OMG I've been dealing with anxiety issues for a while now but so much more in the past few months 😞. I've had panic attacks while driving and at work which terrified me. I almost passed out on two occasions.. if you read this, know you're not alone. I need to remember this also
How are u coping? It’s been two months now for me, I wake up each morning feeling so depressed and like no more joy in the world but I’m fighting it.I want to be my old self again.I managed my panic attacks but the low mood is killing me and its like crawling from my heart to my brain.
I found quitting coffee helped How do you deal with anxiety in a big social function I have one coming up and am so anxious I not used to be pre Covid I not want to take anti anxiety meds as they have side effects Are you ok now ?
I learned this technique in therapy years ago and had completely forgotten about it until this video popped up during a bad anxiety attack. Thank you for this!
I was just stuck in a full send anxiety attack for over an hour. This along with focused, controlled breathing stopped it completely within 2 minutes. Amazing, thank you. ❤
@dignifieddan.4198 Telling myself that everything is OK, it's just anxiety and it will pass. Actually saying it out loud. Also focusing on my body, shoulders etc and trying to relax them. Also a big one, breathing out slower and longer than I'm breathing in and letting each breath begin in the stomach rather than the chest. We all tend to " overbreathe and not realize it during anxiety attacks.
@@kennyd2600 those are all good ideas man. It’s definitely a journey. I’m 33 and I’ve had GAD my whole life but it’s only been real bad the last few months. I like to workout so that helps, but when I’m not, I’ve been trying Therapy also. And even just mindfulness. For me it was health anxiety which hit hard for my mental health but I’m trying to use all of this coping skills to overcome it and move forward. I like the belly breathing exercises though !
Thank you so much! I was been cure pannic attack for 7 years but I start having pannic attack in the train from yesterday and also today it really help me.
I was having such a bad anxiety attack. I was crying, breathing super heavily my heart was pounding so hard, I couldn't see anymore, and I was shaking so much. And my self destructing thoughts were just making it worse. So I searched for a video to calm myself down and found this. I calmed down a bit within five minutes, and I completely calmed down in just a few more minutes. Thank you so much ❤ Edit : After a month, I still use this technique when I feel the anxiety attack coming, it probably saved me lots of tears and fainting episodes so far. Thank you
THIS WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've become claustrophobic (all of a sudden out of nowhere) and now I get intense anxiety on planes and this helped me go through a flight smoothly even through huge turbulences! I cannot thank you enough 😢❤🎉
This was helpful i have such bad anxiety and panic attacks that i just feel dizzy all day and jittery i cant seem too stop the shaky hands and constant thoughts in my head
I was just having a horrible anxiety attack and went to hear a prayer for it and then your video came and it’s taken a bit of weight off of it…. It’s not fully gone but it’s bearable now thank you very much, thank God too❤
holy shit !!!! i'd heard abt this technique bot only in trauma therapy but i just tried it for a couple of minuted and it relaxed me completely and so fast!! i only have a bit of chest tightness left but it feels like nothing compared to how i felt earlier. this has never happened to me before. literally i was well into an hour of listening to different meditations and barely being able to relax but this did it for me. i expect ill have to do this technique a couple more times today but feeling the effect once made me feel so much better and like i have things under control. anyway thank you so much for posting this i owe you sm ❤️😭
this was crazy, panicked and searched for a youtube video trying to find consonance or help, something! i did this for, i kid you not, 15 seconds, and i felt like i could finally get a full breath in, thank you so much for sharing
Thank you, every time i have a panic attack I look up videos on how to calm them, none of them work, but then I was scrolling and found you, I’ve been struggling with anxiety since I was 4 years old, I have emetephobia , (fear of throwing up) But you have helped me so much so I just wanted to say thanks 😊❤
I have been suffering with anxiety my whole life. Since childhood. I just was suffering one for two hours and this helped a lot. I watched a lot of your videos about it and they help so much.
Same here everyone one in my house is asleep and I feel so alone, like I cannot speak to anyone. I’m only 15 and I know it sounds crazy that I have panic attacks but I do. I feel that it helps me to understand that I am not the only one going through this and I hope what ever issues your dealing with, you overcome
Thank you so much. I get panic attacks A LOT and I'm only 11. My first panic attack was when I was 9 and according to my record I have had over 800 since then. They are so scary. The worst was at grade 5 camp. We were 2 and a half hours away from home and it was 1:00 am. Everyone was asleep and I couldn't talk. Thank god for my friend who heard me crying and woke up. She got the teacher at just the right time. I blacked out just as the teacher walked in. They took me to the nearest doctor and called my parents. Scariest moment of my life
I was having a very bad panic attack about 5 or 10 mins ago and this was the first video recommended.....it reaĺly helped me fight my way out...Thank you
Thanks you helped while I was having a panic attack right now..I still feel a little shock but I’m a lot calmer now before I tried this I felt like everything was a flash I couldn’t think well I was thinking about everything at once and I didn’t know what to do right now except cry..I even tried Self-Harm but after this video I feel a lot better
i had an anxiety earlier in the day day so i’ve been a little off the whole day so i looked up how to calm down and saw this. it had helped me so much. i’ll definitely remember this for the future.

I work tech support and the elderly callers and irate people just gave me the first panic attack after years in this field. I have thanatophobia and whenever I think of dying I start to get overwhelmed and I can’t breath and I start to cry and it is sorta like a panic attack basically, so thank you so much!
Necrophobia is the fear of the dead and encompasses related associations like bodies, graves and funeral parlors, whereas thanatophobia is the fear of your own death. Necrophobia typically develops in children who have experienced a traumatic life event, such as a family member’s death.
I been in so many hospitals and I had seen son many doctors and my question is Why they never say anything about thanatophobia and Necrophobia? Wow very disappointed. Thanks to you I was able to find these terms. I suffered from both of these terms way back.
@@edilp23can you also have necrophobia without a traumatic event related to death (I definitely have trauma a but I don’t think it’s directly related to death) because I have a fear of death overall (sometimes I get a panic attack from my own/other people bodies, I can’t eat any dead animals and it’s become a obsession to be 100% fully vegetarian. And a lot of my depression and anxiety is related to my fear of death overall, but I’m not sure what name to use, since it’s not only my own death or even actually dying but I had this fear before the first person in my family died

I was having a panic attacks because my chest rly hurts so i searched up in google and then they said u might have heart attack so i panicked and felt i was literally dying, tbh my chest is still hurts idk but thank u for the video ❤❤
Another thing I’ve noticed, is that when I’m feeling very stressed out, I will intentionally, and slowly, move different parts of my body, until they’ve fully relaxed. I don’t do it forcefully, either.
I have different kinds of panic attacks lately. One when I’m alone, one when I’m in a closed space and one when I’m in a crowded place or people are talking loudly.
Was freaking out (internally) at home at night, terrible paranoia, this helped. Stopped thinking the scary thoughts was a good distraction and broke me out of the freezing up. (Something to focus on, plus it gets me moving, stops me staying tense and still for god knows how long, always aches after too so it's nice to break it up before that becomes an issue) Tho admittedly at first I was really scared to even move or make noise, was doing it super quiet and barely breathed, but after I while I wasn't *as* afraid, was still scared but hey, takes awhile for it to wear off. Much more relaxed now, bit jumpy, but at least I ain't freaking out. Dunno how soon I'll be able to sleep tho, *that* might take some time.
