Hey I’m Josh from Adelaide, South Australia. I'm a proud father of 3 and passionate about heavy music.
I was the bass player for post-hardcore/alternative rock group Capulet from 2004-2012, releasing an album, EP and several demos.
Capulet were signed to Red Bull and the Taperjean Music Group alongside Closure in Moscow and The Mission in Motion.
Highlights of my music career were playing with amazing bands like Anberlin, Emery, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Haste the Day, Awaken I Am, and touring Australia several times.
I wasn’t the most technical bass player, but lived for performing on stage. I have always loved the process of song writing and the visual art that accompanies music.

Earlier this year on March 26th, 2022 - my friend Keaton Pierce passed away suddenly and unexpectedly due to a medical condition he had been dealing with privately.
Keaton sang in a band called Too Close To Touch, and was a close friend of ours ever since the summer of 2017 on Vans Warped Tour where we first met and spent so many nights together.
In addition to being my friend, he was someone I greatly admired as an artist, and he inspired me and the way I sing, and the way I make music to this day.
To keep his memory and the impact his art had on our band alive we’ve been playing their song Sympathy every night of this tour. While every night this is a very special part of the set - this night in particular was even more special because we were able to get all of the other members of TCTT, past and present, together again in Nashville, TN to perform “Sympathy” one more time.
I’d like to thank Kenny, Mason, Travis, and Thomas for coming and playing with us, and for allowing us to honor Keaton in this way on this tour.”

This truly is a beautiful tribute. If you watch other performances Noah usually brings another mic on stage with him to put next to his. Very powerful.
Noah uses 2 mics alot on other songs too but from what I can tell he uses post fx on some parts of some songs
I'm so glad someone else immediately went 'oh fuck it's a duet' bc I LOST IT the moment I realized it.
I was lucky enough to see BO play this on their headliner a few weeks ago and as soon as Noah brought out the second mic stand for Keaton, I started ugly crying. The way Noah put his heart into it, I don't know how he could perform without balling. I never got to see TCTT live so in a way it felt like I could see them through the show. It was incredible.
Agreed - don't know how Noah held it together night after night performing this song. But what a magnificent tribute to Keaton!
I knew they did this. I’d seen multiple videos of this from different shows, including this performance with the remaining members of TCTT. I still ugly cried when I saw it live.
I ugly cried when I first saw that video. Too close to touch is one of my favorite bands that helped me through a lot of hard times. When I heard Keaton had passed I was inconsolable. One of the greats. You will be missed forever and always Keaton. You’re with Eiley now.
I bawl every time I see this video. Keaton was incredible and the fact that they used Keaton in this made my heart happy. Noah is also just incredible. Ugh. Now I'm crying.
Love them both. Keaton was an amazing artist and his vocal technique was spot on, especially on the harsher clean vocals. This is an amazing and beautiful tribute.

This gets me every time I watch it. Keaton was almost EXACTLY one year older than me (our bdays are only days apart) and that makes me even sadder about him passing away when he did.

I figured out about Too Close To Touch only a few days after Keaton passed away, and I will forever be so sad I can’t see them live. I learned about them in perfect time to share them with a friend, who loved the song Eiley. She was 15 when she passed away later that year. I saw Eiley in her playlist and I started bawling. Their music has pulled me through so much, and learning I’m from the same town as Keaton, that I likely passed by him at some point in my life, it brought me even closer to their music. In Nerve Endings, when he talks about leaving his home for something greater, I *know* the home he left, and I can only imagine his emotions. Especially to leave for a city as shit as Louisville 🤣 I love their music, I’m thankful to live in a time where I can enjoy it endlessly, even if I’ll never see them live.

Been watching your videos for a while, love your content dude, thought I'd pop my head in as a massive fan of TCTT and Keaton, they are/were massively underrated. New found respect for Bad Omens too.
I was at this concert in Nashville it was cool that they brought out the band to play it with em.
Keaton's vocals are so unique and piercing. Been a huge fan of TCTT since the first time I saw them live opening for iPrevail in 2014. Keaton was in the crowd near me and I didn't realize who he was until later on. The band had this stuffed fish they were throwing into the crowd. It was so fun.
There’s an interview where Noah said that this song was a way for him to grieve. I have no clue how he holds it together
This song got me through so much. When I saw this cover live, took everything in me to not cry. RIP Keaton! ❤

Bro! It kills me my wife and I were in Nashville and actually ran into the guys from too close to touch! They were checking into the hotel the same time as us. But I didn’t even recognize them it took me a bit. I wish I would’ve said something and I wish we would’ve been at that show!!! But we were at the trinity of terror tour.

Man just now discovering TCTT and sympathy is my current favorite. Its awful that Keaton was taken this soon, but there are so many people who will honor the time and the music he created. When I learned about Keaton's passing it was a shock.
Somehow I had not seen any news about it. But then I wanted to show a friend one of there songs, and saw a comment about it.
Band was/is amazing. And Keaton was an insane singer. I really liked his flip between the clear and coarse.
Also, the song you speak of. Eiley.
That entire album is just insane. One long struggle with the loss of his sister, and then ending with that song where he just ask for an answer why she is gone.
And now he is gone to.
Sick to think about in that way.
Eiley is such a powerful song. Would love to see you eventually do a video on it

Was fortunate enough to see and meet them when they were on tour with IPrevail, nicest people, and I was so confused when they got a bigger pop than IPrevail. But, it didn’t take long to see why. Been a fan for nearly a decade now!
