Keaton's definitely there in spirit. It's in the way Noah sings, the way each band performs the song, and the ambience during each performance. The mic stand for Keaton and the video of him playing on the screens add to how hauntingly beautiful and heartbreaking this performance is. It's perfect, fitting, and Bad Omens has more than made Keaton proud. 🖤
"I'll be filling in for Keaton tonight"... if I wasn't at work at the moment, I'd be absolutely sobbing... this cover is so beautiful ❤️ Edit 8/19/23: I saw this live in Worcester on this tour and absolutely SOBBED. Hearing this is an out of body experience. Shook me to my damn CORE.
Noah is so humble and kind to have the song as a duet between both him and the recording of Keaton. I love them all, this song is so emotionally rich and heart-wrenching. Noah and the band could not have picked a better song to pay tribute to and with his best friend.
Keaton would certainly be proud. Not only of this vocal performance but of you guys as well and what you've accomplished. Thank you for carrying on his memory.
Can we acknowledge the fact that EVEN THE FORMER BAND MEMBERS OF TCTT came back to perform just to pay their last respects to Keaton Pierce?! Just wow❤️💯🙏 Playing it in this key felt just right for this tribute.
Can we please get a studio version of this? Heads up to the sound team very good quality on the show, especially how it came out on the video, i shed a tear and got goosebumps
Shit man I had no idea he died till I saw this video. I listened to too close to touch a few years back and liked what I heard. Damn sham man. What happened to him, if ya don't mind me asking?
The way he says "hello" in the beginning hits me a certain way. You can feel the pain in how he has to introduce the band in place of Keaton. This cover couldn't have been done better by anyone else. R.I.P Keaton 🤟🖤
It amazes me, to see most people don't know about Too Close To Touch, Its one of the best bands in its genre, the passion Keaton Pierce Sang... simply incredible!!! Rest In peace Brother 🙏 Great Tribute by Bad Omens 👏
You could literally hear pain in his voice during his song named Eiley. It breaks me thinking of their parents 💔 to lose one child is devastating but to lose two is just plain cruel!! I remember watching a live performance on here years ago and I could not hold the tears! I agree Keaton Pierce should be known world wide.
Being there right up front.. they came out and my soul shattered. I can’t even describe it. I knew they’d been performing it during this tour and was so excited to hear it, but when the band came out, I lost it. Literal historic moment to me and I’ll never forget being there and then getting to watch this and relive it over and over again.
Here is the lyrics so we can sing along with them. Take a step inside my mind As my eyes are open wide In my sleep I turn and toss To rebuild the heart I lost You can tell me what you want Forming once and lovers lost Paper thin your words they haunt my dreams The seams have come undone Don't you dare say I'm gonna make it 'Cause I don't believe a word you say Don't you dare say I'm gonna make it 'Cause I don't believe a word you say There's a sickness living inside me You can spare me all your sympathy Take a second of your time Realize you're wasting mine In the night I lie awake Why rebuild a heart that breaks You can tell me what you want Forming once and lovers lost Paper thin your words they haunt my dreams The seams have come undone Don't you dare say I'm gonna make it 'Cause I don't believe a word you say There's a sickness living inside me You can spare me all your sympathy Just spare me all your sympathy I'm sitting waiting on the sun to rise I know it never will It comes as no surprise So won't you stare into my heart of lies It looks so hungry now It comes as no surprise Don't you dare say I'm gonna make it 'Cause I don't believe a word you say There's a sickness living inside me You can spare me all your sympathy You can spare me all your sympathy
One of the most touching parts of this performance for me was how Noah sung every line except "don't you dare say I'm gonna make it " and "there's a sickness living inside me" to which he left for Keaton's original vocals. I'm not sure if this is symbolic to Keaton's sudden passing but the more I think about it the more emotional the song becomes for me. Regardless, KP would be so proud of this and everything Noah stands for
Yes, like they said…it was an experience, and I just don’t believe that the emotion they bring can be replicated. Bad Omens deserve the success they are receiving.
@@eringullion8363 It would have been even better for me, but had some drama while waiting in line. My son is 19 and has a fake ID, he wasn't even planning on drinking and accidentally gave the guy the fake ID (which is a really good one, he's used it hundreds of times) dude immediately took it, took my son to the front, scanned his ticket so I couldn't resell it or give it away, and banned my son from the venue. We were 3 hours away so he had to sit in the car the entire time. I was fucking devastated. Going to shows with my son is my favorite thing in the world. I think they went too far with it, they should have just taken the fake ID and been done with it. He still had his real one that proved he was over 18. It was a 10/10 show for me, but it would have been 11/10 with my son, we had been waiting on this show for months now, we both LOVE Bad Omens, Dayseeker, and Make Them Suffer. We had never seen Bad Omens before. I was so fucking sad.
Noah really meant it when he said that Too Close To Touch and Keaton Pierce had a massive impact on Bad Omens' sound as a band and Noah's singing. Man, how Noah captured the essence of Keaton! Felt almost as though it was Keaton singing in Noah's body. Incredible work, Noah, and Bad Omens. I'm sure Keaton smiled down at this performance when watching it ❤
Look at Noah in the 3:06 minute of the video. Even bigger tears come to my eyes from the sight of these emotions. It's very heartwarming, very touching and sad
Noah’s voice is tranquil and always brings me so much peace. I love the music you’ve shared with the world. Each of you is a gift and we are so lucky to have your talent shared with us. You are some of the kindest most wonderful artists on todays Music scene. I can’t wait to see you live again soon ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This was the first TCTT song I ever heard, sadly I didn't know of them until after Keaton passed. This is beautiful, and the love all of you have for him pours out in the performance. I know this is super late, but I'm so sorry for the loss of a friend, band mate, and all around genuine and kind person.
What a cover! Such a tragedy that Keaton passed so soon. You can see Noah's pain when the line "there's a sickness living inside me". That hits so hard. RIP Keaton. You will be sorely missed.
Too Close To Touch is a band that I would go to during hard times, from the weight of the world being a little too much to handle, to when I lost my grandpa nearly 9 years ago, when I would feel too overwhelmed, and earlier this year when I had lost my dog, who is more than just my best friend. TCTT helped me through so many things in my life that I could never put into words on how much they have helped me. Losing Keaton hurt so much and I haven't had the heart to listen to TCTT or watch his streams. I thought the world had forgotten about him but this performance brought me to tears listening to TCTT again. Thank you so much for bringing Too Close To Touch and Keaton back to life, it truly means the world to hear his voice one last time.
I found out yesterday about Keaton's passing. It was shocking and crushing to me since I found out about TCTT band around this year and now Sympathy by TCTT is my #1 favorite song by that band ❤ R.i.p Keaton, your an amazing singing legend and I love how Noah dedicated this cover to Keaton what a lovely friendship
This cover song hits me so hard. Recently I was diagnosed with cancer. I hate the thought of telling people because I feel like if they look at me with eyes of sympathy I wont be able to stay as strong and strong as I currently feel. Rest in peace Keaton. ❤
i've been a too close to touch fan since their first album. keaton's passing was shocking & absolutely heartbreaking. i had the pleasure of meeting the whole band at the 2017 warped tour in st pete's FL. this tribute is beautiful & honestly has me in tears. you're so missed, keaton.
My dad passed away days before the Milwaukee show and I’ve never cried at a concert but… Noah opened up and spilled his heart and soul to us. It meant the world to me to be able to be at a show, which my dad would want me to be at… and be able to make him apart of it in my own way. Keaton was there, and so was my dad. Noah invited all of our sorrow…. Thank you Noah, RIP Keaton,RIP dad. 11.08.22
I recently got into bad omens songs about a year ago and shortly after I came across too close to touch. The “Haven’t Been Myself” album has healed me in so many ways than I can even put out there. I love so many of their songs and the more I discover too close to touch the more I understand why Keaton Pierce was so loved. Finding out Noah was Keaton’s best friend and heavy influence was truly inspiring for me and brought me to tears. You did wonderful Noah! Rest in paradise Keaton, may you continue to sing your soul away in everlasting peace 🫶🏻
Genuinely gives me chills. I can't think of a better singer to keep the heart of this song intact while giving it his all in his own voice. Lot of guys with crazy levels of talent out there and Noah's definitely on that list.
I cried so much in Minneapolis during this part of the set. It’s such a beautiful tribute. And the fact that the rest of the band was invited to be a part of this specific performance makes it even more incredible. Keaton had such a dynamic voice and a wonderful way of expressing his emotions in lyrics. He will always be alive in his music. Thank you, Bad Omens, for making moments like this to keep Keaton’s memory alive.
honestly at a loss for words that he was able to get the whole band back together to perform this, i’ve been listening to Tctt since nerve endings, and i will never stop listening to them, Keaton’s voice will live on ❤🔥
Keaton😭❤ I saw them in 2016, and met them. They were awesome, and I just fell in love with them. I was heartbroken when he passed. The music is how he lives on forever, and with you Noah, it still gets played live. Love yall❤❤
I've been listening to Too Close To Touch for a year or so on and off. I had no idea Keaton had passed away. Sending my condolences to the friends and family. That was a beautiful cover that many if any could sing well besides Keaton, thank you Noah and the remaining members of Too Close To Touch. Rest In Peace Keaton, you are missed...
Been a huge Too Close To Touch fan for a long time and am now just finding this video for the first time.. Wow, I've always loved this song and this was an amazing tribute. RIP Keaton
that was incredibly beautiful but also indescribably painful! 💔 you’re guys are amazing! it’s really hard to hide all the tears when I listen to this song! ♥️ Keaton was one of the best artists we ever had! his passing like an open wound that will never heal! Keaton was an incredible person! he was an angel! I’m so grateful for every minute of his songs. so grateful for the care he provided me through his music during a difficult time. he taught me a lot and there are not enough words to express my gratitude for everything he did. he will always live in our hearts 🕊️🤍🤲🏼 thank you Bad Omens for this tribute!
I love that he has inspired so much into Noah's sound now. If you have heard his music from 2019 to today it's so drastically changed. I'm hoping keaton is a reason he is coming out on top as one of the best metal vocalists for a LONG time.
I somehow have never heard of Too Close To Touch until I became a fan of Bad Omens. Even so, this video and every video I've seen of others posting of this cover just hits me in the feels. You can really hear and see the emotion in Noah and the pride he had in his friend ❤️
Missing someone you never met is such an odd feeling. Too Close to Touch’s music was there when I needed it most. Keaton’s voice and his lyrics touched my heart in ways I never knew music could. I’m sad I never got to meet him or see him perform. Thank you Bad Omens for letting his voice live on. Thank you so much for this..
I only found out tonight that he passed and it makes my heart hurt. Noah, you have a beautiful soul. This song helped me so much after my first love was killed and I can feel the emotions behind your performance the way I did with Keaton's. It brought me to tears. Thank you for doing what you do. RIP, Keaton. You are dearly missed.
This song is just so beautiful I can’t help but to sob every time I listen to it. I’m sad that Keaton passed away I never got to see them at a concert.
I just heard in this video that Keaton has died. I‘m shocked. He was such a good human being from what I’ve heard and he had such a hard time since his sister died. I‘m so heartbroken. Rest in Peace. I feel your empathy, Keaton. With all my heart. 😔
RIP Keaton, only got to see him once at Warped ‘16, and that was the first time I had ever even heard of the band. Nobody seemed to know who they were, but when they started performing everyone was collectively like “Wow, these guys are legit”.
I just found Too Close To Touch very recently from my buddy Alex. I listened to the song they released recently with Noah on it and was very surprised how good it was. I looked deeper into the band and found out that Keaton was the friend Noah has spoken about that passed many times and was instantly sad af... Keaton was a great vocalist and I wish he was still around to make us great music still. Too many amazing vocalists taken away too young...
I'm emotional just sitting on my computer listening to this. I can't even imagine how emotional it must have been for the band to get up there and play this song without Keaton. Truly incredible.
Noah is the only one that could do Keaton justice. Every aspect of how they performed this in incredible. "I'll be filling in for Keaton night" man 💔 that got me. RIP Keaton I know you and Eiley were there with them for this one 🙏
I love this!! I would die for this song to come out just like this on Spotify and everything else. Both vocals mix so well and it's absolutely beautiful!
Every night you guys perform this you have absolutely done amazing. Giving your full heart and soul into this performance. More than you do your own songs. To experience this specific show would have been beautiful. Thank you Bad Omens team for capturing this. 🖤 Crying at home watching, I couldn’t imagine the emotions during the show.
You never are really gone until someone says your name for the last time. Keaton will live on forever thanks to Noah. Thanks beautiful soul. Beautiful version 😥💖✌️🎶
Damn. This video randomly popped up on my feed and I clicked it thinking I'd see both bands together. I was a fan of TCTT and had been a fan of Keaton since before Cascades Faceless People EP was even released. Didn't know he passed, though. RIP big time man and thanks for sharing your gifts with all of us. Your music helped me a lot and you live on through it
RIP Keaton. I love that you guys are keeping his memory alive and I'm positive he's smiling down on you guys. This performance gives me the goosebumps and I can't get enough of it!
R.I.P Brother, thank you for inspiring so many in your Life. Forever Remembered. Your words will never die, Through your art and those lives you've touched, your spirit will live on.
Before I went and seen them in Minneapolis, I seen this on tiktok, so it kinda gave me a spoiler but seeing it in person just got emotional. RIP Keaton.
I love this song and I found out about this from Noah...I am sorry Keaton is not with us anymore. This song is so emotional and the fact that Bad Omens are playing it in memory of Keaton is so awesome!!!
When I first heard this band it made me think of too close to touch. Been listening to too close to touch forever. Had no idea they were best friends. Glad they performed this.
What an incredible tribute to Keaton and gesture to have the band perform with you. It's things like this (along with your amazing music) why you guys have become one of my favorite bands over the years. Thank you Bad Omens
Keaton’s voice will live forever ❤️
K.F 2 for keaton Forever
Absolutely!!
💙💙💙💙
RIP Keaton
It sure will
Time to cry again. Its been 2 years now, RIP Keaton.
i never cry for no one.. but this is sick
This song ripped my heart open 💔
I'm just finding out about this (life has been chaotic), and yeah. I'm crying. Too Close To Touch got me through for a while there
Right here with you.. 😢
keeping Keatons vocals for parts of the chorus and essentially singing alongside him, absolute goosebumps - this is such a beautiful tribute
Facts sounds perfect!!
Omg I don’t know how Noah’s can sing this song ,if I were him probably start crying 😢 ..
I didn’t realize the additional mic stand. What a nice touch…
It's so gorgeous 😢 I'm crying
Keaton has easily one of my favorite voices in any genre
"I'll be filling in for Keaton tonight"... if I wasn't at work at the moment, I'd be absolutely sobbing... this cover is so beautiful ❤️
Edit 8/19/23: I saw this live in Worcester on this tour and absolutely SOBBED. Hearing this is an out of body experience. Shook me to my damn CORE.
Don’t worry, I think I cried enough tears for the both of us
Noah is so humble and kind to have the song as a duet between both him and the recording of Keaton. I love them all, this song is so emotionally rich and heart-wrenching. Noah and the band could not have picked a better song to pay tribute to and with his best friend.
Dork...
I didn’t even know he died until now and I’m losing it
I was listing to this in the grocery store and lost it when he started singing
Keaton would certainly be proud. Not only of this vocal performance but of you guys as well and what you've accomplished. Thank you for carrying on his memory.
Can we acknowledge the fact that EVEN THE FORMER BAND MEMBERS OF TCTT came back to perform just to pay their last respects to Keaton Pierce?! Just wow❤️💯🙏
Playing it in this key felt just right for this tribute.
Can we please get a studio version of this? Heads up to the sound team very good quality on the show, especially how it came out on the video, i shed a tear and got goosebumps
I respectfully don’t think we’ll be getting a studio version out of respect for the band and the singer that passed, but wouldn’t that be great! :)
Same here
for real I need this
yeah we need studio version of they sing together
This cover was incredible. Beautiful cover and tribute to one of the best voices and overall best person in the genre. RIP Keaton.
Rest in peace Keaton. I haven't been able to listen to Too close to touch since he passed. This feels a like therapy. Thank you Bad omens

@@randybray7558the band never said they said it was due to a medical condition that he kept private
Same same
I tried to listen to their music again over the summer and couldn’t do it. I agree, this was definitely a form of therapy.
I have the same issue since Chester (Linkin Park) is gone, i just can't listen, it's so painfull
The way he says "hello" in the beginning hits me a certain way. You can feel the pain in how he has to introduce the band in place of Keaton. This cover couldn't have been done better by anyone else. R.I.P Keaton 🤟🖤

I didnt know he had passed. This hurts my soul. Sympathy and TCTT got me through some of my darkest times back in 2017.
He also got really good live towards the end of his life, and it was awesome to see him progress. So sad rip.
I came across them by accident a couple months before he past, still have stopped listening everyday
Eiley from their second album, is one of the most emotional songs I've ever heard

Noah can make any song sound as good as the original
May Keaton rest in peace 🖤
As someone who also knew Keaton, this is incredible and he was definitely with you on that stage every night
Here is the lyrics so we can sing along with them.
Take a step inside my mind
As my eyes are open wide
In my sleep I turn and toss
To rebuild the heart I lost
You can tell me what you want
Forming once and lovers lost
Paper thin your words they haunt my dreams
The seams have come undone
Don't you dare say I'm gonna make it
'Cause I don't believe a word you say
Don't you dare say I'm gonna make it
'Cause I don't believe a word you say
There's a sickness living inside me
You can spare me all your sympathy
Take a second of your time
Realize you're wasting mine
In the night I lie awake
Why rebuild a heart that breaks
You can tell me what you want
Forming once and lovers lost
Paper thin your words they haunt my dreams
The seams have come undone
Don't you dare say I'm gonna make it
'Cause I don't believe a word you say
There's a sickness living inside me
You can spare me all your sympathy
Just spare me all your sympathy
I'm sitting waiting on the sun to rise
I know it never will
It comes as no surprise
So won't you stare into my heart of lies
It looks so hungry now
It comes as no surprise
Don't you dare say I'm gonna make it
'Cause I don't believe a word you say
There's a sickness living inside me
You can spare me all your sympathy
You can spare me all your sympathy
Beautiful Lyrics ❤

I've seen hundreds of shows, some of the greats, and this was my favorite concert of all time. Unbelievable show.
Same! Out of all of the shows I have ever been to.. being at this one has topped all of it. I’ll never forget it!

Keaton was one of the best artists we ever had!
his passing like an open wound that will never heal!
Keaton was an incredible person! he was an angel! I’m so grateful for every minute of his songs. so grateful for the care he provided me through his music during a difficult time. he taught me a lot and there are not enough words to express my gratitude for everything he did.
he will always live in our hearts 🕊️🤍🤲🏼
thank you Bad Omens for this tribute!
Playing their hearts out 🥺💔
RIP KEATON PIERCE.
Cannot get over the choice to keep Keaton's vocals for part of the chorus. So fucking beautiful and a perfect tribute
I’m sobbing rn I love TCTT and Bad Omens, this is beautiful. Keaton’s voice will be heard forever and ever more, thank you for this!
I WILL ALWAYS CRY. I MISS YOU KEATON, THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING. YOUR MUSIC HELPED ME SO MUCH T_T
I just heard in this video that Keaton has died. I‘m shocked. He was such a good human being from what I’ve heard and he had such a hard time since his sister died. I‘m so heartbroken. Rest in Peace. I feel your empathy, Keaton. With all my heart. 😔
I listen over and over this cover, Noah's tribute is so moving
So blessed to have met Keaton at subterranean Chicago. Such a humble soul. Definitely teared up watching this tribute.
RIP Keaton, only got to see him once at Warped ‘16, and that was the first time I had ever even heard of the band. Nobody seemed to know who they were, but when they started performing everyone was collectively like “Wow, these guys are legit”.
one of the best moments i’ve experienced. thank you noah and bad omens for keeping his memory alive.
I teard up just hear this on youtube. Would have cried my soul out when i have heard that live. Thanks for your honor Bad Omens!
RIP Kreaton 🕊️♥️
I'm emotional just sitting on my computer listening to this. I can't even imagine how emotional it must have been for the band to get up there and play this song without Keaton. Truly incredible.
Noah is the only one that could do Keaton justice. Every aspect of how they performed this in incredible. "I'll be filling in for Keaton night" man 💔 that got me. RIP Keaton I know you and Eiley were there with them for this one 🙏
Too close to touch is one of my favorite bands and Keaton's voice is truly amazing, he will keep living on though all his music, may he Rest In Peace
Im crying rest in peace to a legend. Love both bands
Shivers, every single time that chorus hits. So fucking beautiful
the tears that automatically came to my eyes. seeing this live will always be special to me
I love this!! I would die for this song to come out just like this on Spotify and everything else. Both vocals mix so well and it's absolutely beautiful!
I am so honored to have seen this live. When I tell you I sobbed through the entire thing...Words cannot describe what this experience means to me.
I'm crying all the time when I watch the video...Emotional ...

Your music helped me a lot and you live on through it
When you come across a song and end up listening to it for hours . Thank you
I’ve been trying to avoid watching this, the way I started bawling listening to and watching this. Beautifully done.
RIP Keaton. I love that you guys are keeping his memory alive and I'm positive he's smiling down on you guys. This performance gives me the goosebumps and I can't get enough of it!
I miss my friend. Bad Omens you made me cry. I love this, you respect what Keaton accomplished! Thank You!!!!!!!!
I'm 61 and have been following Bad Omens for a while, this vid came up and I had no idea of Keatons passing. He was irreplaceable
Not only is this an emotional performance, it's just a phenomenal recording. Absolute perfection, keeping Keaton's vocals for a duet.
10 months since this song was released, and I still come back and watch this and tear up. RIP Keaton and Eiley 💚
I’ve watched this over and over and cry every time 😭 RIP Keaton 🕊️
R.I.P Brother, thank you for inspiring so many in your Life.
Forever Remembered.
Your words will never die,
Through your art and those lives you've touched, your spirit will live on.
I’ve had to come back to watch this video every day.
Hearing them do this live was so incredible. They put everything they have into performing this song and noah just does such an amazing job with it!!
