I love that all of them has this repeated melody. It makes feel the Harbingers connected. And that melody is epic as hell. Thank you for creating this video.
love how the song fits the characters so much. In childe's theme you can feel the thrill of battle. In signora's theme, there's this fury but at the same time just a pinch of sadness, probably for her loved one. and in scaramouche's theme you can just feel how much he hates literally EVERYONE lmao. he just wants to watch the world burn but unlike childe, its not cuz he likes fighting, its cuz of the many times others betrayed him. like if you swapped signora's theme with scara's it would make way less sense
scaras music really shows his true goals. his fatui portion is shorter and less pronounced than the other two, especially now with it being finished, which shows that his part in the fatui was only a way to achieve his own goal
Here's another interesting fact. Childe is the only one here that doesn't have any vocals in his Fatui motif theme. He's also the only harbinger that has no vocals in his first phase theme
@@Gray42504That was because Childe's transformation is derived from Abyssal power, as he is blessed by The Will of the Abyss itself during his stay there under tutelage of his master, Skirk. I find it fascinating that Scara is the only one who changes the theme. Considering his different background to the Harbingers than most, it makes perfect sense.
Fischl's theme who played in her first trailer and again in her story cutscene for the Golden Apple Archipelago has this leitmotif too. Maybe the Fatui theme was created by La Signora since she was a singer? Probably yes, that's why Columbina is singing it, she was close to Signora. Actually, that first 'fatui leitmotif' on scaramouche's boss theme is Ominous fandango, his own theme. it sounds a lot like the fatui melody, but it ends low instead of high. the actual fatui melody comes about halfway into the song, though
This leitmotif sounds like it took inspiration from “deus irae”, a centuries old melody that is often used to symbolize death. It’s interesting if this were the case as this theme fits really well with the harbingers who are associated with death and old beings (500 year old legacy)
Childe: wailing electric guitar. Excitement, amped up for battle. It’s all about the thrill of a fight to the death Signora: a choral dirge. Scaramouche's motif ending sounds different and perhaps will be the only one sounded individual, simbolizing his abandonment from the true objectives of the Fatui.
This motif plays in the Signora defeat cutscene alongside Raiden's theme's motif. They really add to the tension in the cutscene, an absolute masterpiece in terms of using music to make a cutscene more dramatic.
