Thanks. The clips look the same as on my 1965 Dart rear window, at least from peeking underneath. I got one loose with little screwdrivers, but ordered the Lisle pliers for the rest. On mine, the stainless trim has extended tabs at each clip, so need to angle the plier teeth down to clear those tabs and get under the clips. Helps to blow out leaf crud and run a thin putty knife to cut any paint or silicone sealant.
Hey kick ass video. I tried to pull mine a couple years back and just gave up. Got back on the project and needed the windshield out. Once u understand the process its not too hard but when you don't understand how they work it sucks. Good vid!
Thanks for posting this and thanks for sharing. You had shared this on Facebook when I asked for help on my '73 Imperial. I just went to Amazon and ordered the tool for $8 and will start stripping the vinyl top next week.
Not sure if you guys gives a damn but if you guys are bored like me atm you can watch pretty much all the latest series on instaflixxer. I've been binge watching with my girlfriend these days =)
Hey Ashley. That's the exact reason I made it. I couldn't find anything on how to do this. So I fumbled through it. After I finished, I wanted to make sure there was some information out there to help people.
I hadn't done this for a long time and couldn't remember exactly how the clips released. These are very clear and simple instructions. I'm going to replace my arrowhead tool with a set of the pliers before proceeding.
Thanks, I was too afraid to attempt it without knowing first. I have all trim removed, except the back glass, and the trim that sits on top of the door running horizontal, next to the glass. It seems like I have to pull the window, so i can get to the screws, that run through the inside window weather stripping into the chrome trim from the side. Not the right place, but anybody know?

Nice 71 Moulding is patience and taking your time saves from damaging it. Having the right tools is a must.
Thank you soo much. Saved the trim on my C body Chrysler from the trash can!

Thanks for posting, this is very helpful! I have a 74 Charger that did not have the moldings, and this helped me see how they go on.

East Coast Classics, happy to help. I don't want anyone ruining their nice mouldings. They can be expensive.

@Lukas Ethan definitely, been watching on instaflixxer for since december myself :)
Thank You SO MUCH for posting. Took a pair of wire stripping pliers and ground them to work. . .had to come up with something on a Sunday.
+wattielookalike No problem. Glad it helped out.
This helped me out a lot since there are no books on how to remove chrome trimming on a classic car!

Great video. Very helpful. I'd never seen the pliers style only the other rigid type. They look way easier to use. Guess I'll be ordering a set.
Glad to help, Rob.

I wanted to make sure they were easy to follow Stubs. You have to save those vintage parts. Might not be able to find them.
Thanks, this is helpful. My ‘67 Imperial manual doesn’t have this detail.
thanks, about the same as brand X cars but nice to know.not much mopar specific vids out there
That's why I decided to make the video. Plus, there are fewer of the old-timers out there to get advice from.
Iceman2k10 - we are the oldsters now!!
Thanks for the info! Very helpful!
Great video thank you
You bet, Jonathan.
What about the side windows? Please help. Thanks
Thanks....just saved me a lot of frustration!
Glad to hear Wayne.
Thanks for the help.
I imagine it would be the same for a 69 300?
Will this work on a 68 or 69 body as well for trims
Yes it works on B bodies well also. Just be careful with the metal tool
against the windshield, it can chip or break the glass.
I got that one, is the back glass the same trick?
Yes William. The rear moulding is the same style.

That seven dollar tool SUCKS ? I've had much better results using an angled pick .
