I could never understand the operation of a dozer. My take on it is that it can only push so much in front if it ie lets say a blade full after this all the material falls off the sides making two high ridges
no reason to boil the dirt over the blade all the way down the grade. just get a full blade and carry it and you wont be spining the tracks for no reason and wasting fuel
boil dirt over the blade all the down the grade ? where did you see that ? can you see the trail correctly ? yes, when steered left, I spilled "some" dirt …………..I can tell you have never pushed dirt effectively .
You can only get so much in front of you, remove the down pressure and grab a gear. If you start to lose the load, stop go get another and pick up the one you left. Always, always have a full blade at the end of your push. Ran dozers for the last 50+ years and have run the majority of hands off because they didn’t have a clue how to really move dirt.

If you look ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I only had 1/3 blade at end of push collecting dirt.
