    I think smoke launcher belong into A tier because the smoke very often means th difference between saving a vehicle or not which can be game deciding . Half track upgrade is really a shame I wish it would be a lot cheaper and provide more bonus for the late game eg th 20mm should have the same power as th SdKfz 232 in the game it's the same gun plus it was able to be used as AA to with that turret. Th mobile mortar is actually quite nice but overall it's to expensive vs the Leichtes Infanteriegeschuetz

      I could see that being at A tier in the smaller game modes like 1v1 :D
      It has to compete with squad lead and I think that upgraded pgren with combined armed are amazing. Also, I love the flak and I rarely use smoke with the flak.

    The smoke upgrade with stugs spam is SSSS tier. It gives them smoke launcher and self smoke, with seperate cooldowns.
    Also it saves kettenkrad from mine insta kill and AA truck from 2 AT gun wipe.

    When they nerfed passive repair and buffed the infantry repair upgrade, I just sort of assumed since passive repairs were so expensive that infantry repairs were the better option. But breaking it down like this with maths, I see that it remains the other way around even after the nerf. Very informative, thank you.

      It's still amazing after the nerfed. 6HP/s is amazing as a pio squad has 8HP/s rate.

    How does this video aged in patch 1.3?
    In 1.3, the passive abilities stats are now shown ingame!
    - The additional XP from VSL is good, but the harder to hit portion is actually a damage mitigation! (this part doesn't age well)
    - The penetration of VG is accurate.
    - The 100% SFD ages well
    - The repair rate for engineers were standardized a few patches ago (need a bit more testing)

    Veteran Squad Leaders my beloved.
    As a firm believer of DAK Panzergrens, these guys are a menace when used to their full advantage (Combined Arms + VSL).
    Increased move speed which makes dodging nades, flanking, and even getting out of firing cones while suppressed easier. All the while applies even when in combat. Slightly stacks with the Medical Trucks Vet 1 supplies bonus (Barely noticeable but just wanted to mention). Increased grenade and snare range (the farthest snare range too). Genuinely really good but people often don't see it due to treating them as regular infantry like in other factions.
    They are like my favorite T0 unit the second being the Kradshutzen (Tracer rounds go brr and pairing it with a Flak Truck is just saucy).

      I agreed! A lot of DAK player do not take advanrage of the passive, and just dive their 250s to death.

    2 notes here to add to the upgrades
    1- the HP increase from VSP and ERK aplyes to all vehicles, and i mean *All* vehicles, so if you recover a enemy tank it can have up to 120HP more than the enemy could.
    and 2- the rapid advance capture bonus also aplyes to all vehicles, again, if you recover anything they will also be able to cap (keep it in mind since it also aplyes to stuff such as 250s, in case you are in late game but dosen't go for armored reservers [which btw is never recomended due to insane price both for the upgrade and the units] you can use those extra 250 to cap points since you allready gona have a medical truck at base {if you don't you must be doing something wrong})
    i know recovery vehicles are not meta and mostly for fun and a refreshing experience (btw i recomend, 100% of matches i played even with some very high ranking and competitive friends of mine said that seeing me using the recovery vehicle was a "refreshing and cool experience" even when it was a lost)

      That's just cheat mode things. The bonuses reapply when you gain ownership of the unit. For instance, when u spawn a unit, the upgrade applies to it, then if u gives it to enemy and then get it back it reapply again.
      Also, when u recovered a vehicle the upgrade refreshes and the unit is counted as a new unit. I tried to see if it is broken but Lelic got it covered.

      @@WilllTHENOOBz no no no. i got 2 things to prove it that it happens (tho no images or vids so just take the world for it)
      1- the way of the test i did was: spawn the vehicle as ENEMY owned (ex: crusader with 600HP) then i putted to kill and then recovered with my truck (which would be in standard gameplay) and it came back with 760 (this was pre-patch btw)
      and 2- one of my matches on multiplayer very recently i recoved a chaffe (480HP) and when i checked its HP for repairs it was at 600 (120 more).
      this means that the upgrade DOES aply to all vehicles due to even when recovering enemy ones it gives it extra HP.
      tho i will conduct more testing to see if recovered vehicles spawn with they standard HP if not with upgrades or not, i will come with info soon.

      @@Robyn_Bank oh thats whay you meant. Yes! the upgrade applies to all vehicles.
      I thought you were trying re-stacking the upgrade as that was what I was trying to do.
      Back then, I noticed that everytime i gain the ownership of unit in cheat mod, the HP stacks, so I wanted to dupe that by recover my own vehicles rack but that doesnt work!
      I miss understood

      yea you just need to give ownership and give it back, btw i bet you could make some wacky stuff in cheatcommands with that (ACE Kratszshuten with 8000HP commanded by Rommel himself!)

      @@WilllTHENOOBz With my experience, DAK needs to have combined arms for their infantry in engagements at all times or else you just suffer to much manpower loss.
      Early half track is worth the cost because you save on reinforcement cost later on since it seems to give your inf a defensive and offensive bonus. But I don't have time to do the number crunching.

    Good video. Appreciate the research time invested. Music got a little too loud at times. Would have liked to see if Veteran Squad Leaders provide the same decreased chance to hit to all infantry, including italian infantry.

    dosen't the VSL Vet increase and TSR bonuses actualy affects all units?
    some of my own testing i did with cheat commands i found out that if you give a inf unit 500XP it actualy gets 625 (25% more), but the funny thing is... it also aplyes to different faction units, such as foot guards.
    did you do the test with other units besides the Pgrens? sometimes tooltips can be a bit missleading.
    also when i did the tests myself the units with VSL upgrade usualy had a 20-30% better combat performace than the non upgraded unit, usualy winning combats more offen.

      I did not just giving them 500 XP. I tested by using individual unit. If you make them invulnerable, they will not gain XP when taking damage, then i just observe the XP bar.
      I only use Pgren because they have a unique combined arms passive ability: Pgren combined arms vs combined arms
      No, that just RNG, VSL does not give size reduction. It only enhances the size reduction bonuses from Pgren combined arms. (try larger sample size)

      @@WilllTHENOOBz gona keep that in mind and i will run extra tests, again i did combat tests as well, both sides vulnerable to bullets, and with units not even available to DAK such as commandos.
      and they actualy did gain much more vet than they conterparts, being able to reach vet 1 earlyer than non VSL units
      btw i think that what is happening is that the Vet gain must be aplying to all, in return units gain vet in combat faster than usual, resulting in 1 sided fights
      and if TS is affected by Vet bonuses, that means that most inf in the game will be tougher the moment they reach vet 1 (due to TS being in almost all units first Vet bonus)
      but yea, thx for the quick reply, i will need to do more extense testing.

      it seems that the Vet TS bonus does not aply to all units (or mayby i heard wrong and it only aply to CA bonus let me know if it is only CA)
      BUT i can confirm that it does aply the vet bonus to all units
      i did a very easy and simple test, basically i took a squad of foot guards and placed to fight the other
      the other wouldn't atack and instead would just stand in there and take the punishing, btw i did in the way of spawning the enemy unit direcly instead of converting to enemy due to VSL bonuses aplying when converted
      the one with VSL gained a full vet + 450+- extra, while in the case of the non VSL it gained a full vet + 69 extra
      btw you gotta remember *Foot Guards* it would be unobitainable withouth cheat commands, and if it aplyes to a unit not even from the faction then it MUST aply to all units.
      the Vet TS test i took LMG commandos since they are usualy a 50/50 in the test 2/3 times the non VSL won with same Vet as the one with said upgrade (Vet3 so it wouldn't change the outcome due to no vet gain)
      i did again but this time vet 0 both sides, and now 1/3 times the enemy won (confirming that LMG commandos are very 50/50 on 1v1) as well no side achieved vet 1 before getting wiped so its all fine.
      i can confirm that the vet bonus does aply to all but that the TS seems to only affect CA bonus. or it is misleading? would need even more testing but its 21:00 here and i kinda wanna rest rn.

      In case you are testing for the size change, you should go by model instead os squad as a whole bc there are more variables due to the nber of model
      I'm also testing the CA for other units for my next vid atm :)

    Capping with vehicles makes that upgrade at least A tier. When the allies lean too heavy into arty, capping the vp with your tiger is extremely beneficial.

      (imo) The fuel cost for upgrades could further delay the tank for DAK, and Brit could already rush Matilda by 18min in 2v2 and 13min in 4v4 already.

    Pretty much i always try to research your S tier. Im disappointed with the preference of half track upgrade. Seems I was wasting my money

      Now, I don't suicide my 250 nor do I upgrade it. Just keep it nearby pengren so they get the combined arms, and then use the money to get the the squad lead :)
