I remember being kid with my dad. All these beautiful machines cutting grade. Spent my summers with the mechanics greasing snd fueling these big csts!!! Thank you dad for the memories!!
Same here brother, but on a strip mining jobs, big stuff there. And road coal trucks with my uncle and cousins, no wonder I still have diesel running through me. Mack trucks and Cat equipment, the brands that built this country, along with others of course but these are my favorites
It's incredible how quickly you got it started, and it seemed like it was just running and shut it off for a lunch break? Who ever built that engine knew how to do it well
Reliable, unstoppable brute power. The D9G can do anything. Cut a new logging road, level a mountain or squish every Prius on the planet. Take your pick!
Love your channel! I think that I've been a subscriber for almost a year now. Brings back fond memories of working with my Grand Dad, my Dad and my brothers, farming here in the the greater Salt River Valley. My Grandfather moved from California to Phoenix in the early 1940's and continued his earthmoving, farming and custom tillage business. I want to go on and on rather, I must say seeing those vise grips on the battery post was always an excellent quick temporary fix. I can't reiterate enough how much I enjoy ALL Caterpillar brand crawlers, tractors etc. Warmest Regards from Chandler, Az.
That thing is just massive and powerful! It must have been fun to clear land with such a beast? Also you sure look like you know how to operate equipment!
I remember helping dad weld new growser bars on the tracks of one these. Took all day, cutting and grinding the old bars or what was left of them off, welding new ones on.
Ferdinand Brown ,Hi,I saw your comment and started laughing.I've always wanted one as well. I would dig a hole in the lot next door ,bury it and then dig another. I wouldn't tell my wife until after I bought it. Better to ask for forgiveness than permission.
@@edwardglamuzina3421 lol.you are correct, just take her for a ride up in a mountain and show her what it can do. She would want to go for a ride every weekend after that.
They were a great dozer! I worked on many engines at Ohio machinery years ago. I bet it would be close to 100,000 dollars for a major engine overhaul today..
YEAH i OPERATED D6-CM D6-D, OLD ALBIN BARFLING WHEELED LOADERS, VOIGHT WHEELED EXCAVATOR (STEEL WHEELS WITH IRON CHUNKY SPIKES) AND OLD CAT 17-K GRADER THAT IF YOU WEREN'T CAREFUL, IT BREAK YOUR WRITS
Awake of the monster, never tired to hear that ggrrooowwl at start and extrem low idle under pressure. Old things can break down, sh"t happens, hope it's fixed?
I think I have a dumb question: Is this a 4-way blade? In other words, does it tilt at all? I can see there are hydraulic cylinders on each side so it seems possible if they can work independently, but all I can see in the video is lifting straight up and down. Thanks!
love the old machines but hey take it easy on turns as I can turn much smother with a old one like this. cought hell if I tore up ground where I worked. but love to see any old one run.
Spoiler alert, man takes dozer for drive, I didn’t notice it being unleashed on anything except a small area of turf, barely changed the engine note, the engine was working harder to do a tight turn! Unleash it next time, push a blade full of dirt, make the engine note change to show its working harder than just driving! 🤷♂️🤷♂️

Where was the "unleashed" part of the video, I'll have to go back and watch it, because all I saw was driving.

Your story's sounds familiar
Love watching the Big Yellow Giants wake up
Makes me think of that ABC made for TV movie Killdozer, that was a D9 CAT.
It's incredible how quickly you got it started, and it seemed like it was just running and shut it off for a lunch break? Who ever built that engine knew how to do it well

Has to be a great feeling to be in control of so much power.
Its an incredible feeling that the old 9gs give off
The sound off that engine is awesome. Great to see the old D9s still working. Super video 👍

Man... what a machine.
Takes me back to my childhood watching this beats in action.
That caterpillar bulldozer sounds awesome with that powerful turbo

GREAT OLD TRACTORS
That thing is just massive and powerful! It must have been fun to clear land with such a beast? Also you sure look like you know how to operate equipment!
Spent a lot of hours on D9G push tractor. What a hoss
Damn love to be sitting in that old beauty doing some grade work. Great sound too.
Older model big Cats have a "purr" like nothing else!

Шланг лопнул, бывает.
Sure good to see those older machines still working the big tractor sure sounds good
best sounding dozer ever #catpower
I like the sound of the D(G when it is under load and working hard..
I remember helping dad weld new growser bars on the tracks of one these. Took all day, cutting and grinding the old bars or what was left of them off, welding new ones on.
Love to hear that turbo 👍🇺🇸
Diesel music to the ears. Thanks!
The queen of the fleet!
Cat Diesel Power & that turbocharger sound it’s unforgettable, thanks dad to raise us on that environment.
Nice to see a little warm up
Great reliable old workhorse
Fantastic engineering‼️🥂

Made my day. Thanks for sharing
There's a lot of power in that motor 😊
love those d9 dozers never had the chance to run one
On the plus side, your ripper won't squeak anymore when it goes up and down.
Lol
I always wanted a d8 or a d9 I'm not sure what I would do with it. I think i would just start it up every so often just to listen to it.

Man she started up easy!!! Guess that Texas sun finally found something on the old cat it could get!!!
MONSTER CAT D9G GOES FOR A DRIVE, looks more like it.
Shit, I hate when that happens. Makes such a mess on tractor. Thanks for sharing sir. 👍
Ahhh there’s nothing like the smell of a diesel cat d9!👌😎👍and that turbo diesel sound!
Nice runnin' rig!
Big strong dozer
That is good runing machean great compreshion came alive instantly
What a beauty
a beast of a machine but look quite vintage
Engine sound is Lovely

That leak damn near broke my heart
He'll just make a new hose in his barn...easy fix
Lots of Dozer there, I love 'em but I am near deaf these days from those big, old Cats. The new ones are much quieter, thank God.
Lovely tractors made to look poor these tractors were quick a hard as nails
ese sonido del turbo es hermoso...!!!!

Torque MONSTER
I bet it's a pain to move that down the road but singe it's a 9g with the 14ft blade can yall leave it on?
How much torque does that old beauty have?

Looks like the blade could tilt as it was a bit outta square when he pulled up.
What year is that

It’s a Tom cat spraying it’s territory
Are you the operator,or,the filmer? Lol

We got a leaker Lucky he didn't get sprayed
Beautiful machine, sad that hydraulic blows up
Not hard to fix.
Централизованная смазка бульдозера и машиниста .
Nice sound..hose busted at the end..sad
Dick around on an old machine like that for a few hours and something is bound to happen.
