- Trying out my new ZD Racing Pirates V3 in cold, icy winter conditions. This is a beast of a 1/8th scale truggy and it really performs well when using a 4S lipo. Enjoy the video.

You can adjust punch which makes it easier to control from a standing start,
You will need the correct program card for your esc,
Changing the grease in your diffs to silicone oil will reduce the front lift and front tyres ballooning,
Plenty of videos on you tube showing how to do both,
Out of the box it has a 13 tooth pinion for those massive tyres, i will fit lighter standard buggy tyres and putting a bigger pinion on the motor, will make it faster and easier to drive,
I will be putting a 150 amp esc with a 4585 motor, running 6S and it should do 60 mph on grass.
i bought the one with the red chassis. the esc is kinda fckd so i bought the 150amp one, and obviously 2x 3s batteries. 4s looks insane, cant wait to try out 6s

You think without any mods to the rc car I can just slap in a 6s
has it held up good? thats wayyyyyyyyy more power then mine, I run a 120amp esc with 3s lipo. I always thought this rc truck had soooooooo much grip! i literally couldn't even get it to spin out when the tires were brand new. watching you run this on 4s it almost doesn't seem worth it to me. the loss of traction doesn't really justify using the 4s unless you figured out a way to get the car to stick better. thanks awesome video!
Your center diff has light oil put heavier oil and you will get more power to the rear wheels 💪

4500mah 3s lasts around 30-35 mins, 5200mah 4s lasts around 45 mins

Hi mate, yes it's a decent RC for the price, very enjoyable to drive. It handles 4s okay but the centre drive shafts do bend quite easily. I have the RTR version, yes.
@@Jimmy_TV thanks for the advice) what about the central drive shafts? from jumping? and another question… what parts would you recommend to order immediately with the RTR version…. to ride calmly
You're welcome :) . And yes, CDS' buckled a bit from some hard landings at a concrete skatepark. I would recommend ordering the spares that are available on Banggood. You can't get every part, but all the ones that are liable to breakage. Probably cost you about £60 for the lot.

Hi mate. Yeah sure. Length/width/height is 138*47*48
I have spent entire day getting this thing into running condition. All drive shafts were a "press" fit into the drive cups at he dog bones! The wheel driveshafts were the worst. Taking the car apart I had to Use a screwdriver to pry the cups a bit to get them out. My shafts are plated in a bronze/orange colour. I was able to remove the coating by filing and simply rotating the dog bones in the cups. Some of the coating was cut and a very thin sleeve slid off the pins. The black transmission shaft pins were not pressed symmetrically, again i had to correct that. Next are the diffs, the front one was so tight on the pinion/ring gear, I could count each tooth as it fell into another in a detent fashion, rear was also too tight. The sides of the differential housings (output coupling holes side) are not parallel, they are caved in (manufacturing/material defect). Due to this there is physical interference between the inner wall of the housing and the differential plastic hub (opposite ring gear). I had to file down the cup a little, use three shims to get some clearance here as well as get the pinion/ring gear to mash well. All screws into aluminium were just drenched in thread locker, had to use heat. Same thread locker was apply onto my front plastic C mount by carelessness, eating away at the plastic and causing lots of play at the pivot ball. The motor mount is separate from the centre diff carrier, makes for a messy gear lash adjustment, and keeping the gears parallel is a pain. Looks like ESC is not programable??? Yes comes with Dumborc radio, which is great. Body came smashed as the receiver was sitting loose on top of the car, two days and no response from Banggood, they closed my order and now it looks like it is mission impossible to get into contact with them. I only got this car ($350 usd delivered, no batt) because I live in Indonesia and Arrma products are x2 or more western prices. Yes it has lots of good looking components, the above issues however makes it a project and deffenetlyf not RTR, yes it ran out of the box but after purchase I did more digging and found vids showing all these issues. So $35 bucks of shims, a new body and a day of work I have a what should have came in the box. I am done with Chinese shit (have 5 now), the quality is not there. With this one, going up in price and seeing nice looking components I gave them one more and last try. Feel the temp on your diff input shafts after running it a bit. Are they hot? The power difference could be your diff oil, or the fact that the rear diff is so stiff. Anyways hope it keeps running for you.

In the uk just takes long...waiting 2-3 weeks for the esc, but it did get shipped this morning
