He survived childhood abuse, he should be praised for the hard work he is doing to overcome such a horrid upbringing. The media should be crucified for the awful things they do to someone like Michael.

My eldest son wrote to Michael years ago, and Michael took the time to write back. My son has never forgotten that. Michael is a very warm hearted person.

I saw him in Bournemouth….doing a show years ago…he had the audience in the palm of his hand..his brain was electric…the audience loved him..

    • @Alkatrask
      @Alkatrask 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

I saw him in Bournemouth he used to pay all the lads at the local university in Poole £20 each to come and look at his chuff with a magnifying glass. You had to line up, look and then say something about it. Most lads said “that’s nice” or “isn’t it hairy” couple of cheeky fuckers would say “cor don’t it look swollen” once I said “why is the anus covered in ants” Barrymore took my money back, took down my name and address and went to my house and slapped my mother up the tits. He was well out of order.

God this is a hard watch, there’s still a terrified child in his grown up body… that first few moments in the flat, he was completely traumatised. Hope he’s able to conquer all his demons for good.

I agree. I'm a qualified Counsellor & like you, see, hear & feel his still evident trauma.
I'd say that his life wears him, not he wears his life. Do you understand?
My family migrated to Australia in 1970, so my experience of his amazing talent has only been through this format. But, I had the same experiences re entertainment & life (minus the domestic abuse) including being a Skinhead ❤️
I've caught up with Michaels' life & can tell you that, from my training & observation skills that I don't believe he was in anyway COMPLICIT, with that young man's drowning. That in fact, he was set-up...

He is a brilliant show man but he should also tell the truth about the man found dead in his pool. That was someone’s son , child. I don’t know the facts but he could have survived if his agents or lawyers had advised him better in my opinion.

Absolutely right............he IS "GREATLY" missed............what REALLY use to "piss" me off......was EVERY time the "pool" incident was brought up "his" name was always the only name mentioned...(Wrong!!).............although he was NOT the only person in his house......there was others there......to me he was "crucified"..because of his fame...( an easy target!!!!).......yes it was his house...but you can only be in "one" room at one time................what a waste of entertainment NOT seeing this guy........Love u Michael!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Childhood trauma is terrible. Happened to a friend of mine. They have a lot of the same behaviours, though my friend never had anyone raped and murdered in his pool and him run away. Maybe that was more to do with murdering rapists being his friends. I don’t know I’m not a doctor like all you numpties apparently are. God bless.

I saw that on video last night. He was not thinking clearly while under the influence of what ever it was, and he ran. I think because he was more worried about possessing the illegal drugs. That's all he could think about. The illegal drugs. And no one would care about that. But in his drugged or drunken state of mind he panicked. He didn't realize that it would not have mattered. People are taking that stuff everywhere. He panicked over something that was not THAT important. He's not the type to harm anyone. He should have stood his ground. But he was not thinking clearly. I don't believe he harmed anyone. That young guy must have staggered into the pool and drowned. It's all very sad. Michael Barrymoore should put that entire event behind him. It's time to retire anyway. Do something completely different. Teach others.

I'm a big Barrymore fan but it's really sad the time has come and gone. Back in the day there was Edmonds, Forsyth, Des O Connor, it was all family based entertainment - it's not like that now. Michael wouldn't last 2 minutes before being cancelled, most of the fun and laughter from his shows would be banned today. That clip of him having a laugh with the older lady on Strike it Rich - can you imagine that today? The woke lobby would be storming the studio and demanding the closure of the station.

He should be back on the screens. People deserve a 2nd chance don't they? They're quick to judge others but none of them were at the party when they found the body in the pool. So basically they can't judge because they weren't there. And don't know what really happened that day Not only that all the best comics have gone now so as true entertainment. It's all this realty rubbish these days. Haven't had a TV licence in years and don't miss it.

@constantinethecrabbit lmao it's actually hilarious people forget this, also his story changed all time aswell as the sister of the guy. plus the amount of people that was allowed in to the crime scene afterwards to clean up any more evidence. the Pool thermo was also missing when it was clearly in the scenes after pictures. I think it's obvious what went down and he was placed in the pool almost hours after he died. everyone in the house should at that time should be locked up imo as they all knew about it and all took the silence.

It such a shame to watch this man he clearly unwell or even come off something whilst filming. The slurred speech and the difficulties putting words together. Show a man very down on life.
It's such a shame that people did not pick up on this or chose to ignore his poor mental health

His personal life is not our business.
His misfortune was drugs and drink.
There are millions like him. As he says, he is 100% innocent.
My gut instinct at the first mention that he was connected with Stuart's passing, was "no way".
Poor man, please Michael, give it another shot. 🙏🙏🙏
You can still still be brave and incredibly funny for us all once again.
Don't get used to being alone:
Its not natural - embrace your days ahead.
    You are loved! 😘😘😘

Coming from a family of addicts I can tell at the beginning of this video he is on something. My guess is he was scared of doing the video and needed some help to get him through it.

Again I still think he knows something about that party I don’t at all think he did anything to Stuart himself, he states he’s a coward many times on this program and that makes sense to why he ran away which made him look even worse, he gave me a lot of smiles when I was a kid and gave me a lot of memories. We need a strike it rich return with Barrymore 👏

Omg Michael I remember doing the exact same thing, trying to block out the sound of my parents arguing. It really messes your head up growing up with such violence. We left numerous times but my mother always went back. I didn’t want to but it wasn’t my choice.

Michael, your biting your nails during this interview. Reminds me of my gay brother. He went to California early 70's then Londen early 80's. Came home to die of Aids in 85. He was so so funny. My best friend. Love to you 😊

This is so upsetting for him I miss this man he'd a hard upbringing, what happened with that tragic accident was not his fault he can't be held totally responsible for other people actions as sad as the whole thing was, he's paid for it being this man back

We need to learn to accept every type of person.
Not just for sexualities or whatever.
    Because it's nobody's business, anyway.
Also should accept all people no matter the colour .
A d that way the world be a better place.
