- Hi all. In this video I will be completing the TT-01 E Man TGS truck and taking it for a little spin.
I'm going to do a separate run video to talk more about how it performed. Sufficing to say that it's quite speedy and rather fun. As ever thank you for watching. Special thanks to Pete Smith of CW-01 Creations who got me the kit. Please like and comment and all that :-)

Pete, Can I ask what Speed controller,Transmitter and Receiver you use. My standard speed controller I got with the Sand Scorcher seems to stop the model from going into reverse quickly when going forward. The car is almost undriveable. In my old rough rider years ago you could put it into reverse and it would almost stop it dead.
@@TITANICSI Hi there. With the very old Tamiyas you had the analogue speed controllers operated by a servo and you could indeed slam it from forward to reverse. The ESC's usually go from forward to brake the first time you push the trigger away then to reverse the second time you push the trigger away. This one has the Razer Ten Brushless set in. On the brushed cars I tend to use the Hobbywing 1060 ones. They do have a setting to go from forwards directly into reverse but I think that it's not as brutal as the old analogue ones. I don't think the radio gear makes much difference. I use cheap ones like Flysky FS-GT2 and the DumboRC one.
@@PeteWylieRC Ok Pete thanks that’s great I’ll try the Hobbywing 1060 and see if that improves. Yes my one atm hardly brakes. In fact I hit things before it stops. I might try a standard transmitter as I’m not a fan of the steering wheel ones. Thanks for replying Pete 👍

@@carlbModels yeah it was good to put together something slightly different. Would be great to race a few of these together. Don't know if anyone makes bigger ones but 1/10 suits me in terms of the size of my work area.
Done a great job on this Pete. The paint gets expensive when layering with those little Tamiya can's which always gets me. Loving that colour. 👍🏼
Hiya Damian. Yeah the size of the little Tamiya tins is annoying but it has to be done as I think they make the best lexan paint. I was pleased with the result with this one. Thanks for watching mate. Hope you are ok 😃

Hi Pete oh yes, what a blinding truck. That blue really works too and wow! That was a lot of work on that body, with the pieces, the masking, painting, backing, then repainting, decals, phew! Hiya John. Yes I generally go for the box art unless I have another idea! It does all go together nicely with the red bits and stickers. A bit of work getting it all together but enjoyable. I was pretty impressed with how I was able to run it over the grass and dirt. The chassis does fill up with crap as you'll see when I get the run video done. @@PeteWylieRC oh, I’ve taken you advice my Guru 😊😁😉bought a HobbyWing 10BL60 ESC, although is say sensored, it can also run sensorless. Going to see, if that cures that terrible cogging from that crappy Banggood shite! 😊😁😉😂🤣oops language Timothy! 🤣😊😁😉. If that doesn’t work, I’ll buy another brushless motor, at least I’ll have a decent ESC to modulate it. 😊😁😉I’ll keep you posted. Take care and best wishes 😊😁😉
Ah I hope it works out with the ESC. Hobbywing are a proper brand so ought to be fine. Like I was saying those Razer Ten ones are good and they do say powered by Hobbywing on the box. I look forward to seeing your truck blasting around. Best wishes mate 😁

Yeah it came out pretty well. It's certainly quite quick with the brushless set. Oh I wasn't too happy with it going over but these meant to be used and it was bound to happen. Many thanks for your great comments 👍

Hello mate and what a cracking video you have for us on a Friday night after another week at work! Really enjoyed it as usual, but after seeing the amount of work (and paint!) needed to get the beautiful body done, I'm in two minds about getting one now! Haha, but if I all of a sudden get a bit more time on my hands, I just might go for it (nudge, nudge, wink, wink!) The next video you have lined up with all those tyre tests is a fantastic idea and I will have to copy you for sure! Looking forward to that... Wishing you a lovely evening and weekend my good mate! Hiya matey. Oh it's only a few tins of paint. Don't spoil the ship for a hapeth of tar I always say? Anyway I was fairly impressed with how well this went on the mild off road. I thought the body would dig in at the front more than it did. Probably need a rally body to beat around with for this. Ah those weeks at work will soon be a distant memory my friend. You will have a lovely time in your retirement I'm sure. Anyway I'm at a music event in the park near us. It's all tribute bands. Mostly pretty good although not as much my taste as the Ibiza anthems last week. The beer is making it all much better. Queen tribute next. I must get to the dance floor with my hands aloft. Yeah I must admit I'd not thought of this one until Pete bought it for me 😃 The only thing is that although you can run it off road it's not entirely suited to it so there are limited places to run it. Oh yeah I did see a message but didn't know if it was genuine. I'll have a look later. Cheers 😁
That paint job is beautiful! Stickers are so much fun, extremely satisfying, lol. What's with backing your paint with silver? I've heard/seen/done white, but not silver. Thanks for the hard work, great vid.
Hi there. I did try white behind red one time but I thought it made the colour a bit pale rather than rich red. I think that white goes well behind very bright colours like the fluorescent ones. I guess it would be worth doing a little tester on a spare bit of lexan to see which comes out best. Many thanks indeed for your kind comments. Very much appreciated 😁

Hiya Pete. Yeah it turned out ok didn't it? Thank you do much for this one mate. It provided many hours of building fun and some more hours of driving fun. Goes well on the really short grass at the golf course. I think that Holmsley is too lumpy and the body would catch and get damaged Ha yeah I did wonder how it would be with a trailer on. I don't think it would stay upright for long. Anyway I got your email which I will reply to in a bit. Your projects are looking great. Cheers for watching the vid 😁
