My grandpa's car was a JDM 86 GT with a 4AGE engine. I inherited it and it's such and odd experience to me. I just remember all the memories i had and i can't help to cry and feel so much joy by being behind the wheel of it. Every time i see one that it's not mine just brings me a smile on my face. Please take care of yours. It's such a great car
I have an st165 and an st162 used by toyota to showcase the car in fairs. This is one of my favourite toyotas (and cars) ever. Curiously enough, the thing I like the least are the pop-ups; the car looks absolutely sleek and stunning with them down, ugly and wonky with them up. Everybody is always "omg the pop-ups are so cool, you must love them" and I'm "actually, I kind of dislike them" A question of opinion I guess.
Glad you discovered the joys of this car. Had an '88 when I was in Japan and ended up letting it go. One of my biggest regrets in my automotive history. Don't let this divine specimen go unless you know you won't regret doing so. ;-) Nicely done man!
Oh yeah, I grow to like this car more and more. I actually just bought an MR2 the other day (it’s been all over my Instagram, TH-cam vid coming soon lol) and I have to admit it felt weird it wasn’t the Celica. I only got to drive it for 2 hours on the way home before tearing the thing apart though haha. It’s in ok shape but needs some cleaning up and tuning. As I work on it, it feels more and more mine at though. Anyways the Celica is still a favorite and my way more practical daily.
@@RetraCast congrats on the MR2! Best of luck with it but I don't think you'll need it since you are the proud owner of a legend. As much as I like the Celi, you're doing right to tear down the the Mr2 and build it right. Looking forward to more content bud!
Thanks man, I’m shooting more car reviews like this over the summer. Hoping it grows the channel enough to gain the support to shoot a whole series dedicated to an Initial D inspired series like the opening with racing, car culture, and tuning. Either way if that happens or not, stay tuned for more car vids and thanks again.
I've had one of these before, I sold it and I missed it so much I've bought another one and I'm restoring it right now. To fix the issue with the passenger door, remove the inner door panel and check if the window touches these metal wires that operate the handle from the outside. It's a pretty common issue with these and it takes only about half an hour to fix.
Thanks man, I’m working on a bunch more car vids rn. This was like a first test run haha, so I’m hoping the rest come out even better. So stay tuned, I’m writing rn and hoping to start shooting next week
I can’t imagine how much effort you put into this man! This truly is a beautiful showcase of the iconic celica. So much so you have fully inspired me to get my own! Wish me luck!
Saw your MR2 project in a search, but I absolutely had to start here! My first car was an '86 Celica GT-S. Similar, but with a more powerful twin-cam 3S-GE engine that packed 135HP in US trim and in the coupe body style versus liftback. Loved that thing. The 4th-gen Celica was well-reviewed for its handling, considered to be one of the best-handling FWD platforms of its era. It also has a significant motorsports history due to the ST165(called the Alltrac here and the GT-Four overseas); the first Japanese turbo AWD car to enter WRC and the car that dethroned Lancia's winning streak in 1990 at the hands of Carlos Sainz. I'm on my third 4th-gen Celica, an ST165 that I've owned for the past five years. She's been used as a daily at several points and despite some knocks has never let me down. Parts are incredibly difficult to find due to rarity(only 10K ST165s were made and most stayed in Japan) but to me it's worth it. Best of luck with your projects! I'm looking forward to more progress on your AW11.
Always means a lot to hear from other Celica owners. It’s just not a car you hear as much about. Good luck with yours too but honestly it sounds well like you know what you’re doing haha. I’m having a ton of fun working on the MR2 (am just now uploading a new episode for it!) and hope someday I can do the same for the Celica when it no longer needs to be my only daily driver.
I’m also an owner of an 86 Celica, but I have the gts. It is an amazing car to drive, and I get a lot of looks from younger and older guys, and I don’t blame them. I love how my car looks, and how quick it is while being so reliable makes me happy with my purchase. The back roads is what the car is destined to live in, and it surprises me how much speed I can carry in a corner, even when it feels like it’s slipping, it still gives me confidence since I can feel when I’m at my limits. But in conclusion. The 86 Celica is the perfect runabout car with a lot of practicality, while being a peppy car. And i give Toyota respect for being such an amazing company at that time.
I wanna do a modern day initial d inspired series someday. It’d be about fixing up an old beater and tuning it to compete with more powerful stuff and newer cars. Thinking I’d focus it on a first gen MR2 cuz they’re cool but also snap oversteer could be an interesting threat to work with. I’d try to include plenty of car culture of today like car meets, repair shops, mods, and stuff. And of course there’d be plenty of racing. Anyways, big project but someday when I have the funds I want to do it. I’d have to include way more people for it but I know I could do it. Literally shot this with minimal planning and in a few nights as a test video to experiment with some techniques.
Love your video style & aesthetic :) Also nice to see the Celica get some love in such a nicely produced video, I agree that if it had been RWD it'd have been way more popular. Probably as popular as the AE86 (same engines, after all. It came with a 4A, 4A-GE or 3S-GE). But the Celica, even if it's FWD, is still a very fun car to drive indeed :) Seeing some of the hacky solutions & faded paint makes me want to come over and fix up your Celica though :P If you want to make the paint look 10x better, just polish it up! It's single-stage paint, so it doesn't take much to make it look nice again. Power steering having an oil leak is common damage to be truthful. (Most of the time it's the reservior) Can't wait to see what other car videos you have planned, and I hope you get to enjoy your Celica for much more to come.
Thanks hahaha, I too def need to get that Celica fixed up a bit. My old car was a 1979 fiat spider that was beautiful (it’ll be in the next vid) but it’s in storage til I graduate cuz I don’t have a garage or spare repair funds in college. I took such good care of that car but this is really just my daily to get through the times. But I’ve ended up loving it more than I expected. Anyways, thanks for watching and stay tuned!
At the ripe age of 19 my dad told me to buy a 2005 upwards car.. Anyways I bought an Auto 1986 Celica SX. In my Defence the car is in immaculate condition with only 190,000km . the body and interior is stunning and this car is honestly the best thing that ive got my hands on. The smiles and the stories people have to come tell me when they see the car makes the day.
I agree. Honestly I’m so used to it now when I see my friends Celica (he has the same one but a later year) with the spoiler it looks off to me hahaha. If I had one I’m sure I’d change my mind quick though haha.
Great video Sir. Your car looks so cool, l own 2 88 mr2. A supercharged and a gen4 with about 275hp I wish you all the luck with your video series I will support as much as I can
They’re super common and cheap in my area. Lucky for me haha. If you like Toyota’s I actually just bought an 89 MR2 and am working on a project build video series right now.
@@RetraCast LOL funny thing is i've seen more MR2s for sale than 87 Celicas in my area. There was an MR2 for 2500 in my area but was sold within minutes and I was too late. Was just an old couples car that they had no use for anymore and had a salvaged title but for 2500?!? That was a steal.
That is pretty funny. It’s the opposite over here. The MR2s here are like $2000 and need an engine rebuild. The one I just got was a fair enough price for what it is. Runs fine but needs cosmetic work and a muffler mainly. At least that’s what I can tell so far. Never really know til you drive it a lot. Just uploaded the first work vid of it
Been watching since your first video on the celica and i absolutely adore your videos, your camerawork is great! I’m surprised more people don’t know about you
Thanks I really appreciate it. I feel like school and work has put inconsistencies in my videos and schedule. But finally this summer I’m at 1000 subs, I saved up for the new camera, and I have the time to just focus on videos for a couple months. It’s all coming together and I feel I now have the experience level to do my best work so I hope it shows in the next stuff to come. Hoping the channel grows more soon.
If you crave this beatery-only-cool-for-you-and-reliable vibe in cars, you can get a slow, but well maintained e36 too. I got one myself to learn RWD and man I fell in love.
I get your love for the old school Toyota Celica. My first car was a 1983 Toyota Celica GT Hatchback. Such a beautiful car. I absolutely loved driving it till my boyfriend totaled it 😞
I bought a gen 5 Celica 2.2l as a beater about 2 years ago. Cost me $850, and I used it to make deliveries for a local takeout company. It rapidly became my favorite car, because of how fun it is to drive. A year ago I sanded away and resprayed the paint with the stock red color and added a red pearl effect coat and gave it a gnarly shine. Fixed most of its issues over time until the bearings blew. Ordered a new motor from Japan a while ago and swapping it in soon, most likely next weekend. I need this car back they are the best
Dang what a steal. Yeah I long for the day to eventually repaint mine. They’d look so nice with fresh paint. But the MR2 has been my focus lately (though that car shows me a lot less love). Good luck on the swap
It's a shame the majority of people seeing this likely come from the Initial D subreddit, because the quality really is good. The cinematic parts remind me of Petrolicious or Gears and Gasoline, and even the cheesy Initial D movie's race scenes, which I found to be pretty good! -On a side note, I need fog lights like those on my future car now.
Yeah the reddit seriously boosted this. I’m really happy to at the least have somewhere to get a start off and hopefully the views will pick up from there. Thanks for checking it out and I hope you get to see the next car vids I got combing. As for the fog lights, YES, they are so sweet haha. They always drain my battery cuz I forget it turn them off since it’s a separate switch, but they’re really cool looking hahaha.
You aren't too far from me. I'm in Tacoma area. I am a huge Celica enthusiast. I can fix your door, I know exactly what is wrong with it. A little yellow L shaped clip that holds the outside door handle to the rod. Somewhat common to break and thankfully easy to fix. It would also fix your window issue. I'd also be able to take a look at why your AC isn't working but no promises on a fix. If it's electronic, I should be able to fix it. There is probably other things I can fix as well. I think I have some of the clips on hand but I'll have to check to make sure I have the correct side since they are Left or Right. I wouldn't charge you a dime btw, I'd prefer to see another Celica taken care of.
I miss driving my 88 gts those pop up headlamps were one of my favorite things next to the 7200 rpm redline with the engine in that model, I can't recall how many people were blown away with how fast that car was.
I recently bought a 89 gt convertible, it’s the best car I’ve bought so far n’ I just got another one an 88 gts with the manual all I have to do is just replace the engine. I can’t wait to learn it how to drive a manual so I can what it feels like💯🔥🔥
My first car was a 94 Explorer, I now have a 2018 Escape. Even though I never drove cool sports cars or sedans in my first years of driving, I 100% agree with your closing remarks. My 2018 Escape is better in almost every way than my 94 Explorer. The only thing the Explorer has on the Escape is it’s off road capabilities. I have to admit though, the Explorer still has this charm to it that is very unique to it. The Escape does too, but I haven’t had it long enough for it to be as nostalgic.
I have an '89 produced on month to the day before I was born, the original owner purchased it the day I was born, and I found her on CL three blocks from where I was living at the time...and to be completely honesty; I feel like she's my automotive soul-mate.
Had plenty of Celicas over the years, also including a 1986 red gen 4. Interestingly, from 1985 through to 1999, the gen 4, 5 and 6 Celicas were effectively the same vehicle underneath.
Dude my dream is also a aw11. I cant believe im watching this video because im falling in love with this 4th gen celica... I wish i could get either... I have an audi tt and as much as i love it, I needdddd a toyota of the 80s. I love this video
I wish you luck man. 80s Japanese cars are getting more valuable but these have stayed pretty low, at least I’m my area. You’ll probably find one around
Just found this channel, and I gotta say I'm loving the content! I just grabbed up my proper first long term car which is a '85 MR2 which I plan to maintain and keep in great condition while maybe doing some AutoX later down the line after I get the car 100%. I ran upon this video from your AW11 series and it's a trip because before I bought my MR2, I was heavily considering an '86 Celica GTS which was in great shape, before realizing I've always loved the AW11 and should just pony up the extra cash to grab one. I spent almost twice as much buying the AW11 then what the GTS was listed for but I can't say I regret it, I do wish I had some funds to perhaps snag the GTS as a daily driver!
Nice! Yeah the MR2 is def a much cooler and more fun car but the Celica is just simply a better daily driver. And way more reliable for the cost hahaha. I don’t regret getting the Celica at all and it’s done more for me than the MR2, but the MR2 will be the one I always prefer
@@RetraCast Absolutely, the Celica has grown on me a lot over the past few months, but the AW11 will always be top dog for me! Please keep up the great content, I'll be watching your videos! (If you start working full time, post some quick and easy dash cam curvy road bits!)
I just got my Celica a few days ago! It's not the manual but it's still the GT trim. I plan on doing the swap once I have the the few problems it has fixed.
Nice, I hope you enjoy it! They’re fun cars and good looking if in better shape than mine haha. As for the swap though, a manual swap is a big undertaking from my understanding. You’ll pretty much need a whole 2nd manual parts car to do it since you need a new ECU, interior trim, new pedals, installing a clutch fluid line, some other random small parts, and the transmission itself. The parts alone will probably cost more to do than the car itself. Not trying to discourage you, but I’d really look into it before you do anything.
@@RetraCast oh I know I'll cost alot more than it's worth but I feel like itll be a better car for it. I've got a buddy of mine who is really into old toyotas. Hes built an entire AE86 from the frame up. And from what I understand the 86 Celica and the AE aren't that different from each other. If he cant though I'll just take it to a nice shop to have them do the swap for me. Once I have the money of course. Lol.
A tip for you is that you could make someone hold the camera on shots from another car, that removes the shakyness and could make the camera follow the car better
Totally agree. I actually even have a gimbal for it but this vid was started as honestly more an experiment to test the new gear and a bunch of techniques for future car videos coming. That’s also kinda why the lighting honestly varies a lot in different shots in the intro. Anyways, yeah a third person to shoot is def ideal but for this I simply just didn’t have anyone I wanted to call on yet haha. I will for the next few projects though. Anyways thanks for watching and stay tuned for those coming.
Dude! I miss my 86 Convertible so damn much... :/ I need to swap the broken engine and I already have a replacement one, but time and money are not on my side.... So I drive by the shack it rests in every single day and it hurts. Your videos are helping me value this old block of stylish sheetmetal and are a little relief for me, so thanks. Btw.: mine is in a similar shape and I know the feeling, when others aren't quite enjoying it as much as I'd like them to. Quite annoying sometimes. XD
Wish you luck on that swap one day. And yeah man, beater life is not a popular life hahaha. Also I know your pain. I have a 1969 Honda CL90 motorcycle I got in high school and it didn’t run very well. It was my first time working on an engine myself (my dad helped me a lot with my old Fiat Spider), and I have done more harm than good to that little thing. I feel bad every time I see it back home. Someday I’ll get it fixed the right way or professionally though.
@@RetraCast Thank you. :) Well I'm starting to be mildly successfull on converting "New-Car Guys" to rat and beater fans. I like to tell them, that my Celica is my automotive inkarnation, since we both are a little old, yet sporty; whacky, yet stylish; and have a lot of battle scars that we can be proud of... ;)
@@Lol_lol_lol_lol_lol_ I'm definetly going to. This year my buddy and I are buying a lifting platform, to get his Audis and my little treasure running again. ^_^
I considered making the intro in 4:3 and also maybe doing some more VHS grain hahaha. Decided against it for this one though but I wanna do more stylized cinematic stuff like that in the future
@@RetraCast I know, the 85 is the last RWD platform on a celica that’s why I want that year but by fully commit I mean on getting a celica from the 80s, it will be a first for me!
my dad owns the GT its black on OZ rasing wheels i has the engine form the st185 i think and it has an MR2 gearbox and has gt4 breaks. it drives super smothhh
Honestly I love your aesthetic and your camera work and watching this video made made want to find a beater of my own and I also wanted to make my own initial d series of the same story low key i write scripts on my freetime. Keep it up man 🔥🔥🔥. Maybe we can work on a script together if you e er decide to go forward with it. But keep up the good work 👏 👌 💪
I was re-watching your previous Celica video just today, looking for inspiration on how to capture my Celica 5, just to be surprised to see a new one is up. Perfect timing :) Also If you could share it: What's your camera/lens setup?
Hey, yeah I’m actually gonna be doing a behind the scenes where I walkthrough how the whole video was shot. It’ll be on my second channel (link in description). I plan on getting it up next week if I’m not busy with my next main vid. Anyways, it’s a fujifilm x-t4 with a 12mm f2, 35mm f1.4, and a 56mm f1.2. But the camera stuff is really only a fraction of what went into the vid and arguably not the most important. There’s also suction car mounts, an led light panel, an rgb led light panel, a gimbal, and lots of techniques and tricks in setting up each shot and editing them.
This is my first car 23 years ago. Very good car for driving experience. Not rear wheel drive 😕 Version 4x4 turbo is the best. With rear original spojler looks beter.👍
I recently got a toyota celica for my 16th birthday but its a st185 (STX) front wheel drive automatic coupe needs some work but luckly it has no rust or anything and came with some nice mods! from what i know i need to replace the fuel pump and it should start still debating if i should make videos on it and post it
Honestly if you have the time and gear for it, might as well film the work and see where it goes. Worst case you can just stop later but you can’t reshoot what already happened haha
@@RetraCast After all this time It's been sent to the best mechanic in the area last Friday so now I'm waiting for it's wonderful return to see it finally run lol, When I commented I didn't know as much about it as I do today. Its actually a st184 coupe STX model to be more correct with it so sadly no slick hatch back but hey it works just as nice if a s13 can look good as a coupe so can a Celica

I'm close to gaining ad revenue soon which I'm stoked about. Anyways, thanks again for everything, hope you enjoy my future projects.
I Have a Jeep TJ and a Subi Legacy Wagon And been trying to add a Celica to finish my collection for now. Debating on the 84-85 liftback. Or one of these models. Flippys for sure. Alltrac would be nice. But man is it hard to find non convertible, manual in my area in good condition.
Nice car! I own a ‘87 Celica facelift with a 4a-ge engine. The red paint is fu... as yours, but I love to drive it. For more Initial D experience, I bought an original ae86 chime and install it to hear it when you get overspeed (100km/h like Takumi’s 86). Is a pain in the ass when you are at highway but you can always put eurobeat 🤣 In my city everyone knows the famous “Tofu Celica”. It's single-stage paint, so it doesn't take much to make it look nice again. Power steering having an oil leak is common damage to be truthful. (Most of the time it's the reservior)
Can't wait to see what other car videos you have planned, and I hope you get to enjoy your Celica for much more to come.
The backend could really be spruced up with the stock lip spoiler
I agree. Honestly I’m so used to it now when I see my friends Celica (he has the same one but a later year) with the spoiler it looks off to me hahaha. If I had one I’m sure I’d change my mind quick though haha.
Love the intro and of course the car! Great solution for the speaker as well, DIY for the win!!
Great video Sir. Your car looks so cool, l own 2 88 mr2. A supercharged and a gen4 with about 275hp I wish you all the luck with your video series I will support as much as I can
Thanks! I’m hoping to get my own MR2 project on the road soon to do another big video on
Been looking for one of these for a while. I love Toyota cars.
Just uploaded the first work vid of it
I bought a 1989 Toyota Celica ST brand new. Drove it to almost 250k LOVED that car.
This is a fantastically made and cinematically beautiful video. Glad I found it!
Watch midship retra. Even better
Saw that one. The little bit with the cassette before the run is great.
I absolutely loved driving it till my boyfriend totaled it 😞
What a terrible boyfriend it sounds like
3:07 *RACERS DONT NEED GIRLFRIENDS!*
Lonely Drivers!!!
Currently looking at and 1987, white with blue/purple interior. Your video pretty much just sold me on it!🤙
Hahaha nice, I wish you luck and good times with it
Brooo my brother does tōge at the Rainer mountain pass! I’ve been wanting to learn how to record like this for a minute now!
Phenomenal video, love the filters bro
This gave me the biggest smile
Thanks for this video, gold
Ahh another video of your Celica? Nice
I just got an 88 celica gt for my first car!! Made sure to get it in manual though,I can’t wait to start driving it.
Working on my 87 Celica St now cant wait to get back on the road
I'm In love with everything about this car and this editing, so awesome to see other people's celicas
"It does work. You don't see it, and I don't really care."
If you got Instagram, hmu in the dm. The link is in the video description. I’d be down to chat and come by when I can
I miss driving my 88 gts those pop up headlamps were one of my favorite things next to the 7200 rpm redline with the engine in that model, I can't recall how many people were blown away with how fast that car was.
Awesome video mate! Loved the camerawork. Makes me want to do touge runs in my car again lol
My mom had an ‘87 when I was growing up in the 90s/early 2000s, coolest car ever
Definitely the best balance of practical and fun you can find for the price especially
Great video. I have literally the same car. Except automatic ( wish it was stick shift). Not many of them around anymore.
What a beautiful video, just got one offered to me but it’s the convertible and I’m seriously considering
Ain’t nothing wrong with convertibles (assuming they’re don’t leak like crazy lol). Definitely a slightly different vibe but a great one regardless
Now this is epic
Lol the HD version isn’t even finished processing and you’ve already watched the inferior SD load hahaha
That was awesome!
I have an '81 celica and man is she amazing
I have an '89 produced on month to the day before I was born, the original owner purchased it the day I was born, and I found her on CL three blocks from where I was living at the time...and to be completely honesty; I feel like she's my automotive soul-mate.
Dang that’s crazy haha. You better keep that thing forever haha
Had plenty of Celicas over the years, also including a 1986 red gen 4. Interestingly, from 1985 through to 1999, the gen 4, 5 and 6 Celicas were effectively the same vehicle underneath.
Awesome car my dude
Great vids!
This is my dream car, I want it so badly.
It’s sad that people don’t really hear about the 80’s celiacs anymore, I have an 85 and I love every minute of driving it
Dude my dream is also a aw11. I cant believe im watching this video because im falling in love with this 4th gen celica... I wish i could get either... I have an audi tt and as much as i love it, I needdddd a toyota of the 80s. I love this video
Lucky for you I have an entire series on my AW11. Also watch Midship Retra
man i want this car, 2 years till i get a car i hope there will be one then, looks so goood
(If you start working full time, post some quick and easy dash cam curvy road bits!)
currently saving to try and get one right now as my first car 👌
That's awesome great video great car
Lol.
You make great videos
Thanks man, hoping to really get focused on more stuff this summer
I like your video I had a toyota celica 86 they run smooth
Deja vu deja vu everywhere
dejau vu.. I've just read this meme before
Dude! I miss my 86 Convertible so damn much... :/
I need to swap the broken engine and I already have a replacement one, but time and money are not on my side....
Well I'm starting to be mildly successfull on converting "New-Car Guys" to rat and beater fans. I like to tell them, that my Celica is my automotive inkarnation, since we both are a little old, yet sporty; whacky, yet stylish; and have a lot of battle scars that we can be proud of... ;)
Hope you restore it 🥲
@@Lol_lol_lol_lol_lol_ I'm definetly going to. This year my buddy and I are buying a lifting platform, to get his Audis and my little treasure running again. ^_^
Your videos are great! Reminds me of the old VW I used to own
My second car I bought back in 2002 was a spray can purple 86 celica gt just like this one.
This kid is living the Initial D life
You should watch Midship Retra on my channel if you’re a fellow initial d fan
ManI have a 92 Celica and I love it.
For some reason, I wish some of it was in 5:4 format ... 😲
I considered making the intro in 4:3 and also maybe doing some more VHS grain hahaha. Decided against it for this one though but I wanna do more stylized cinematic stuff like that in the future
This made me fully commit, currently looking for an 85 gts lift back! Live the video
The 85 model is a completely different car and generation
@@RetraCast I know, the 85 is the last RWD platform on a celica that’s why I want that year but by fully commit I mean on getting a celica from the 80s, it will be a first for me!
This is fucking brilliant
Thanks haha. Super impressed with the opening. Still waiting on the HD version to process before sharing it everywhere hahaha
91 eclipse 🥵 very similar car to the Celica in many ways
Hopefully going to be picking one up here soon
It's such a shame the Celica is so slept on, especially compared to the Mr2 and Corolla of that era...
Idk y ur voice is so relaxing
I get this comment a surprising amount. I really have no idea why though hahaha
my dad owns the GT its black on OZ rasing wheels i has the engine form the st185 i think and it has an MR2 gearbox and has gt4 breaks. it drives super smothhh
Doing a head gasket on mine real soon. Nice video!
But keep up the good work 👏 👌 💪
Tbh hit me up on Instagram (link is in the vid description). I could be down to collab at some point if our visions line up
@@RetraCast bet. Do you have discord by any chance my Instagram is acting weird
That's cool car, and it has got a great pottencial. And a soul...
GLAD TO SEE YOUNGER FOLK LOVE RETROS , THUMBS UP ,IV'E GOT ONE
This is awesome 👌
Love my 84
I was re-watching your previous Celica video just today, looking for inspiration on how to capture my Celica 5, just to be surprised to see a new one is up. Perfect timing :)
Also If you could share it: What's your camera/lens setup?
@@RetraCast Thanks! I would love behind the scenes too. Your videos/photos look really pro :)
Best Celica ever made
There seems to be a big pattern of 4th gen celicas A/C not working. Almost every video of this car it is stated that the A/C wasn't working.
It is weird cuz my 1989 MR2’s AC worked perfectly fine. Not as strong as it should be but it was definitely working.
@@RetraCast Sadly even though everyone seem to have this problem, I cant find any info on how to fix it💀
This is my first car 23 years ago.
It's the ac pulley my celica did the same thing almost right after I replaced the belt
UPDATE:
My MR2 cinematic is finally up over a year later. If you liked the opening, please check this out! th-cam.com/video/4sSpejz8Qso/w-d-xo.html

Thanks for watching and for all the support! It feels great to be back and have all the time and gear I need. I also would love to do a live action Initial D inspired series like the opening here, but with a light story and capture today's modern car culture in it. Obviously I need more funds for something on that level though, so it'll be a while. But if you are interested in joining the MR2 fund, check out the Patreon or honestly just keep watching, that's more than enough to ask for. I'm close to gaining ad revenue soon which I'm stoked about.
Anyways, thanks again for everything, hope you enjoy my future projects.
If you want to preserve the patina of the paint, you could clear directly on it after minor surface prep ... 🤔
Fun-fact, the 4th Gen Toyota Celica had the lowest drag coefficient of 0.23 which was the lowest drag coefficient of any production car of the 80's
I Have a Jeep TJ and a Subi Legacy Wagon
And been trying to add a Celica to finish my collection for now.
I have to admit that I need to fix it properly (previous owner didn’t look after it properly) but I just love how engine sounds while “touging” and its 80’s shape😍
They are great cars. I didn’t know you could install the chime lol. Good luck on yours, hope it gets the work it deserves someday
Fire scenes
consider corollas of the same years go for 10-40k the celica is a very good option especially bc they look very similar
