WOW This is beautiful, honestly. One detail that really caught my attention - The Prisoner's verse ends "I won't regret" while the background chorus sings "ever to regret"; going against the prevailing philosophy of the culture. Whereas Solanum's verse's last line, "Your faith and drive are always by my side" is in harmony (harmony of meaning, idk about actual musical harmony) with the background of "Our faith and drive are always by your side", showing how she is representing perfectly the Nomai philosophy. Both imprisoned in their own ways, one forever entombed by violating their culture's norms, one in stasis in the middle of what is literally a cultural pilgrimage, more or less. Never really thought too hard about the contrast between those two... it's super interesting!

I waited for something like this since I saw your Travelers video and now, in the 5th anniversary of the game... this is beatufiul. Thanks Rewatching it I just find it even more beautiful. It is really good. That last part made me cry... Many edits here but I'm a fan of how the Chorus on the prisoner's part can be interpreted to talk both about the OWlks and the Hearthian, guarding against the threat of the eye or the threat of the Owlks themselves. And in Solanum's part, I think the first part of the chorus is meant to talk to Solanum, the other Nomai telling her to make her own path, and then, the Nomai leaving her one last message as she is the sole survivor
