Why specify indie? I don't know ANY other game developer that's made something this creative and unique. It may be the perfect example of what is special about videogames
The concept of "indie devs" it's only a way to see the amount of money behind the creators. There's a good quote from Quentin Tarantino about cinema, that's good for every part of creating arts: there's not high level cinema or low level cinema, but only good cinema and bad cinema.
I could write a whole ass essay on why Outer Wilds is the single greatest game I’ve ever had the pleasure of playing, but it would be nothing compared to what other people have said before me. To keep this short, I love this game, and it is a crime that this video only has 147 likes.
It doesn’t matter if others have said it before you. This game is all about harmony, each of the travelers play the same tune with little differences, but they’re only important when they play together. It’s the same with our praises for this game. Our words by ourselves can have meaning, but if we all talk about how great this game is, it’s more meaningful for the devs and anyone else who listens.
Outer wilds has a place in everything I write, see, do, make, think, say. This game, I have written, spoken and all other mediums about it more than anything else. Many essays worth
You know you love a game, when you have a whole solar system to see, and when you start the game, know exactly what direction to look and go straight for each planet and astro this solar system has.
The worst and the best thing of this game is that you cannot discover it twice. Once you've completed it, it does not have much sense to go back and complete it. You already know all the answers. I'm super hyped for the DLC coming out in sept. I've played so many games... No other game has given me so many chills down my spine. What a masterpiece.
@@spynderMK Yesss! Unfortunately I don't have much time to play, I'm still in the part where you don't understand almost anything, but it's all very intriguing!
Watching this video feels like going through withdrawals after finishing Echoes. Whatever Mobius has planned for their next project, I can't wait for it.
This game is one of the only things in life to really catch my attention in years. I recently played Stray completely knowledge blind, and I was so pleasantly surprised to find that Stray is also a product of Mobius. Enormous props to these people for making gaming interesting for me again.
This games soundtrack is simultaneously nostalgic, hopeful, and melancholy... Feels like it plays at the credit scene of childhood, and leads into the next chapter of your life. This game is on the list of gems that I recommend to all my friends because replaying it will never recapture the experience of the first time
Totally agree. I booted up the DLC just yesterday and 30 minutes in I was already mind blown. Sad thing is, I gifted this to 4 friends and none of them have touched it. Like guys this game was akin to a religious experience for me can you skip your literal 8000th game of league of legends to play a free game??? Sorry lol
A friend and I played it during the summer between finishing school and starting university. So it was indeed the soundtrack to a new chapter for us, amazing comment :D
When I beat the game, I didn't initially realize that you could shoot your Scout into the Eye (im assuming you shoot it into the Warp Hole in the Vessel that takes you to the Eye, since you lose connection once you enter the vortex hole thing, and you cant use your Scout in the Ancient Glade), and seeing the Scout fly by overhead as the Mantis critters roasted marshmallows around a Campfire I got such incredible chills.. Truly an amazing thing, that our technology survived. It made it!!
To say that this game is an experience that you have to experience for yourself is an understatement. To say that I wish I could forget everything about this game just so I could experience it all again is an understatement. To say that this game brought me back to wanting to play games and pulled me from a deep depression would be an understatement. There's a reason this game went from something that I only found out about from a youtube video that suggested that I play it to one of the games I value the most out of everything I've played in the entirety of my life. This game is absolutely a story worth telling, but I can't say anything about it without giving away big parts of the plot. This game is such a grand journey, and I just wish more people would play it through to the end.
If you havent already, go to the ash twin project, and hop into the warp core as it activates to send you back. Return to the machine and look around. Then let the cycle end.
Mobius has single-handedly solidified themselves as one of the top indie devs with Outer Wilds alone

@@lukasrockdriguez5230now that u played it we can agree that is 100x times better than the original game, right?
You can't save the universe in a day, but that's okay.
What matters is the journey and the friends we made along the way :)

just finished Echoes myself. Mobius are on another level lol. Accepting the Prisoner's strange otherworldy music into the song man. tears T_T
@@semisacred Literally everything about this games brings tears of beauty, joy and existential dread. I love it so much
Yeah stray’s pretty cool
I can't imagine the panic you just have felt trying to chase down your ship while holding the Advanced Warp Core!
Haha that is just the one from the black hole lab. Still panic inducing lol

Wait Mobius made Stray? Holy shit gunna play it immediately
Mobius didn't make stray, however they are under the same publisher, annapurna interactive
annapurna seems to be really good at publishing great games
I completed outer wilds 3 months ago and this video was absolutely beautiful
You excited for the DLC?
@@KirtisPrintsStuff yes!
this game went straight in my top three favorite game when i finished it
one of my top games period and I bought it 5x lol!
It took my number one spot from Undertale. Something younger me never would have thought would happen.

scout casually flying across the new universe

Triste porque acabou

Now the question is, does the base game or the DLC have the better story…
I think the dlc because the owlks were more interesting to me
