Before this, the sobos would buy inflatables and float across. The nobos would float them back. We got to see so many different kinds of fun pool toys.

Honestly impressed with Irish sewing their shoes back together on trail. Like…..holy shit. I never even thought about bringing a needle and thread on a long hike. Their resourcefulness is impressive.

You are kicking it & you have my admiration for hiking with wet feet & shoes. The state of disrepair the trail runner shoes you showed was nuts, I me nuts. Boy would I enjoy sitting across from you to hear you reminisce after you have completed the AT. You are a very word catching story teller a master words smith & just a delightful life force. ❤😊

Another awesome video. Gotta be fun to be home and putting these last few video's together. At least your feet are dry. Thanks so much for taking us along with you. You bring a fresh perspective and wonderful outlook to hiking the AT.

I know you summitted Mt. Katahdin and are happily home with no need for us to cheer you on anymore but I do enjoy seeing what's happening.

The ever widening of trails due to folks avoiding obstacles is called trail-braiding. From above you can clearly see the narrow-wide-narrow that looks just like a braid. It's great that you just go right down the middle!

I want you to know how amazing you are…. Originally, you were doing about 8.75 miles per day, which would have had you completing in OCTOBER. By your day 76, you were averaging 10.82 miles per day, which bumped your approximate finish date up into late August.
By day 142, your overall average was 12.25 miles per day….
Keep in mind, these averages included your zero days… which means you were REALLY making big miles.
Moral of the story- you freaking ROCKED it!
Do you wake up in the mornings now and feel antsy because you aren’t walking anywhere?

That raining into your tent sounds miserable. You have done a marvelous job handling the wetness.

“The trail is a watery mud pit.” We were not nearly as tired of hearing it than you were probably of saying it! 😊😊

Another great video. What a journey, what an adventure❤. I’d be really interested how you look after your feet as they are wet for prolonged periods. Do you use talc? 🧐
