    I own a Philodo H8 it will do 35 mph on a flat with a 210 lb rider on a flat with a full battery. top speed does drop a little when voltage drops. As far as range goes I have ridden 30 miles at PAS 4 which is 25 mph. Also to correct a mistake at 4:02 in the video the H8 has two 27 +/- 2 amp controllers NOT 22 amp like similar bikes. so it can draw up to 29 amps which at 48 volts is 1392 watts per motor, even higher on a full charge of 54.6 volts

    Dual motors absolutely add top speed. Mine does 26 on a single motor and 34 mph in all wheel with a 300 lb guy on it. I don't understand why everyone keeps saying duals don't add speed. It will leave a wired freedom from a dead stop or uphill with ease. I've made it about 40 miles with pedal assist on single motor. Although dual motor in really steep mountains has killed it in as little as 12 miles. Again, with a 300lb guy on it. I have about 400 miles on it so far. Excellent deal!

      I mean that would make sense, as one motor is helping to do the work of the other. So, better acceleration from the torque, plus it helps reduce the load on the other motor for higher revs, similar to if the bike were free running on a stand.

    Bought the Philodo H8 too because of the hype, ended up selling it when I got my Wired Freedom finally. It wasn't powerful enough to get up hills in the woods. The range was also really bad, like 25 miles, and my Wired gets 35-40. Also the frame was too jarring without any suspension

    One of my coworkers has the H8. we have ridden a few times. My Aventon Level tops out unlocked at 32 mph, and his H8 dual motor will go faster, per gps when i tried it in a tuck on flat ground I got 34 mph in both directions on our local rails to trails. Once it hits 26ish mph though those last few mph come on super slow. It will take about 1/4 mile to really get to speed. To be fair my Level takes longer than that to hit its 32mph top speed with its 500 watt single motor though.

    It looks like the Philodo H8 rear motor has the motor cable coming out the drive side. Old style, I think they are using old Bafang motors. The rear hub looks like the old g60, and not the new g62/g63. I wonder if they are actually 1000w nominal motors. It seems like they might be calling it 1000w because the controller is 22 amps and that’s the peak wattage. I question whether those are actual 1000w nominal motors, which would typically be paired with a 30 amp controller. They should have given both motors a 25 amp controller at least. Because a 22 amp controller is sized for a 500w ebike

    Hill climbing is where the phildo comes into its own. Absolutely destroys any hill you throw at it. I got the same bike under a different brand name, and I think the controllers are closer to 30amps each. Also mine has topped out at 36mph, and depends on how you ride it, but I quite easily get 30mile range on a charge

    I just went outside to check the controller above the 48v battery on my Philodo H8 and written on the controller is
    "BRUSHLESS DC Motor Controller" Maximum current 27+2a. I even watched "TailHappy TV" review titled " Is the CHEAPEST 35 MPH AWD Ebike Actually Good? I looked at the philodo twin motor but wanted full suspension, as the wired freedom is not available here in UK I went for the Engwe x24/x26. Both will do mph of over 30mph. Range is well overestimated I get about 40mile using pedal assist. Top speed does drain it very quick, I tend to keep to 20/25 mph as a top speed. On normal power. Sport mode is a bit of a joke only lasting for short bursts so i never really go for that.

    Yeah, I was once in a situation whereas I lost my DL....lol, that's a problem ! I didn't have electric to consider but I did find a
    Tomos moped w/ a 49.9cc motor @ 115 miles per gallon & it had an oil tank that fed the two stroke so no mixing. I rode it
    for 3 yrs. It cost me $1200 & I'd seriously consider another gas machine given that there are really no standards that've got
    these ebikes safe -n- reliable, yet? Another thing that's keeping me looking is that I'm waiting to see how States are gonna
    view all these different bikes? States will determine what must be tagged/licensed by motor size and/or speed capacity?
    The larger the wheels the better the control you'll have in an emergency so always consider that in your purchase. peace

    • @140theguy
      @140theguy 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I've had about a dozen or so pedal assist gas bikes and the electric bikes are literally a thousand times more reliable and lower on maintenance.

    • @user-dv7hb2sc9m
      @user-dv7hb2sc9m 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Mine had pedals but it was obvious that they weren't part of riding the one I owned ~ the 49.9cc's pretty much allowed me
      to ride w/ no State strings attached(Va/Mich), so I rode it. The only money I spent was I bought an after market muffler
      that got me up to about 42mph. So I never spent any maint cash but the vibration wound up opening up the built-in gas
      tank. It started leaking & I just let it go. I had made my time & got my DL back - Ohh, no more drinking/driving! I'm only
      looking at these b/c they are cool. I just found yesterday that lithium batteries might be dropping in price soon? We'll
      see about that one. Thanks for the testament on the ebikes, I like em' enough to be here. peace

    I have enjoyed mine for almost 14k miles, and yes it will do 35 or pretty close. I think mine tops out at 34.7.
    As far as range, it depends how you ride. I rode 58 miles and still had 2 bars over 1/2 left, I rode for 5 hours that day and documented it all. th-cam.com/video/z6IKP4Bn7Jw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=gNXy8xYe-7FaXjYt

    Really well explained. There's no magic when it comes to volts amps and watts and it's simple math. One thing that I'd like more explanation on, is motors and phases and how that works with controllers. Am I correct in thinking that you cannot hook up two motors to one controller, due to the fact that the motors will never stay in phase with each other, and one will always be out of phase with the controller causing poor performance, and a lot of heat. Any help on that would be appreciated. Thanks and keep up the great work.

    • @chuckwolf9869
      @chuckwolf9869 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      His math would be fine if he had the correct info. However the Philodo has Two 27 +/- 2 Amp controllers not the 22 amp ones he thinks for some reason.. these are 100o watt Continuous motors not peak. Peak output at 48 volts is 1392 watts at 48 volts per motor and will hit 1583 watts each on a full charge of 54.6 volts.

    I bought the Philodo H8 AWD, black and white color, before last christmas because it got alot of praise from reviews. My experience wasn't as pleasant. The front brake was rubbing against the rotor and the manual gears wouldn't shift down passed 4th gear right out the box. But I did get it up to 35 mph off a fresh charge.
    I got it from Amazon, shipped by them but still sold from Philodo and decided to send it back within my 30 day return window. It is a fast powerful bike, but nowhere near the quality of my 2024 Wired Freedom.
    Whoever commented that it's better than the Freedom is just wrong. Just look at the components alone and you'll clearly see the difference. I'm starting to be more selective when it comes to purchasing pre built ebikes now and realized it's much better to pay more upfront for the better quality that will reflect down the line.

    I have a Troxus Explorer, 48v Samsung, 20ah, 750w but the display shows 1000w peak. It will go 30mph and will go 40-60 miles on a charge. The Philodo should be able to do that too with 48v, 1000w, and 22ah battery. I wouldn't buy any bike without name brand cells.

It has 2, not one 22 Ah controllers and the total drow is approx 1800W according to my estimates. The battery is very good to carry this monster quite the long ride, trust me. It devours hills and climbs on everything. The Wired Freedom seems like a child-like bike compoared to the H8, to me personally.
