well i do believe is because this one is more like cartoon oriented, while code lyoko was more anime-style. Hence the variations

And I guess Aelita is dead seeing how she doesn't appear in this short. Meaning this could take place during season 1 in which the Lyoko Warriors fail to defeat X.A.N
A. Or maybe Aelita isn't dead and she is one of the kids there, but if that's the case, then it must be her early design. William could also be in this short, but kind of like Aelita, he could be in an early design, too. Although I could be COMPLETELY wrong with either my first or second theory or even both and they don't appear in this short AT ALL.
