the government opted to be quiet to minimise opposition... As long it will not end up like the Forest City in Malaysia where the mainland Chinese owns and controls everything, then everything is fine. In the Forest City, the main language is Mandarin. All the signages are in Mandarin. It is basically a Chinese city in Malaysia. edit: I learned that this City of Pearl is part of the one belt one road project of China. This will really become like Forest City. Better cancel this project if it's not yet canceled. We don't need an artificial island where most of the inhabitants are from mainland China.

Yes, you're right, so many big projects in the Philippines are really exciting and useful for the Filipinos, but we must think about what we really need, how the public, private or public-private sectors will allocate its resources, and of course, how much risk are Filipinos (not the Government) taking for having such big projects that can be stopped and canceled instantly because of external (even internal) problems like lack of funding or even a health crisis.
Even if Filipinos build a lot of islands in Manila Bay, there is no point if you can't see the mountains and natural scenery. But if you have a lot of man-made islands like Dubai and a lot of rich and famous investors who build skyscrapers like Dubai, that's fine.
Is not impossible with the right people in the governmenr is achievable. Vote wisely on 2022. Have faith!

As long it will not end up like the Forest City in Malaysia where the mainland Chinese owns and controls everything, then everything is fine. In the Forest City, the main language is Mandarin. All the signages are in Mandarin. It is basically a Chinese city in Malaysia.
edit: I learned that this City of Pearl is part of the one belt one road project of China. This will really become like Forest City. Better cancel this project if it's not yet canceled. We don't need an artificial island where most of the inhabitants are from mainland China.
yes this is all for the Chinese since it's getting too expensive for them to live in Hongkong. They are buying up lands in the PHilippines so they can move there.

the Manila LGU does not deserve such project because previous reclamation projects like the port area ang BASECO were not even utilized to the fullest of its potential, dinugyot lang. Beside maganda lang tingnan sa drawing yang pearl project but in reality mid-rise building lang ang pweding i build sa reclaim land, dirty water ways and traffic will make the city inconvenient to live.. The government shall rather fucos on building the new clark city to decongest metro manila.
Yes, you're right, so many big projects in the Philippines are really exciting and useful for the Filipinos, but we must think about what we really need, how the public, private or public-private sectors will allocate its resources, and of course, how much risk are Filipinos (not the Government) taking for having such big projects that can be stopped and canceled instantly because of external (even internal) problems like lack of funding or even a health crisis.
