Somewhere in a alternate reality Bruce turned down the offer to audition for Maiden because he already was in a great band that was going places. And is now working at a 9-5 dead end job remembering those days from the past.
Samson's Shock Tactics album sounds more like Number of the Beast album than first Iron Maiden's albums. That was a great band. Two Minutes to Midnight sounds like Riding With the Angels by Samson.
Head On is a great album, very of its time and still a good listen today. I love Paul Samson's guitar playing from the early metal stuff to the more bluesy stuff. Totally an influence. Shocked myself the other day when I worked out it'll be 20 years next year that he passed away - Hence the nostalgia trip that brought me to this gem. Brucie's kung fu outfit and the Luke Skywalker comment have given me my best laugh of the week so far. I'd love to see this cleaned up further... However, am I the only one who now feels the urge to watch "Heavy Metal" then "Bad News" back to back?
@@traceyzebra3528 Can't beat a bit of metal nostalgia. I flogged off my vinyl years ago and only listened to jazz for the past 20 years on cd etc. Then set up my old stereo last year and bang, nostalgia bug and have been buying all the old metal albums back that I used to own. Saxon, Priest, Vardis etc. And of course Head On by Samson, my fav NWOBHM album. Such a great LP, it was my lockdownn soundtrack, much to the annoyance of wife and kids.

What's so fascinating about dickinson is that you can see his progression from unpolished to one of the best ever. He kinda learned how to sing as he went.
@@dawidszymanuszka4996 Not really that big of a fan of Halford. He's good, but Bruce Dickinson is the greatest for me, followed by Ronnie James Dio and Michael Kiske.
Great songs, both of them. I love the 80's contemporary romance rock of the second song. All Bruce however, nothing to be ashamed of there, the man can sing.
Vice Versa was featured in a low budget horror film called the Incubus, first time I heard Bruce Dickinson as Iron Maiden was looking for a new singer at the time, the rest is history. The movie was out in 79 or early 80

Yeah. Bruce was great in Samson. But when he joined Maiden, his voice went to a whole new level. And now he's one of the most legendary heavy metal vocalists of all time. 🤘🤘

Samson were great and Nickie Moore fits better than bruce in the band (Don't get mad get even!!),but he was the best singer for maiden, after Paul had to leave.
Los objetivos de Samson, no eran los de Bruce. Bruce era más ambicioso,en buenos términos. Los integrantes de Samson solo ganaban dinero para consumir sustancias, dicho por el propio Bruce...
In the first half, the music is average at best. Then the song stops, and returns a lot better. I think I'll download and will edit, removing the first half of the song entirely.
Two different songs! Vice Versa is actually a great piece of music, but Shock Tactics is the better album with Bruce. The guitarist and bassist are both dead now, but the drummer "Thunderstick" is still alive and unbelievably released another album a few years ago.

Good... and Paul never did drugs and stayed in Maiden making albums like the first two ! 👍🏻
Samson's Shock Tactics album sounds more like Number of the Beast album than first Iron Maiden's albums. That was a great band. Two Minutes to Midnight sounds like Riding With the Angels by Samson.
That’s how it works
Bruce manages to make this shit sound good
It's so crazy to be able to see this.
Samson's album Head On from which these two tracks come from is a good piece of early 80's metal. RIP Paul Samson.
