Hopefully we get a non linear infantry only map in the future. With how much this level design team has learned throughout the life cycle of 2042, I think an urban inf map would be incredible.
I've been having quite a lot of fun on this map, and I'm firmly in the metro "hater" camp. The worst part is your team pushing the same hallway over and over despite the convenient flanks, LOL
1000% agree. I don’t get how it’s fun to just fight over 1 hallway, I’m glad dice designed the map for flanking and back capping in mind
Would love to see a non-linear infantry map. When they released the Hourglass rework, lots of people were upset the colosseum was cut. Maybe they could overhaul the layout of it and focus a whole infantry map out of it.

I lolled so hard. When I was the only taking the flank tunnel, I saw one other teammate taking the same route, I was amazed! Only to realise it was an AI soldier 🤣

As someone who loathes metro/locker/argonne/suez meat grinder meme maps, this map was never going to win me over. In fact when i saw the map layout for the first time in the spawn menu and watched my team get stuck at the A point, I immediately went and played some other game. Though after watching this video, it is nice to see that they made some parts of the map more digestable if you're able to survive getting camped at A(That stairs section seems like complete AIDS tho). Keep up the good work!

If BF42 wasn’t an explosion fest maybe I would like this map more but it’s not as bad as operation underground.
if you enjoy having no idea where the enemy could come from, enjoy getting flanked, you will enjoy this map. i think metro/locker are far superior
This map reinforces to me that as many problems that the game had at launch and still have, maps were and still are the biggest of them all. You can just see how many players stuck around after the free weekend because of redacted.
If that was the case, BF4 would never had a community to begin with
Great video as always Gravity! Until this day, I avoided buying BF2042 bc its shitty and I didnt want to support EAs greed, but this video actually gave me some hope. With a handful maps of this quality, this game would be worth the price. I really like, that they finally understand, that sufficient cover is the most important aspect of maps (which made BF3s maps so great).
Hate this map. Plus they have reduced how many grenades a grenade launcher carries.
BF2042 will go down in the gaming history books as the worst FPS ever
That's a bold statement. Biggest failure? Biggest dissapointment? Absolutely. But "the worst FPS ever" is just not true.
