My son had a stroke during a very traumatic birth so in a way i understand (not the same way but similar as i also deal now with chronic illness) I also wanted to thank you for always linking stuff you enjoy below because its helped my family so much. We are in WA state and theres a TON of wildfires. I have severe asthma, My sons a preemie and has many other health issues and these have helped us soooo much. Im so happy we will have them through cold and flu season this year and just purchased them for my senior parents for christmas. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to bring positivity to chronic illness. It really really does bring us light.
I know your fear for your dad. My Grandpa (years of lack of proper diet when not eating grandma's cooking at work) had two stokes two years in a row. This last year he's finally gotten to be able to walk but has been stuck in a chair for so long :< I wish your father great luck and i hope you're doing well Jaquie!

I know How you feel my husband is in the Air Force and he's active duty and just left around 3 AM to help Irma victims . I don't know where he's going or when he'll be back . I'm proud of him and glad he's able to help 😊 makes me super sad though I can't be with him.
I am a stroke survivor. Had it in 2004 when I was 27. It's scary. And unfortunately there can be new complications even after you are better. So while scary, your dad is not alone in what he is going through. And if he even half ad strong /a fighter as you are, he will be ok. Glad to see you are doing well and are safe. So god bless. Hang tough! I'm praying for everyone in Florida. You are right about other natural disasters not giving advance notice. My cousin's home got hit by a tornado the first week of July. Thankfully, no one was home or injured. Possessions can be replaced. Lives are what matters.

I'm so scared. My moms boyfriends mom doesn't want to leave. I live in NY but she lives in Florida on the west coast. She refused to leave. She said god told her to stay. It is a mandatory evacuation. Living in that house is her, her husband, her daughter and her daughters baby. The baby is one. They won't leave. They have to leave. I'm so scared

Stay safe!! I'm on the west coast and I'm not evacuating so we're bunkering down all boarded up and have enough supplies to last us a week without power or food!! Just ride through this! :)) Edit: it's not a mandatory evacuation in my area and I hope it doesn't become one
I'm on the East coast of Florida and we didn't evacuate so we're gonna power through it. Hopefully I don't get flooded with the storm surges. Stay safe!!
Just be happy you are not on the east side of the storm. It os the dirty side. Hopefully people learned watching what happened in Houston being on the dirty side. Just stay positive about your father. My dad is almost 4 years post stroke. He was 64 when he had his stroke. My mom is in kidney failure from untreated hypertension.

Stay safe!! I'm on the west coast and I'm not evacuating so we're bunkering down all boarded up and have enough supplies to last us a week without power or food!! Just ride through this! :))
Edit: it's not a mandatory evacuation in my area and I hope it doesn't become one
I'm on the East coast of Florida and we didn't evacuate so we're gonna power through it. Hopefully I don't get flooded with the storm surges. Stay safe!!
Just be happy you are not on the east side of the storm. It os the dirty side. Hopefully people learned watching what happened in Houston being on the dirty side. Just stay positive about your father. My dad is almost 4 years post stroke. He was 64 when he had his stroke. My mom is in kidney failure from untreated hypertension.
